dead stream 7 pixels

I recently got this tablet as a Christmas gift. This tablet has been great, except for the fact that there is a ton of dead pixels on the left side of my screen. I didn't fall or hit the shelf somehow. There are solutions for this or if I should get a replacement? Is it a common problem with the flow of 7? Thanks for your help.

I would return it is store bought for replacement. Store policy determine the duration of an Exchange. If this is the past, the next thing would be a repair under warranty through HP links. are provided at the bottom of each topic in the forums.

Kind regards

Louis

  • Dell U2412M-dead or stuck pixel?

    Hello

I have a pixel smack in the middle of the screen that gives me a headache. :(

It is red against white, black green and normal against all other colors.

I'm not sure it's a dead or stuck pixel. And what are my options to guarantee (bought the monitor 3 weeks from a local retailer)?

    Thank you

Save yourself some frustration guaranteed and return it to the dealer for Exchange or credit.

All white background = red pixel (is that correct?)

    All black =?

  • Dead for T410s Pixel policy

I called tech support and they told me that I need to have at least 9 dead pixels. But later, when I checked the customer support Web site, he said that I need only 3 dead pixel. here

Currently, my laptop has exactly 3 dead pixels (black color).

Anyone know if Lenovo has changed their policy of dead pixel of 3 to 9 pixels for an Exchange?

Hi cyw0007 and welcome to the Lenovo user community!

  • Dissatisfied (e) with the support of Toshiba due to dead pixel

Poetential beware buyers of Toshiba products. Toshiba offers very little support. All they do is try to weasel out of warranty repairs. After owning 14 computers laptop toshiba, for me and my company, I will never spend another dollar with Toshiba.

I have a custom P750. 10 days after receiving it, the motherboard fried. Instead of offering me a replacement unit, I had to wait several days for a box, mail it to the wide, wait for repairs and wait that they to return. I could not drop off at the local Toshiba repair shop. In fact, I could, but if I did, I would be responsible for the cost of repairs. I've no idea what logic there is for this, but there you go. After this test of three weeks, I finally got my machine.

Fast forward to this weekend. A pixel is grilled on my screen. My warranty is in 2 weeks. So to start the repair process. I'm amazed when the Lady informs me that Toshiba will not fix it. She says "we don't set the screens I have only pixel dead" and "a pixel does not affect the performance of the machine. Well forgive me, but of course it affects me looking at a black dot on my screen 24/7. I ask to speak to a supervisor, she put me on hold, comes back and tells me that she spoke with a "level 2 technician" who informed her that they wouldn't fix a screen with a pixel died. Again, I ask to speak to a supervisor, so she tells me that I will return a call.

An hour later, I get a call back from a "supervisor" who tells me that they will not set a screen with a dead pixel. I'm trying to explain to him, that pixel is the defective screen, and I want to fix under warranty. If I sell this machine, and someone asks me "Is there dead pixels?", I have to say Yes and lose money in the process. He still tells me "we don't set the screens for a pixel dead." While I try to explain which guarantees one is, he cuts me and told me he spoke with someone, and they determined that pixel is the result of physical damage and therefore not covered at all. ?!?!?

    Hi Poman

You know it's not easy to say anything on this subject because you're crazy enough now and I don t know if we discuss your problems on reasonable means.
I understand you and I think that I wouldn't be happy when my dear P500 Satellite had too dead pixel. As you already say it is very annoying to see it 24/7 on the screen.

Anyway, as you probably know support must follow certain rules and it's very sad if you have contacts with eager people. Please don t understand me wrong but perhaps your behavior on the phone was quite aggressive and on the other side people were completely non-professional.

In any case, this dead pixel problem is defined and how it works, you will find on the document from Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9502LZ0000R02.htm

Below, you can find info on the other hand secured claim.

For 10 years I use Toshiba notebooks only and I can't tell how it works with other manufacturers but I n t think Sony or Samsung will give you new notebook due to pixel of a death. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don t think so.

    Bye and good luck

  • Pixel dead or trapped under

Yesterday, I noticed a black pixel on my Z3 compact screen and when I tested the display by service menu, I realized that my green void pixel is not an answer and so the display shows green color black stay. There is no problem with red or blue color.

I don't know if it's a dead or stuck pixel and what do I do with it. Can I use for this?

    Hi @Tough_Guy,

As this also meet you during the screen test, it seems not be a defective pixel.

According to our warranty information (can be found here) two bad pixels are acceptable, but if you want to get this examined more closely, you should get your phone looked to one of our authorized service centers. Get in touch with your team of Local support for more information on how to proceed if need be.

  • 2709W, found 1 sub-pixel dead red after 5 years. :-(

    Dear readers,

As the perfectionist I am later that yesterday, I found 1 dead subpixel red somewhere at the bottom right of the screen. I checked the entire screen when I bought it new on the Dell site. Happy I was and I'm still with the monitor is it still possible to solve this problem? Guaranteed after 5 years should have disappeared, of course, but I'm just not used to happen with screens LCD after years. Usually the pixels continue to work after 24 hours of testing. I remember myself even check my monitor after 2 years of purchase and everything was always very well then.

But yesterday, I really found a dead red sub-pixel, which annoys me because now I continue to watch (it's a habit that most share hehe). Is it possible to solve it yet or should I just live with it?

It's a Dell Ultrasharp 2709W with 1920x1200dpi btw. I think that he is not a serial number, but I buy it through this site 5 years ago. Also in my account that order went as I can check only up to 2 years back...

Thanks if anyone can help me. I use the monitor often nowadays and if there is still a change for me to make me happy again then I gladly hear then! Thanks in advance!

So, essentially, you are implying that there is no guarantee even after 4 years of use, and when all the pixels were infact during this period, that it will not happen again?

I've always heard after a good week of use when it is new, and all the pixels work at this time, that it is an indication, it will stay like this forever? Without no doubt... but it is quite low and sad and then because I'm always extremely careful with my stuff. The screen has not yet moved in the same place since the new condition immaculate so I wonder why this tiny red subpixel little says goodbye... for the rest, that this screen is in a State that it can be sold like new again. No difference to see. Not a scratch or anything else. Too bad because I was hoping it would be good so I can use it for many years without the dead pixels.

So what can we do about it? I expect Dell to fix somehow, even after 5 years only (for evidence they take care care of other people and their good intentions.) I want to always use this screen without any pixel...

  • Small point on top right of the screen.

Recently, I got this phone and have discovered a small dot at the top right of my phone (about 1.5 cm down from the top and 1 cm from the right) and is only a millimetre in diameter. It seems to look as if it was a task of printing/dirt dust/finger, but it won't go away after several cleaning of the screen. In the circumstances of good lighting, you can see a slight impression when the screen is off. Is it a pixel (s) dying (game of) or is it a factory default out of the box?

    Thank you!
    tdotchann

    I didn't sound sincere.

Even with detailed explanations, I'm not sure we could tell you what it is. Perhaps a defect in the glass, LCD screen, substrate, etc.. Perhaps a dead or dying pixel too.

I wouldn't worry so much about what it is - if you are under warranty, and it will disturb you, then you must go back to her. There may be some type of defect and if other phones do not, then just Exchange it.

  • Went from T440s to T410 - happier!

This isn't a question. I just wanted to share my story so that someone could possibly benefit from my experience.

I am a long time user, a fanboy even Lenovo, uses T-series since when it was IBM. Having to work with a 220 X and a MacBook Air 13 "at home I thought take the plunge and buy the T440s when it was released last year (2013).

    Said and done.

Already from the go, upon receiving it I could tell that it was not good. The keyboard has been bad, the worst news of trackpad and the screen was bleeding + I thought I could handle a resolution of 1920 x 1080, but I couldn't. Resolution gaffe is mine and not anyone else's fault. There was also (is still) problems with wifi connection - drop every hour approximately. Incredibly bad.

Also, an intangible, but still, the quality of construction, the sensation if you want, is really off. I just expect more from Lenovo. Also the feeling 'pioneer' to own a computer, which is very scalable and easy to manage if you have a problem like dead or defective pixels keys on your keyboard, is now missing.

So what I did? Well, I thought to what Lenovo I last enjoyed toally without a "Yes, I like it but..." ", and it's the T410. So I ordered a refurbished 1440 x 900 (Yes, 16:10 rules!) and he got to 1/5th of the price of my T440s and I'm totally in love. That's what a computer must feel.

So, if you are about to buy a new Lenovo. Think again. Go to a dealer serious refurb and you get a T410. I guess T420 works OK, but I'm not a fan of 16:9. Stay away T430 and T440. I guess if you can stomach the T430 keyboard you have to even less the trackpad WITH the keys. Without them, as is the case on all new useful lenovos of your time, you're really lost.

I hope this helps someone choosing their system.

    Sincerely,

    Jeremy

PS. You may ask what I did with the T440s? Keep it docked, use with screen, mouse and keyboard like a desktop computer. Works well.

I probably try and sell the T440s, although it has value and put it in more T410 "machines" or an actual office.

  • a pink vertical line appeared on my screen

A thin pink vertical line appeared on my screen. How can I get rid of him. I tried the obvious bases.

You probably have a line of dead or stuck pixels on your LCD screen. There are programs that carry out the display of this bike through various display models and some people recommend massaging where the pixel stuck watch manually.

Video exercise programs show some real promise, but I'm not sure a lot of the other supposed fixed. Personally, I think that many of these patches are as a cure for sneezing that they are no longer for the laugh of the person who provided the remedy in the interest of the person in arrears by sneezing. In addition, if the pixel has become unstuck, you can always ask success.

Use Bing or Google to find dead pixel and you will get a multitude of solutions thrown your way. Exercise video display may be worth trying.

  • Glimmer of hope ThinkPad Edge 13 LCD

    Hello world

I just got my ThinkPad Edge 13 Friday and am really pleased with the look, the feel and performance. However, it is a small (maybe 5 x 5 pixels) light spot on the LCD screen, on the left side in the middle. Just to be clear: it is not a dead or stuck pixel, but a brighter patch.

This type of damage is caused by applying pressure on the back or the front of the screen, or it may be a manufacturing defect (which is probably the case here since this is a brand new laptop). I checked if it's maybe caused by a raised keyboard, but this probably isn't the case because it seems that everything is installed perfectly.

I was wondering if I can get the laptop / screen LCD replaced and if I need to contact the reseller or Lenovo (I'm located in the Netherlands)?

I want office dealers today and replaced the laptop. No problem at all.

  • Why VideoTexture displays the flow of my camera and flv as partially transparent?

When you use VideoTexture my camera stream and flv is rendered partially transparent. This problem is intermittent. When you use a c920 camera Logitech the VideoTexture seems to be rendered all the pixels, as expected. But with a camera Axis P12, the pixels are always transparent (on Windows 8). When you use .flv Server RTMP streams, decoded pixels are sometimes rendered transparent, other times completely opaque. This behavior is also interesting when one iOS 8 and iPhone 6 into account. If I play a stream flv on Windows and it is partially transparent. But then to deploy the same code on iPhone 6, the flv stream makes it totally opaque, as expected.

VideoTexture engineering team is already aware of this?

Is really focus Adobe on 'Vidéo Premium' and Gaming or Stage3D? If the video is supposed to be a focal point, why we can not get some attention to the video as this bug? The sample application does not crash. I tried the version annexed, but also using the last AIR 19 SDK and unfortunately still no video appropriate using VideoTexture on iOS.

  • Dead Pixel 6s iPhone 16GB

I got my iPhone at the end of May.

I had to restore my iPhone and connect it to another computer, because when I tried to transfer my music to a new laptop, he stated that it could not be established with two different iTunes.

After putting my iPhone in about a week, he now has a pixel on the screen it is on the upper left side, but kind of more in the Middle, not under the name of carrier. There is also a blackish research brand. I don't know if it is also a pixel or something else.

It is not on a screen protector I've ever had a still.

On any page of safari or white page on the iPhone, it is clear and hard to miss the black mark and if you look carefully at the tiny pixel.

I have never dropped my phone and kept in excellent condition.

Apple will replace my iPhone? I have the Apple Care 1 year warranty.

The iPhone was bought directly from online from Apple for $1006 site, I didn't buy Apple Care +.

Will Apple Replace this screen for a price of replacing it for free?

    Thank you

Dead pixels are covered by the warranty. Take your phone to an Apple Store and they will test it. I had an iPad replaced for free as collateral because of dead pixels.

  • Large cluster of pixels dead/stuck 50 + at least

So yesterday, after work, I put my macbook pro 2014 to sleep after work and went to a party when I got home there was a large number of tiny stuck/dead pixel on the lower middle section of the screen. I'm afraid that no one here can help you.

You don't talk to Apple here - it is a community of support based on the user.

Instead, you will need to contact the Apple Support for the Brazil:
