• Calibration of NOR-9234

  Hi all

  We received one of these hardware DAQ (NOR-9234) and cDAQ-9174 chassis and the waters so to speak check if we want to expand our capabilities.

  I'm running Measurement & Automation Explorer 5.1, and by the NI 9234 installed manual calibration DAQmx 9.5.1.

  I did the magority of exploring how to calibrate it and everything communicates well, but am stuck with a couple or two clarifying questions.

  1. the manual shouts using the chassis NOR cDAQ-9178 with 9234 in slot 8 and all the other empty.  The cDAQ-9174 usable instead, so far, all the prelim-tests I did not show any problems?

  2. that reference manual calibration page 7 step 9 according to the criterion of Phase-matching, he shouts using the extract «only your Infomration.VI»  Is a VI that is available if you have installed a version of LabView, or is this something (I was not able to know how to do) that can be run in the MAX/DAQmx software?  Currently, we don't have labView, but will be willing to make the purchase for this and others if I can get the basic understanding of what we need to do.

  3. If the verification procedures run in the specifications, the 9234 needs uploaded/updated info to update, as the most recent calibration due date or something?

  Well using slot 8 a OR cDAQ-9178 would be ideal, you should be fine using the 4 slot of the NOR cDAQ-9174.  From what I can tell, the manual recommends using the last location because it is farthest from the controller, giving you the best all electric isolation or thermal noise.

  Possibly associated with the HP Ltwvc13n.dllfile. It seems that it is part of the Deskjet, Officejet or software or drivers (you have products HP?). If so, you can try to reinstall to see if it helps (because it can offer the possibility to use these HP products for fax).

  If this isn't the case, then you could see if it is listed in your list of startup programs . If so, disable it to see if it can prevent the error message for you. The procedure (method two) is in the link above.  If this file is not there, looking for something about fax server or HP man (unless you have an HP computer - then you need to be a little careful about what you choose) and disable them too to see if that helps.

  Go to start / Control Panel / programs and features and see if there is a program called man fax server or anything like it either sounds like what you do not recognize installed. If so, click on it and uninstall it (unless you use actually it or may want to use it at a time, as indicated in the first paragraph above).

  Go to start / Control Panel / Accessories / Services and check if there is an entry for Fax Server (or something similar) man.  If so, click it and then click stop if it is started and then click on disable if it shows automatic or manual.  Click OK to save and reboot and see if that helps.

  If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset your operating system to status normal, as explained in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

  I'm working my way through the part of the "verification Procedure" of the "NI PXI-4071 calibration procedure.  Step 3 of the "Call the niDMM Reset VI." verification procedure and display Figure 1. The device, the NI PXI-4071, OK appears in NEITHER-MAX (Figure 2) and works well with the program 'NOR DMM Soft Front Panel'. When I run what I think is the correct code, the error 1074130544, "the session handle is not valid." appears. The BD and FP are shown in Figure 3.

  If you want to call niDMM Reset, you will need to provide a descriptor of instrument rather than a descriptor of instrument.

  To start a session to your DMM and generate a handle of the instrument that you can use with other functions OR DMM, you must first call niDMM to initialize or niDMM initialize with Options.  You can wire the 'Dev1' to pin 'Descriptor of Instrument' and the function returns a handle of the instrument.  You can then wire the "instrument handle" PIN to pin "handle of the instrument" on the Reset niDMM VI.  Whenever you initialize a session to an instrument, it is also to close the session by plugging in the handle of the instrument to a function niDMM close .  The code snippet below shows what I described:

  In addition, it seems that if you call niDMM reset with the default values instead of niDMM reset.  If you have not assigned any of the default values user defined logical name calls then both of your device should be functionally equivalent.

• How can I fix to "corrupt the local profile" on my computer

  This is a typical symptom of a corrupt user profile.  It happens from time to time.  When Windows detects a damaged at the time of the logon user profile, he tends to switch to a temporary user profile that has all the privileges of the user of origin, but otherwise, it looks like you connected for the first time as a new user.  Note that this is a * temporary * profile.  All the files that you save on the desktop or in the "My Documents" folder will not survive a logoff.  It is not too difficult to recover from. Tip: If you use "System Restore" restore to an earlier date, start mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key at startup key) safe and run the system, safe mode restore.  Choose one of the following articles:

  Corruption of user profiles is almost always accompanied, if not caused, the Corruption of system files.  So after recovery, it's a good idea to perform a check disk (chkdsk) complete with the "/ R" or "repair/recover' option.  Note that the audit will take place at the next restart before Windows load fully, can take more than a few hours and can not be interrupted.  Sometimes the drive verification procedure can fix this problem with no further action necessary.

• Receives a box of generic Win 32 error and the sound is off

  I have the latest version of XP sp3. Recently, for seemingly no reason at all, I get a generic error Win 32, my sound card is disabled, and any program, regardless of whether a site like youtube, or a media player such as Windows Media Player will continue to function, but if I change songs or go to another site etc there is not its what so ever.

  My attempts of difficulty not going from site to site and through many blogs, I had no chance.

  -Restart - (allows his work for about 10 minutes then it dies)

  -Tried to repair the operating system via the sfc/scannow command prompt (there is nothing)

  -Ran varies according to program viruses and adware, spybot, avg, windows defender and combofix (Nothing)

  -Created a new profile with administrator privileges (Nothing)

  -Ran all previous scans in safe mode with and without network (Nothing)

  -Download the new drivers from Realtek AC' 97 sound card (Nothing)

  -Uninstalled and enabled the audio driver via My Computer-Properties-Hardware (nothing)

  -Tried reloading sp3 (Nothing)

  -Would like to restore an old save point through the restoration of the system, but after the error for some reason magic all my backup saves went somewhere

  IT IS JUST A PIECE OF MESS.

  Method 1:

  You can remove any external devices connected, especially HP connected devices that remove and check what is happening.

  If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

  Method 2:

  You can also see in clean boot, if the problem occurs.

  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

  If you reinstall the operating system (IE perform a factory reset) using your recovery DVDs, this will also recreate the recovery Partition.  Before doing so, make sure to back up all your personal files etc. because these will be erased when reinstalling.

• How can LRT224 and EA8500, I use them together?

  I work at home and need to have a VPN configuration to access our servers.  My home network is already a linksys EA8500 with wireless support.  My House is wired the outlets that are CAT6 and I have several desktops using electrician and several wireless mobile devices.  I also have a switch Linksys 16/Gb port SE3016.

  I want to be able to keep the wireless support and also to use the LRT224 for my VPN configuration.

  Is this possible?  If so, can you someone let me know how to set up from out of the ISP modem?  Or perhaps point me to a document that describes in detail what to do?

  I have the information to make the VPN settings to the servers of my work, but do not know how to integrate the LRT224 into the rest of my home network.

  You could use EA8500 as a wireless access point and connect one of its LAN ports to a LAN of LRT224 port. The LRT224 will be a WAN port, connect to your modem. This way the firewall/NAT running on port WAN of EA8500 is not used, and server DHCP of LRT224 is one that provides IP addresses for all devices in your network, including Wi-wired and wireless.

  While you set up EA8500, it is advisable to configure a static IP address to the IP LAN of the EA8500, so that you can easily access the web interface of admininstraitve more late for things like changing the SSID (network name) or WPA2 preshared key (network passwords).

  The cyclic redundancy check error is a bit of mathematics used to ensure that your data is correct when transferred. It is a verification procedure that will quickly identify when the data has been corrupted. If you get this message, it means that the file is read by your PC or your software is corrupted.

  If you use a Bluetooth adapter installation DVD, it may be damaged or may have a lot of mistakes in this regard.

  I suggest that you check if the disc contains scratches or dirty on it and clean the surface with the useful of clean, dry cloth and try again.
  If the previous step fails then I would suggest that you visit the Bluetooth adapter manufacturer site, download and install the drivers for it.
