  Although xp pro & home was released in 2001, unless the xp installation cd has

  SP2 or SP3, windows update add data from the operating system. However, once xp is up & running

  go to the website of Board mfg (intel/amd/etc), download the chipset installation

  utility + internet connection software/drivers if you are using an eithernet connection. Download

  downloads specifically for your motherboard.

  Hi!, I have motherboard ECS P4M800Pro M2 Ver2.0, 2.2 GHz E4500 processor Intel Core2DUO, DDR2 533 MHz 2 GB RAM hardware with WINDOWS 8 32 Bit operating system. The motherboard has 64 MB S3 UniChrome Pro IGP.

  Further to have better graphics during the game, I bought recently NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256 MB AGP 8 x video card. Since I installed this card, windows has installed its driver game by default "Microsoft generic display drivers" and the quality of the graphics is off nominal. Also the 1366 x 768 resolution widescreen is currently not available. The best resolution I have now is 1024 x 768. In this resolution, the graphics of Windows seems very strange on my LG 19 "widescreen monitor.

  I tried to install the graphics card drivers on the NVidia site for the old version of Windows, but the drivers are installed with an error message "Pilot" not Compatible with this Version of Windows.

  By default windows drivers has release date older than the drivers supplied on OEM for Windows XP.

  Please help me to get the drivers for the AGP card compatible with my Windows 8 Pro.

  Or how can I force install the older drivers in Windows 8.

  Windows 8 compatibility reports that NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 graphic card is compatible with Windows 8. Check out the link

  You can check if you have downloaded the 64 bit version of the graphics driver rather than 32-bit.  It could be the possibility for this error message.

  I can't find a driver for my network card. I guess he should have appeared in the nForce drivers, I downloaded, but after several installed the tent and restarts there still as "PCI Device" and "Other PCI bridge device" with only show 1394 in my network connections. I tried to manually update drivers for PCI devices without result.

  It seems that the Vista 64 bit drivers are not being released especially for this series of laptop.

  My laptop came without such a DVD, there is just a recovery partition.

  There is no required special installation order
  But I would start with common as drivers:
  Display driver, driver LAN, Wlan driver, Modem driver, card reader controller, driver for the touchpad, etc..

  The driver control must be installed before the controls (utility).
  Try it simply.

  This is right. I had the same problem with Vista and the boot Vista DVD to repair the Vista Boot Manager

  Not because it s not the same thing.
  The recovery image will format the HARD drive and partitions and will delete the installed Win XP.

  Yes, it is compatible with Windows 8.1 since it works in my laptop even without installing the supplied software suite. I had to install it for Win XP but win 8 pilots inside to operate the camera. Try it on a different usb port. Remove and uninstall the software from the Control Panel programs and do a system restart. Let the appliance must be installed by windows with it is in built drivers. This would remove any incompatibility between Windows and drivers you have installed.
