Dead power supply HP Pavilion Slimline of s3750t

Dead bought a HP Paviliton Slimline s3750t in February - feeding six weeks later. No lights, no fan, nothing. Spent an hour in line with the HP chat support, who promised to send a replacement within 3-4 business days. Nothing happened, so now I'm on the phone with HP support who spent 20 minutes until now trying to see if there is any record. What is your experience with HP support and the quality of this product. So far, I'm very underwhelmed.

Slimline = BBQ hot box.  Heat is the number one killer of electronics (you don't raise the voltage on board HP).  I saw a certain PSU dead in this forum.  Replacement of power supply cannot last very long if subjected to the same environment.  It's too late to return the PC to get a refund, but you can always migrate electronics to a bigger case and with better ventilation (Antec 300).  The largest case will also allow you to use a more powerful/silent power.  The power supply is around $30 - $40 after rebate.

  • Upgrade power supply s5510f Pavilion

I was wondering if there are any available for the Pavilion s5510f POWER supply upgrade.  He is currently leading an installed OEM 220 watt and I was looking to go to a 300 or 350 watts, if it does not fit in the case.  I know Compaq with he exact same narrated 5/6GL Board I have uses a 300 Watt.  I need to upgrade my graphics, like the nvidia 6150se just isn't cutting it.  I know that I can not any expansion on the power supply and 350 may be pushing; as I gave about tech HP apoplexy when I told him I wanted to switch the MOBO to a new case and go the one block of 450 Watt power SUPPLY.  He said that I have burn the Board upward.  I had never heard of the front, as same Pegatron shows the jury capable of using a 750 watt with her.  Hope you can help.

Reaction of the tech was a little over the top. A motherboard follows the same laws of electronics that apply to all other electric/electric devices. A motherboard will draw only as much current as it needs a power supply. It consumed the jury unless there is a circuit on the motherboard or a device that a failed.and draws too much current.

You may move it to a larger case. Slimline PC power supply upgrades have restraint of the size and configuration on them that standard PC speakers do not have.

  • Pavilian A4313W: Power supply for Pavilion A4313W

Get technical support for my mother. She got an A4313W of Pavilion, which has a default power inside. Which is a specific power supply, or a work of a generic cannot in this system?

If it's specific, can someone give me the part number for it?

HERE IS a GENERAL GUIDE for this model of PC.  It seems to be a standard power source, so you can replace it with a generally available device rather than ordering a unit # part.  Don't forget to check the dimensions, however.  Also, IMHO get a higher power than listed unit is only 250w.  I would get at least a 400w unit and they are reasonably priced, too.

  • Pavilion a6130n: power supply for Pavilion a6130n

I'm looking to upgrade to be able to provide on my Pavilion a6130n and don't really know what to look for.  It seems that everything I watch is for SATA installation.  My system is not SATA.  So, what should I look for? Some model numbers may be useful.

    Thank you

    Hello @TLT2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking to upgrade your power supply.  I'll be happy to help you with this!

Based on your motherboard card, your office has the following internal connectors for power supply:

    • A power supply ATX 24-pin
  • Power supply for Pavilion 720 a and a GeForce 6200 video card

I bought for a GeForce 6200 card video from Amazon. Only when it happened is because he said that it takes 300 watts or more PSU. My 720 a Pavilion has a HIPRO HP-D2537F3R power supply nominal maximum of 250W.

    My questions are:

-Does really need 300W or she would work on 250W without burning down the House!

-If I had to put in level how do you know which suit the PSU? Can you recommend an and a provider. I saw the useful video on the replacement of the PSU. It seems simple enough.

    Thank you

    Tim

6200 is a GPU very low power.  It will work fine with the stock power SUPPLY HP block.

I need to replace the power supply on my Pavilion a1230n.

Food will sit just above the case without space above it. So I need to have a power supply either a front opening, or an opening on the bottom.

  • Power supply for Pavilion a6720f?

Hello. Is power supply for an a6720f a standard ATX, or something exclusive? I need to know.

    Thank you.

This is a standard size ATX PSU - 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "but confirm this by opening your PC and by measuring the PSU.  Go back to the bottom of all the cables coming from the PSU for the endpoints so that you know which links are necessary.

  • 15-p151nr Pavilion: Pavilion 15-p151nr dead, power supply LED flashes 3 times but does not start

With or without the adapter is connected to the computer (well known socket), the computer will not turn on.  The LED located on the left side of the computer where the socket is attached blinks 3 times (white), but does not supply power to the top.  Another post I saw said "continuous" flashing would be the power adapter, but wanted to ensure that it is in fact the problem before buying a new...  Any help would be great!

  • Pavilion dv7-6135dx: power supply for Pavilion dv series

I have a pavilion laptop dv7 is about 2-1/2 years. I just had to replace after it does not charge while plugged in the battery. I always ran my laptop plugged in and just developed this problem about 5 weeks ago. I received the spare cord recall. Now with the new battery installed, it still will not charge so that hip upward and running. I called the Geek Squad at Best Buy, which has replaced the battery. They said to turn off the unit and allow it to charge for 8 hours. Then the battery charged. So now, I'll have to turn off the laptop at all times to keep the battery charged. It will take a full load of 6-1/2 hours. I think that the power adapter is going or gone bad. It happened to someone else out there? Should I order a new adapter or just to treat the problem and turn off the laptop for the battery to charge?

I ended up having to replace the battery because it was defective. The motherboard was not the problem.  But in the long run, it was actually the adapter that has gone wrong and killed the battery cells. I bought a smart adapter HP at Best Buy, plugged in, turned on the laptop and Yes, it started to load the runtime so solve my problem. I had no idea that the AC adapter might go bad after just 2-1/2 years, but he did. Hope this ends up helping someone else.

  • HP Pavilion 550-177c Desktop: power supply HP Pavilion 550-177c desktop PC

Hello. Bought HP Pavilion 550-177c Desktop and wanted to ask if it is compatible with the European power outlets? Thank you.

    Hello

Yes, in the USA, they use 110V.

    • Almost all mobile devices (laptops, phones, tablets) can use the power of 110V to 240V automatically but
    • Not for desktop computers this is why we need to check. Plenty of feed for desktop computers can work from 110V to 240V, BUT we have to switch manually .

    Kind regards.

  • Can I put the Pavilion Slimline 180 Watt power supply to a 300 Watt PSU

    Of course, you can!

Here is an informational videoabout the possibilities of upgrading your slimline WHAT PSU found on YouTube.  A comparison of three power supplies, including the owner HP PSU and a (two video and CPU) stress test and comparison of noise is shown during the video.

Be aware that some, but not all, of the PSU, upgrades require a simple and light your PSU slimline support change. Change depends on the power supply model chosen for the upgrade.

Purchase an adaptor molex as HP UPE is necessary for the Slimlines using a power supply with the format owners microfit ATX 24 pin, as well as the standard for the HTPC power supply ATX 20 pin format.

Upgrade your power supply at a higher power will not damage your motherboard. A power supply will provide only so much power that is required of him by the mother and peripheral card up to the nominal power of the installed PSU.

It is for those who wondered how to work around the limitation of the low power 180 Watt power supply that most Pavilion Slimline PCs come with the Assembly. With a power SUPPLY improved, more memory and a graphics card discrete, including support (it is a requirement) your Slimline can be your gaming PC.

Selecting a graphics card is another topic. Not all graphics cards can hold in the case of a slimline. It takes a low profile video card. They are available for purchase online.

  • Power HP Pavilion Slimline s3000 supply problems

Hey!  The power supply on my Hp Pavilion Slimline s3000 seems to be corrupted.  The green light in the back, but nothing moves or uo beyond that light sources.  I opened the computer and when I listen carefully when I press the power button a few noises come from the lower end of the power supply near the fan.  When I searched these forums said that a cap may be broken, but I have not seen those that may be broken.  If I want to move my 160 Watt power higher, what should I do? If I went to a 200 or 225 watts then I should add something?  and it is possible that the power supply is not broken and miss me something?

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1200z improvement of power supply

    Hello

I need to replace a power supply broken for the HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1200z Office I bought in June 2012. As I improved the memory of 8 GB 3 months ago, I would like to take this opportunity to improve to 400w 300w 220w power, if possible.

Unfortunately, I can't find any power supply suitable for the Pavilion Slimline s5 series, in-store or online. The only one I can find is the replacement of the part #633195-001 of HP on HP website. Any recommendations?

It is sold on eBay, and says it's an upgrade of 330w PSU for your model:

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3710t, it runs Vista Home Premium (32 bit).  Power is out on this subject a few months when I moved.  It worked fine the day we moved in, just before I had to stop it and unplugging everything.  Come to our new home and went to hang on to the top and NOTHING.  Taken to be extracted and discovered that food was shot, the guy he has connected to a * test * PSU and it came right on.  He told me that I would need a new and that because my computer is a Slimline I must get a * special * power supply.  I took mine to my computer and did a search and it was not very useful because I can not find the SAME block power, but at the same time, all the power supply that are * recommended * because my computer don't LIST my computer as they work with.   I need a new PSU and I have NO idea what kind I need / can use.  I need one that will run my computer and my games pretty well, but I don't have the money to buy an EXPENSIVE one.
