Dead for T410s Pixel policy

I called tech support and they told me that I need to have at least 9 dead pixels. But later, when I checked the customer support Web site, he said that I need only 3 dead pixel. here

Currently, my laptop has exactly 3 dead pixels (black color).

Anyone know if Lenovo has changed their policy of dead pixel of 3 to 9 pixels for an Exchange?

Hi cyw0007 and welcome to the Lenovo user community!

Reminder of technical support. Give them the number of the document tech support that you linked to (RAHUL-69856). It is the current policy.

  • Dell U2412M-dead or stuck pixel?

    Hello

I have a pixel smack in the middle of the screen that gives me a headache. :(

It is red against white, black green and normal against all other colors.

I'm not sure it's a dead or stuck pixel. And what are my options to guarantee (bought the monitor 3 weeks from a local retailer)?

    Thank you

Save yourself some frustration guaranteed and return it to the dealer for Exchange or credit.

All white background = red pixel (is that correct?)

    All black =?

  • Fill Winding rule null is used for all pixels on the screen?

    Hello

I wanted to know this questions so I can better understand the operation in general programs Illustrator and vector. Trying to understand how the pathfinder, I learned later the winding fill rule non-zero.

I think I understand that it is used to determine what parts of an object is filled when his path crosses itself or what other objects cross with her. Whenever the number of winding is not 0, it means that he went through something, that makes the number 1 coil. If it crosses this line again in the opposite direction, the winding number gets subtracted once again, so you have 0 again. Fill if the number is different from 0.

But, my question is this. This made only of pixels IN a form, to determine if there is a hole inside... or if it actually makes for every single pixel in your file, whenever you open a file, for each pixel on the screen, it uses the rule fill winding non-zero?

For example, if you make a small circle in the middle of your screen, is each pixel on the screen tested with the winding fill rule nonzero in order to determine whether a pixel is part of the circle?

    Thank you.

    I found it it seems.

    If anoyne wants to know

-Vector programs determines how many pixels on the screen

-It creates shapes with a formula, circle, square, Bézier formulas

for simple objects without intersection he uses limit fills, he chooses a pixel of seeds within the object

It checks the 4 or 8 next to it

She fills until it finds an edge

no simple forms, it checks each pixel on the screen with a number of winding

Way the easiest would be to channel mixer.

Second easy mode of fusion linear density (addition) and a layer of constant value would be.

  • dead stream 7 pixels

I recently got this tablet as a Christmas gift. This tablet has been great, except for the fact that there is a ton of dead pixels on the left side of my screen. I didn't fall or hit the shelf somehow. There are solutions for this or if I should get a replacement? Is it a common problem with the flow of 7? Thanks for your help.

I would return it is store bought for replacement. Store policy determine the duration of an Exchange. If this is the past, the next thing would be a repair under warranty through HP links. are provided at the bottom of each topic in the forums.

  • Satellite U840 - 10 M irregularly dead for a minute

My one year old * U840 - 10 M * on Windows 7 _irregularly stop functioning_ for one or two minutes.

This can happen during regular operation or just after waking up from his sleep.
If it stops really isn't clear, as neither keyboard nor Mouse touchpad react.
CTRL-Alt-Del to check what is happening is not choice.
After a minute of silence deadly activities resume normally.

All the drivers are up to date. Laptop is mainly used for email and surfing, where problem appears when using Chrome or Outlook 2007.

Any suggestion how to prevent this erratic behavior is very much appreciated.
Are also welcome suggestions how to analyze this laptop to know what forces this halt in activity...

Notepad is a year old, but it will be interesting since when did you notice this kind of behavior. Maybe some background activity is blocking your laptop.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. What you can do is to backup all your data and reinstall the OS using recovery media. It will be interesting to know if the same problem happens when the laptop to factory settings.

  • Ultra docking station - for T410s and T450s

Is there a docking station that works with the T410s AND the T450s?

    I'm thinking of it:

Lenovo ThinkPad Dock Ultra 170W (40A20170EU)

who really works with the T450s - but what of the T410s. Y there compatibility down or the interface has been changed over the years?

The new docks are not compatible (with the exception of the docks of the USB).

A reference tool handy to determine compatibility is compatibility Options Lenovo matrix you will find:

If you need a Lenovo docking station abandoned for your T410s, there is a program called Continuation of Options Lenovo program that makes available abandoned docks of Lenovo and any other Options of Lenovo.

  • What hard drive for t410s SSD?

    Hi guys

I want to install a SSD HDD in my T410s: someone has done this before?

    (1) it will make faster?

    (2) what SSD will fit without problem?

    Tom

Yes, it will be faster, but you need to look for 1.8-inch SSD, they are now quite rare and not cheap.

    Look for something like Intel X - 18 m.

Also, you can remove the drive optical and put in an SSD to 2.5 inches in this box if you want to. This can be a cheaper and you will get no speed penalty, as the main hard drive and optical drive Bay use SATAII connection.

  • Contact information for return pixel Imaq image with the mouse click event

    Hello

I'm trying to get the coordinates in pixels of an image Imaq based on a mouse click event, similar to this post and this post. The problem is that with the first post, I get the coordinates in the image control and hesitate to trust them, they seem to have the Center origin, may return negative coordinates and do not represent the actual size of the detector that I use (512 x 512). It also returns the coordinates outside the actual data when it is clicked on the image control framework. The second method returns simply null coordinates. What I want are the coordinates of the pixel displayed when hovering the mouse imaq image control framework.

What baffles me, is that I tried the second method with a png stock file and it works fine, it is only when I create an image from the data of my camera than the coordinates are returned null. Note data views of camera under control of image very well.

Any ideas would be useful. Enclosed is a picture of the offending code and the Panel before displaying the camera data is coming (I know it needs some cleaning).

    Thank you

  • Replacement battery for T410s

    Hello

I am looking for the battery of my T410s. Any who have already used a third party like this replacement battery

    http://CGI.eBay.fr/new-IBM-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T400S-Li-ion-battery-42T4688-42T4689-3-9Ah-44Wh-/32091159...

It has more capacity than the original: 4400mAh vs 3600mAh.

And less expensive: 30 vs 70 euros euros.

Stick with the original. I've heard of many compatibility problems with replacements. I have a lot of faith in the batteries from Lenovo. When I replaced my battery of 6 cells T400, I bought the right replacement of Lenovo. When I bought my T420, I paid for the free 1 battery replacement for my 9-cell from the outset as part of the purchase.

Think of it this way, I know a lot of people who have machines that fail until the battery must be replaced. With a ThinkPad, you may need 2 or 3 batteries before you decide to replace the machine. Go with the OEM Lenovo battery and know that the system will continue to work as expected.

  • Facial recognition technology Optimus for T410 questions - please help

Hi guys, I bought a T410 with NVS 310 graphics card and built-in webcam. Although the battery 9 cells works really well, I always like to save more power using the integrated graphics card Intel in light load. It's supposed to be done using NVIDIA Optimus but I can't ' find it anywhere or how to activate it. Some have said depends on pilots and I did not try that again. Please help for a long time.

The next question is the software of face recognition, as my friend's Asus laptop has Smartlogon using face. I really enjoy doing on my T but I searched a lot of places and can't find it. I knew he had formerly VeriFace which seems to have stopped developing for Thinkpad. If anyone has this software, please give me the link.

And once I found a problem with a device called Lexmark X 422, windows 7 reports that it may not start (code 10), I try the new driver and still no use. I have disable (uninstall) it can restore the entire system and now I can't find it in device manager to try to fix it again. My question is what is this device and how to correct these problems?

    Thank you, T rocks!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

To Optimus, take a look:- http://support.lenovo.com/hk/en/HintsandTips/hints_show_12832190176531.html

Lexmark X 422 was probably your webcam, there is no need to do anything if the machine works fine now.

Not sure on the recognition of faces, as far as I know there not this feature for ThinkPad.

    I hope this helps.

  • Disable keys dead for the United States-International keyboard layout

    Hello!

I have been using the keyboard configuration United International (see 306560 KB) for some time now and there is one thing that I find really annoying: the keys for the ' (APOSTROPHE), "(QUOTATION MARK), '(ACCENT GRAVE), ~ (TILDE) and ^ (CARET) are 'dead' in that provision, which means that they do not produce immediately a character when I press them.»

I use this keyboard to enter German text and I did "dead keys" behavior at all, because all the German special characters (such as umlauts) can be produced by pressing the right ALT (ALTGR) while pressing another key (for example I can produce u pressing ALT GR + y). Dead keys can produce the same thing (for example pressing "follow-up of product u u) but I need them because I can produce them more easily otherwise.

So, that's so boring on the dead keys? They interrupt the 'normal' uses of the ' (APOSTROPHE), "(quotation MARK), key '(ACCENT GRAVE), ~ (TILDE) and ^ (CARET) that you must press SPACE to have actually produce it a character." For example, I have to press on "followed by SPACE to produce the" character, which is really a pain if you use a lot of quote. "."

So my question is this: can I use the keyboard layout United International (see 306560 KB) to type accents, but have the ' (APOSTROPHE), "(quotation MARK), key '(ACCENT GRAVE), ~ (TILDE) and ^ (CARET) behave as in the 'US' keyboard layout, so that they produce their respective characters immediately?"

If I can avoid using software 3 rd - party, it would be great. And I think I saw somewhere that you can actually "change" somehow an existing page layout, but I have not seen anywhere how to do for these dead wicked keys.

    Thank you
    Chris

    Thanks Rohit,

After a lot of reading, download and play with MSKLC, I derived my own layout of the provision of the US Intl without dead keys. If anyone is interested, I have published for download here:
