dead mouse?

Driven by my mouse magic to change the batteries, I did, but it does now. I tried two sets of new batteries, which are very good, I checked into a flashlight. Bluetooth is on and working, if this isn't the problem.

My mouse is dead? If so, does that mean? Can it be fixed? Or should I just get a new one? My mouse is a few years old and is paired with my iMac running OS 10.6.8 hasn't been a problem so far. Would appreciate an explanation in easy to understand language. Thank you very much.

When you return to the mouse you have the green light, a flickering light or no light at all?

  • How can I disable the mouse pad? I prefer to use a mouse.

The cushion is a nuisance especially when I try to type, perhps I catch it with my wrists, I don't know. I prefer to use a mouse.

The 'quick and dirty' would be to cover the trackpad with something thick enough no pickup "taps" or "gestures". A card cut to tight should be thick enough, but I use a three thicknesses of sheet glued together and cut to tight in the trackpad to open (a corner cut so I can remove it when I have to use the trackpad). I did back in 2008 with an Acer laptop and now do it with my Asus EeePC 900 netbook; If I don't have the mouse with me (or the battery is dead - mouse USB wireless) I just remove the "cap" cardboard if I can use the trackpad.

In addition, check with a Windows 7 support forum to find out how to disable this "device". This isn't really a problem of Firefox support.

  • Dead zone wheel 3000 Microsoft wireless mouse

    Hello

I don't know how find this problem on the internet so I wonder if anyone can help make me the right words to look for this problem.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate x 64 and a 3000 Microsoft wireless mouse

When I scroll with the wheel, if I go down and upward, there is a dead zone where nothing happens.  I rotate part 2 wheel lines, and on the other to scroll.

For example if I scroll in IE, everything is fine until I have stop and reverse the first line and then nothing happens, no scrolling at all and when I'm in the second row, it starts to scroll the means that if I scroll and down just 1 line nothing happens and that means on both sides , which means only 2 lines of scrolling that does nothing.

I checked all the configurations of driver for the mouse, and there is nothing about it.  I don't want this dead on the mouse wheel zone

I would really appreciate links, ideas on this subject.  I don't know if it's a driver problem, a hardware problem or it's just the way the mouse works.

  • Why my keyboard and mouse are dead at the start of Windows 7 Home Premium?

They partially dead through boot but usuallycome back on except when first starting the morning.  After using the power button / stop and wait a few minutes, they come back OK on the next boot.  Work due to certain programs at startup?

Your device drivers are up to date? Check the website of your PC or your mother maufacture support.

If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.

  • 3000 keyboard and mouse wireless mouse is dead

I have replaced the batteries, restarted the computer, but the part of my desktop computer 3000 game laser wireless mouse does not work. There is no "reset" button and I can not find help - the option is not on the support page of the Web site, Windows 8, but the store who sold me (Office Depot) all said that it would work with Windows 8 and it worked fine until the battery went low (red light come on) , and then he just died.

Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly. In some of the more recent mouse Microsoft, batteries are inserted - end first. Check the inside of the mouse to guide correctly.

OK, when you checked the batteries, has light green? If you get no light, the mouse is most likely broken.

If the green light and the laser is blue or red display, it should work. If not, check the location of the transmitter. I have mine attached to a USB extension cable that is located on the desktop.

If you can't make it work, and if he will bring back the store, see here...

  • The element most left in a blog has no response to the mouse click.

In this blog, hantudunia.blogspot.com, I tried to click on an item in the tab "Histeria" more to the left, but no finger pointer appear, but adjacent element on the right is interactive. When I used Internet Explorer, all items are clickable. Is this Firefox problem?

Hmm... I noticed if I moved the mouse slowly along the bar there were alive and dead spots on the left side of the menu. To see what was there, I clicked the dead spot and chose inspect element (Q) in the menu.

It turns out be a widget for Google advertising, which seems to have fixed the post, so depending on the size of your window and the zoom level, it may hang something different. (Screenshot see attached).

Traditionally, Internet Explorer allows you to click through a transparent element, which could explain why this isn't a problem in Internet Explorer.

As a temporary workaround, you can use the zoom (Ctrl + and Ctrl-) to move the items from the unclickable area. To attack more permanent, you can use either:

  • NB100 dead Fn key - how to access applets?

My son reported NB100 of family from a trip to India with keyboard damage (water damage, apparently).

Most of the dead (bit) keys, I can re - assign or work around, but the blue "Fn" key (below, second row left between Ctrl and the key Win) is difficult.

My first thought: how different "applets", controlled by the Fn key (esp. + F9/F10 for the brightness of the screen!) be run from the command line? It must be possible, but even if I see a lot of Tosh .dll files in WINDOWS/system32/Tos*.dll, I don't know if it's them, or how to operate if it is.

If he has any other suggestions, I'd be happy to hear. It's quite frustrating to have (apparently) one way to access these applications for assistance under Fn control, so I hope that there is a "back door".

    Thank you!

Try this: open start > all programs > Toshiba > tools and utilities > settings Flash cards.
The first option, there let the mouse do the maps. Activate it and move the mouse to the top of the screen. When the flash cards are displayed, you can use it on everything like using the FN key.

Even if it s really painful to get everything installed it again, I would recommend to recover the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

    > Could I have really damaged the MB. ??
Well, it's hard to say before trying the recovery procedure.
If the USB ports are not working after using the recovery disk (or HDD recovery), then of course: the mobo may be affected, therefore, in my view, the laptop must be set to the factory settings.

  • Satellite X 205-SLi3 - black screen with the mobile mouse at startup

I have a computer laptop X 205 - Sli 3 satellite, which is a little more than a month and running windows Vista. (let me know if the exact specifications make a difference)

Yesterday morning my laptop was working fine, I arrested him at home because I need to take to work with me to get some files there. However, when I tried to turn it back on all I got was a black screen with cursor mouse mobile white dead center. I saw other posts with similar problems, but no solutions.

Loads everything up as normal at the beginning: I get the Toshiba load screen (this allows me to make changes to the boot from there with F2, F8, F12 or, but none seems to have no effect) and I get the little green loading bar of Microsoft just before the screen blinks a few times and then turns black except for the white mouse. The touchpad, Capslock and scroll lock keys * are * admissible, but the function keys and Ctrl + Alt + Delete to do * not * work. There is no way to stop the laptop at this point without maintaining the power button.

I tried to start in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, only to get exactly the same result after Windows loading bar. (only a lower resolution on this beautiful Virgin high-def screen mouse cursor). I activated the boot record, nothing, I tried to start with the "last known good configuration", nothing.

I tried windows repair options: repair system, System Restore (it * was * a windows update just before restore point in my laptop screwed up and I m wondering if that has something to do with it because it was the first time the computer was turned off since the auto update installed... but get an older restore point does not help) , as well as the windows memory diagnostic tool. Everything is displayed normally but still black screen after the loading bar Microsoft...

I also tried the debug mode, and directory services restore mode just for the heck of it - each time the black screen of death.

I even put in the Toshiba recovery disc and put my laptop to boot from the CD rather than the HD (it gives me the same options by pressing F8 and go to repair are starting only I didn't have to put my admin password)

The only thing I can think that I n t done is format my whole hard drive, I know that this is not always a solution, and I prefer to keep all my school and work files if possible. Fortunately I am able to get into the command prompt BACK and some of the most important things am copy on a USB key, but I'll still probably lose all my programs and larger files.

    Someone had a similar problem?
If so, what was the solution?
I would call all technical support, but I won't have time until after the new year to spend on the phone and I have a feeling that their solution will be to format and use the recovery disc.

Man, such an expensive machine and then all this work of wouldn because of some software sh... So, if you have backed up your most important files, then, I would _recommend_ you to recover your machine. Won´t solve you anything just trying to find the error, believe me, you'll go nuts.

  • Satellite A300 - pad touch dead after update BIOS 2.20

    Hello

exact model is Satellite A300 PSAGCA-06M01N under Win XP.

I had a problem with the webcam, and I read in the forum that it can be solved by a BIOS update. so, I advanced and downloaded the latest version of the BIOS on the site of toshiba, especially for my laptop model. It went quite well with no error.

However when the computer restarts after that the BIOS updated my touchpad no longer works.
I went to Device Manager and could still see the Synaptics touchpad device and it says "this device is functioning correctly. but its completely dead and will not respond with the 2 keys. before I updated the BIOS I never had any problems with it.

I tried FN + F9, nothing helps. plugged in a USB mouse and it works without any problem. In fact, when I plugged in the mouse the synaptics software says "Deactivation of the key because of the external pointing device" for the device driver for the touchpad works.

If I remove the mouse, it will say the touchpad is restored, but it still doesn't work. restarted several times and still the same problem. went into BIOS and chose "default" not still a no go.

Can someone offer any advice or ideas please?
I really need the touchpad for the way I use the laptop...

    Hello

In many cases, the touchpad (pointing device) can be enabled and disabled in the BIOS.
I think you should check if this option is available in BIOS and if so, check whether it should be enabled.

  • Satellite U840 - 10 M irregularly dead for a minute

My one year old * U840 - 10 M * on Windows 7 _irregularly stop functioning_ for one or two minutes.

This can happen during regular operation or just after waking up from his sleep.
If it stops really isn't clear, as neither keyboard nor Mouse touchpad react.
CTRL-Alt-Del to check what is happening is not choice.
After a minute of silence deadly activities resume normally.

All the drivers are up to date. Laptop is mainly used for email and surfing, where problem appears when using Chrome or Outlook 2007.

Any suggestion how to prevent this erratic behavior is very much appreciated.
Are also welcome suggestions how to analyze this laptop to know what forces this halt in activity...

Notepad is a year old, but it will be interesting since when did you notice this kind of behavior. Maybe some background activity is blocking your laptop.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. What you can do is to backup all your data and reinstall the OS using recovery media. It will be interesting to know if the same problem happens when the laptop to factory settings.

  • Mouse and keyboard no longer work after fixing drive dvd - Satellite A100-147

My DVD Player wasn't working, so I fixed it with the help of some advice from a forum: go to regedit to remove the 'previous' and 'high' or something, I have a catalog specified.

But then the keyboard and the touchpad is dead in Windows. Nor can I use an external keyboard and mouse.

I tried to start it in safe mode and with the last settings that worked. None succeeded. Apart from the fact that the keyboard actually works to make choices, therefore, a question Ms.

    Boot safe mode.
Go to control panel-> Add/Remove Programs control
Uninstall all software Mouse/touchpad/keyboard/logitech that can be installed
    Go to Device Manager
go to view - > click on 'show hidden devices '.
Delete all devices under "mice and other pointing devices" and "keyboards".
    Reset.
XP should detect the mouse and keyboard and install the drivers.
