Deauthorize Photoshop Elements after that my computer has been sold
I recently bought a new iMac and all my data and software migrated to my new iMac. I then wiped the old hard drive from the computer and he gave. Unfortunately I have not remove Photoshop Elements first. Now when I try to open the PSE on my new iMac it tells me I've already exhausted my allotted two facilities. I called the Adobe help line and told me that they could fix it but I have to pay $150 to do. I refuse to do. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you
You must contact activation support, not regular customer:
They are the only people who can reset your activations for you and there is no charge. Just keep on working your way through the screens until you can start a chat session.
BTW, if you have tried to migrate PES from your old computer, you have even more difficulties. You will need to do a tedious manual removal in this case. Please let us know if this is your case. You can never, never, never migrate an installed copy of PES. It is not a package tidy like most mac applications and for sure you are missing pieces you need. You should always install from scratch on a new machine.

I'm trying to reinstall Dreamweaver CS5 upgrade after that my HDD has been reinstalled. I get an error message that there is nothing on my computer to upgrade. Can anyone help? It seems impossible to begin a conversation with Adobe support.
dw cs5 serial number is a version of upgrade (precedent). After you have entered your serial number you can select the previous version (in a drop-down list), and then enter the serial number of the previous version.
Enter the version that is appropriate at the right time and proceed with the installation.

original title: telephone call from Windows?Hello
It's a scam.
Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.
There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one
Read this Information from Microsoft:
"Avoid scams to phone for tech support.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx
Don't be fooled of unsolicited calls. Don't provide personal information.
Here are some of the organizations that cyber criminals claim to come:
Helpdesk Windows
Windows repair center
Microsoft technical support
Microsoft technical support
Windows Support Group Technical Department
Microsoft Research and Development Team (team of Microsoft R & D)
Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.
We have all the errors and warnings in our Event Viewer
That's what you do if you never give them remote access.
If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.
If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.
And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.
See you soon.

* O.T. > phone call
I received a phone call today (a third) saying that my computer has been hacked and that they need to get into my system to make the necessary repairs. They have stated that they are from Microsoft but I didn't honestly believe that. Has anyone else had these calls?
Thousands have and you have reason to be wary.

The call was clearly from abroad and had a bad connection.
I received a call Thursday last of someone who said they were by the Windows team and that my computer has been altered. The call was clearly from abroad and had a bad connection. Basically, they wanted to sell me something for $99. Is it a scam? Called again today and they make me nervous because I don't know that much about computers.
Fake phone calls to technical support
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

(1) the fonts in question are installed on your system and
(2) the police themselves is not protected against the incorporation (they can at least see and print incorporation.

Hello
I'm deploying an application Labview 2011 on 150 XP machines in various plants worldwide. Currently, all the machines still have an old 8.21 Labview runtime (+ old DAQmx). I sent a procedure to my colleagues in the plants so that they fit the new runtime environment (+ new DAQmx). For my part, I built a code to check my PC if a certain registry key is present on the PC 150 who told me that the new run installer or not.
The key I found is:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\1C5E801AE54C4AE43A59FC169F95CA28]
"ProductName"="NOR-DAQmx Configuration 9.3.5 Support MAX"
"PackageCode"="61EEAEC207A28A842B3341ED6809453D."
'Language' = dword:00000009
"Version" = dword:0923 c 001
"Transfer" = DWORD: 00000001
"AdvertiseFlags" = dword:00000184
"InstanceType" = DWORD: 00000000
"AuthorizedLUAApp" = DWORD: 00000000
"Clients" = hex (7): 3A, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00It works well but it does not say that the PC has restarted after the Setup has been run. If I do not have to restart the PC and try to run my Labview 2011 executable I get a long error message (NIDAQmx not registered,...).
As it seems difficult to get the properties of a key to know when it was installed I was leaning rather to check whether or not a certain DLL (?) was recorded. But it's just a vague idea, and I don't know how to set it up.
I enclose the code that I have and that works well, but cannot differentiate between Labview 2011 installed runtime and PC restarted or not.
Thanks for the help
Christophe
You could look for a file that would be created as part of the installation to determine date/time Setup (ini or another file created as part of the runtime support installed)
Combine that with a request of availability of the station and you can calculate if the station was longer than the time since the installation. Not perfect, but should be possible...

When I connect to Windows 7 after my laptop has been asleep, the Welcome screen will block for always (10 + minutes). It does not every time, but maybe once all 5 or 6 times and it's happened lately. I can just shut the computer off and the newspaper with no problem after starting it upward, but I'm afraid, there may come a time where it does not work.
I had this problem since I got my computer 2 months ago so I don't think it's related to what I have installed. Has anyone else encountered this problem and has found a way to fix it? Is this a common bug in all of Windows 7?
