Debug with FlashBuilder 4.5 and Playbook simulator mode

I use falshBuilder 4.5 and the last Playbook Simulator (July 2011).

I am able to run the application on the Simulator. However, when I use the Debug mode, I get error on the Simulator as well as on the FlashBuilder. On the playibook Simulator, it says unable to connect.

I use the IP address of the Simulator (like RUN works very well). Also I use debug by default IP configuration of the host defined in the Debug configuration.

Has anyone faced similar problem. Something else must be set for this?

Thank you.

Hi all

Finally I got it to work. I was using the wrong host debug after changing IP right it started working.

Also note approach default host IP and debug also did not work. This is FYI.

Thank you.

Veristand supports simulation of co with target RT (pxi) and simulink MDL... If he is well wanted to share me partners implementation document

(Note: we have already implemented .dll depending on model)

Only the PC engine can do directly co-simulation with Simulink. You cannot use a MDL file directly on a target of RT. This type of co-simulation is certainly not in real time and is not suitable to run on an RT target that performs other urgent tasks. You can have multiple targets in your system definition, then you might have an RT target and a target PC. But you need means of communication between the two target types. Which may include a model or a custom device.

  • Web Inspector does not not with Blackberry OS 7 and Chrome Simulator

I found a resolution to this problem, at least for the moment - I downloaded and installed a different Simulator (Bold 9900 OS 7.1.0.523).  Previously, I was using the simulator that is included as part of the installation of SDK WebWorks 2.3.1.5.  The Web Inspector feature is now available, for the most part.  I found a deviation from the documentation that I have been following (http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/enabling_webinsp_microsite_1987478_11.html), which tells the user to click on the "Sources" icon to start debugging.  In my case, this is the icon of "Scripts" instead. When you click on this icon to the user has the choice to turn on debugging only for this session or always.  Choose 'always' active debugger, at least in my case.

  • How buggy is the Playbook Simulator?

It seems most of the things I write are causing problems with the Playbook Simulator.

I tend to write most of the content of the page HTML from JQuery

The simplest things can cause the Simulator to die

    An example...

If (Debug) $("#debuglog").append ("attempt to display " "+ sp +")
    ");

Here, I'm just writing for a div called debuglog so I can see what is happening - sp is a page that I just shot locally via Ajax - must write errors, it's the only way to debug a page.

Answer to myself for the benefit of third parties

Buried in the forums, you will find a thread on the Playbook having problems with JQuery 1.5.1

The solution is simple - downgrade to 1.5.0 or 1.5.2 upgrade when it comes out

It took me a week to find out what was wrong. All my applications now work simply by changing to 1.5.0

While the browsers work very well with 1.5.1 the Playbook Simulator is not

  • PlayBook simulator debug host ip

    Hello

When you set up the configuration of flash builder debugging, you must specify your ip address of computers to the ip address of host debug debugging in the playbook Simulator to work.

However, if you are on a local wireless connection, the connection is dropped and re-assigned or even when you reboot, you should check this newly assigned ip address and to update the debug ip address.

is there a way to get around this? It should be possible to simply specify the localhost ip address and do this work without internet connection?

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

I know how you feel. I hate it when you hit debug only to know your address IP changed. This is the worst. Unfortunately, if you are on a type of DHCP server router you have to change your IP address in the debugger, whenever your IP address changes. the solution is to give you a static router if possible IP and 'reserve' it that way, it never changes.

the other solution is to change your network settings in VMware to "host only (private network)." This will create a network between your computer and the Simulator. using this approach will keep your host Ip of the same everyime u restart your computer or the Simulator. works 100% of the time. However, the disadvantage is that you will not have an active internet connection for the Simulator, and it will not have access to the internet. There are software and those available to create a "tunnel" to work around this problem, but im not aware of anything. so if you do not need a net conection for your application, I say take this approach. hope that helps. Good luck!

  • Debugging on Playbook Simulator

    Hello

I use the last PlayBook Simulator (for Mac), VMWare Fusion 4.1, 3.7, Java 1.6 Eclipse, latest BlackBerry Plugins for Android development in Eclipse and all on OS X Lion 10.7.3.

Now: whenever I try to launch my application on the Simulator, Eclipse shows me:

    [Problem Occured]
'Launching MyAPP' has encountered a problem.
    null

Anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem or at least where to get more information?

    ~ Chris

OK, the problem was: Eclipse was running under Java 1.6, although the system "by default" JRE was 1.7.

To change the default JRE on a Mac, open the 'Java preferences' (for example via spotlight).

I try to turn on remote debugging with Apex and SQL Developer.

I checked that the procedure is called Apex process as I can see 'things' happening in the procedure but the debugger does not stop at breakpoints. The program being debugged (session Apex) manages to fix the SQL Developer debug listener.

    Hello

Sorry... seems I was too hasty in reading your question...

You also gave * DEBUG ON [Parsingschema]. [procediurename] * APEX_PUBLIC_USER (or ANONYMOUS or HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER). Otherwise, the behavior is exactly the same as you have described...

The privilege of the DEBUGGING SESSION to CONNECT need to given to the schema analysis but the APEX_PUBLIC_USER schema needs debug privilege on the function or procedure...

    Does that help?

  • Problem adding Playbook Simulator to Eclipse

Last night, I downloaded VMWare and the current version of the Playbook Simulator.  The Simulator works very well and I went into the settings and enabled debugging and confirmed the IP address in the security settings.  I also install the password.  My problem is when I go into Eclipse to add the Simulator.  I tried to make debugging and preferences.  I first tried the automatic detection, but he was unable to find it.  I then he entered manually with the IP address and the password, but it does not work as well.  I tried with both the Simulator runs also with stop you it, and same result.  Also, I tried to ping the ip address from a command prompt so that the Simulator was running and failed.  Thinking it could be a firewall issue, temporarily, I disabled my firewall and antivirus but get the same result.  I also tried a reboot of my PC with no luck.  I'm out of ideas and would welcome any advice I can get.

    Thank you!

I realized what the problem was.  We won't have the IP address in the settings menu.  On the home screen there is an icon that you can click on that will tell you it's in development mode and it will give you the real IP address.  Hope this helps someone else who had the same problem.

Yes.  Currently the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator can be used only to test custom air applications.

  • The difficulty to launch android applications reconditioned on device PlayBook (Simulator OK)

Just updated my android app and it passed verification.  I will install on my PlayBook, and it won't start.

The application works on the new 2.0 PlayBook Simulator very well, but when I go to install on the current device, it installs, but will not start.

I tried without success (all these I tried both USB and WiFi connection) the following:

    • Restart the PlayBook after the 2.0 update (several times)
    • Signature of the bar and the deployment using command-line tools
    • Do not sign the bar and deployment via command line tools (after configuring Debug token)
    • Deployment by using the new eclipse plugin - is to expire, I have even increased the time-out value of 60 seconds and much more), it gets stuck on "Launch BlackBerry Android Runtime."... ", then a message that says" failed to connect ├a 192.168.1.139 to BAD! »

Also, I'm under Mac OSX Lion and v2.0.0.3778 PlayBook.

Anyone else having any of these issues or having luck getting your reconditioned apps to run on the real device?

  • PlayBook Simulator does not start in vmware.

I had just installed sdk playbook and Simulator on windows 7 and configure the Simulator on vmware.

But the playbook Simulator does not start on vmware... He simply display the splash screen...

Do you have another computer to try out it?

For example, in my case, I have 3 PC. Two of them the Simulator installed and worked well, the third, no matter what I do I can't get the Simulator to go beyond the start screen.

I even took a suspended version of the Simulator everywhere for my 3rd machine, and it has run for a little while so locked up when I tried to activate the mode of development. However, VMWare works perfectly for other sims installed on this machine (but with VMTools installed in the virtual machine), then it is not a VMWare question by itself.

Personally, I think that unfortunately for certain combinations of hardware/OS simulator simply does not work.

FWIW my 3rd machine is underpowered with only 2 GB of ram, an Intel ATOM (z520) processor and a GMA 500 GPU which are pushed along Windows 7.

  • Problem with the installation of token of debugging with an existing pair of record file

    Hello

I created token of debugging with recording files successfully. The debugging token has worked well for me. My first debugging token has expired and I have created a new token of debugging the same procedure. But when I installed them on playbook it shows that is not valid. Please help me with this.

    Thanks in advance,

I got it fixed. The issue was that time in the playbook was not in sync with the time system.
