Decommissioning of win7 64-bit to 32-bit win7

I have a HP Pavilion Elite 410 T with a processor Intel I7 Professional Windows 7 64 bit and want to downgrade to windows 7 32 bit. Is this possible. I understand that HP does not support this configuration, but I can't get a direct customer service response if it is possible to do. All I have is that my model is not compatible windows 7 32 bit. Can someone explain to me why he will not support 32-bit operating system because the HP customer service cannot.

Thanks for any help...

Hello

Your PC will certainly support a 32-bit installation, but you cannot convert your existing installation of 64-bit to a 32-bit, one - would need to do a clean install of Windows 7 32-bit and so would need an installation disc for what will probably say buy a copy retail.  It may be useful to contact HP and see if they would send you a set of recovery disks of 32 bits for your PC that would cost less if they would.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If your only option is to buy a copy of the sale at retail of Windows 7 in order to install the 32-bit version (the commercial version will contain records for 32 and 64 bit), you can check the available downloads for your PC running 32-bit installation on the link below so that you will not lose all the software you need.

We plan to buy (Tigerdirect) a PC refurbished which has Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and upgrade it to Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I already have for Windows 7 32 - bit support, a USB key with the Installer (downloaded from DigitalRiver, years ago). The question is, can I downgrade the 64 bit to 32 bit using my media, and then use the same product key supplied with the 64-bit to 32-bit install? The product key can be read "Rebuilt", so I have no idea if I'll find it difficult to do the downgrade.

Tonight, I visited the store of Tigerdirect here in Puerto Rico, just to ask an another sales associate. A few days before, a sales associate told me I could buy the 64-bit PC and he go down to 32-bit. Guess what? Another told me the opposite. He told me that the product key is related to the version of Windows 64-bit.

Not true, the product key is not specific architecture (32 or 64-bit) as long as it's the same edition, the product key will work.

I refuse to believe that it is true because Microsoft used to offer the Win 7 32 and 64-bit versions on the same DVD, a product key. So why the product key should be clean now? I don't understand. Why Tigerdirect people lie to a customer?

    TigerDirect Sales Associate is misinformed.

Good; I want to downgrade the installed copy of windows 7 to windows xp that is on the product recovery disc came with the laptop. I have already created recovery disks so that I can return to windows 7 in the future, I understand, but what I'm not is: -.

I glanced at the (windows xp) product recovery disc to see if 'other' software was also included, but was not.

Is it safe to run the update in win7?

  • How to remove 64-bit for a32 on windows8

I don't like the 64-bit because it messes up my order of my icons or research.

64-bit and 32-bit behave the same way: install one on the other will not change the order of your icons or how to work your research.

In fact, the decommissioning of a 64-bit to 32-bit system is likely to cause your computer to become slower because it will lose the ability to use more than 3.5 (or almost) GB of memory.

  • Flash Player shifts in Win 7 x 64

    Hello

I'm having a problem with Flash Player on my new desktop computer because it has chopped reading. I mean getting 1 FPS in a Flash animation that much an old computer can easily play with 20 frames per second.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, Flash Player 11.0.1.152 64-bit, DirectX 11, and my graphics driver (AMD) is updated as well.

The problem seems to be related to the CPU and multithreading (or its absence). While other computers in my household seem to use multiple cores for Flash playback, it uses only the first of his four hearts, and this core gets maxed out at 100% use everything in a Flash movie is moderately challenging. However, this computer all its processor cores use for other tasks and applications, so the problem seems to be limited to Flash Player only.

So far I tried to reinstall Flash Player, Flash Player decommissioning, using the 32-bit version instead of 64-bit, using different browsers, but the problem persisted in each case. I also tried toggle harware acceleration in the Flash Player settings, but which seemed to have no effect at all on the use of the CPU or GPU, not even after a reboot.

At the moment I am out of ideas and I would be grateful for any help. Thanks in advance!

Nevermind, I realized that my processor was faulty. The problem is now resolved.

If the reason why you don't like Win8x is the lack of a desktop and start menu, consider downloading and installing ClassicShell.  This will give the look-and-feel of Win7 back - and it's FREE!

As for Win7, there are drivers HP to Win7 for your PC: http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/7771366/model/8255011

If this page does not display Win7 when you open it, then click on edit and select Windows 7 from the menu drop down.

As for the feature, Yes, you will have the same functionality in Win7 you have in Win8x - just a different user interface.

There is no 'path of decommissioning' to Win7. Instead, you'd have to do is to boot from Win7 installation media and install it on top of Win8.  This means that you will lose all existing applications, the parameters and the data of the user in the process.

NO, we do not keep or use the same license.  Your PC came with HP OEM Win8 preinstalled, and that's what the license is for.  To install Win7, you will need to buy it and then activate it by using the product key that you receive with the purchase.  You can't buy this at HP, because he's not selling copies of Win7.

But what you CAN do is to check with the HP customer service and see if they will sell you HP to Win7 for your PC recovery media.  It would cost much less go out and buy a copy of Win7 retail.

  • HP Pavilion - 27qe touch everything-i: HP Pavilion - 27qe touchscreen all-in-one PC Downgrade of Win10 of Win7 Pro 64 bit

I ordered, from hp store-still in production, a HP Pavilion - 27qe touchscreen all-in-one.  There are 10 Windows.  I would come down to Win7 Pro 64-bit (I can buy a legal copy of win7 and do a clean install).  I understand that I would lose some features like the touch screen, but I really prefer Win7.  I'm looking for info on how to do this?  For example, where to find the proper drivers (determine which and where to download to), BIOS etc.  Drivers listed on hp for this computer are for Win10 only, there is no Win7 drivers listed.  Of course I'd first recovery disks Win10, where I always want to go to the Win10 or if Win7 is not working properly.

Any info/help appreciated.  My wife and I share one our computer at home with Win7 on it.  Me, my wife and probably would be better to use Win7 we are used and as.

    Thank you...

Thanks for the info WAWood.  I decided to nix the idea of decommissioning.  It would be too complicated, as you point out.  Have a good!

I went from a Win7 32-bit on a 64-bit win7 machine computer. Now, I get "this connection is not approved" on many pages, including support for Mozilla, Yahoo, send a mail to yahoo, etc. The only thing that has changed is my computer. Everything worked on the 32-bit system. I tried DELL-no-help, I tried Norton-no-help - I tried all published recommendations - nothing helped. Can someone give an explanation of how solve this incompatibility (presumed) Win7 64 bit computers? How can I quickly and absolutely get rid of MESSAGES "THIS CONNECTION IS UNTRUSTED"?
Thanks for ANY help from an expert.

Right after that I posted this problem it seemed the solution:
I noticed a pop-up, named "BROWSERSAFEGUARD" who has attempted to set my computer to a "cleaner" for a price. I checked in my installed programs if there was a "Browsersafeguard" and he was there. I uninstalled it, check "incompatible with my system" and my computer turned on like never before. Lightning fast connections and no message more "this connection is not approved. Wow. It took me 7 days to find it. Hope this will help you, too.
