decorations

I put some decorations on my front Panel, but they cover other items on my Panel.Right clicking No brings up

all of the properties that allow me to put the decoration behind the other elements unless I have start over from scratch. Checked some of

other menus but don't see how to do it and the history of the forum. Is there a method to do this with Ver 8.0?

Thank you

Should be a button on the toolbar to the right of the buttons of the spacing and alignment.  Choose your object, click the button sample sent to the rear.

And how one removes the Christmas lights that have been offered as a decoration for the top and bottom of the screen. They tend to hide the navigation bar. Several days ago Firefox gave the 'dress-up' in a message.

It seems that https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/christmas-lights/ is added as an extension, but is categorized as a character (lightweight themes). Go to tools > Modules then check extensions and themes, and then uninstall it.

Now that the status bar is now the toolbar addons that I see those that are listed are all personas and they do not affect the toolbar addons you would also find a theme, and think that it must be very confused now that I no longer able to filter topics with a Google addons research - phooey.

Extensions can be identified with intitle: Add - ons and have changed my research of extension add-ons accordingly.

  • front panel size between decoration

    Hi all

Does anyone know if there is a way to size, a façade based on a decoration.

for example, I have a front apnel GUI with a flat frame decoration.

I spent some time tweaking the front panel to show what is inside the flat frame decoration.  I go back and change some stuf and repeat these optimizations.

It would be cool if I could just put highlight the object of decoration and tell the VI to resize based on the decoration.

I tried this VI-> Panel-> Decos []-> Index [2]-> MasterRect to set the FP. PanelBounds.

It is assigned the same size as decoration, but not really where the decoration, see VI attached.

    Any ideas?

    -Sean

You must set the origin of the part of the façade as well.

But as Ian said, it is probably best to design your front and your decoration so that its located at 0,0 and place in upper-left corner of the window.

  • mouse event structure entrance decoration

I want one of my events in my event structure to detect my mouse entering a specific decoration that surrounds a control. I used the property pane to find what decoration is # but now I don't know how to call this specific décor as one of my events.

The goal is that I want the user to have pushed a button to make a data folder before hitting to start generating data. I need the user to get an error message that they did not create the folder if they get even close to the Start button. I don't want to get the error after what they already hit early, because my Start button is linked to the data to a network variable that will get the ready message even if my host program has generated an error.

Decorations of the façade are not the type of objects that can be associated with events.

I think you have several options.

    1. follow the mouse move event and to compare the coordinates of the mouse with a few constants that you set that based on the location of the decoration.  This seems to be a large number of polling stations.

    2. not to associate your button start a dependent shared variable in the network.  When you press the Start button, make your comparison, if that's OK, and if not, the error.  If it is allowed, activate another hidden Boot button that is associated with your shared variable.

    3. use the mouse down? event on the Start button.  If you find that it is not a valid time press the button, ignore the event.

    4. use the event mouse input on on the button itself.

    5. use the event mouse entry on another button, which is located behind the actual button.  It could be transparent, or disabled, or disabled and greyed.

    6. If the button get press, the program automatically creates the folder for them instead to raise a dialog box and forcing them to manually.

I think #6 or #2 would be the best option.  As a user, I would find it quite annoying that whenever I swept the mouse over an area of the screen especially involuntarily to have a pop up dialog box.

  • Panel flat decoration

    Hello!

I'm trying to modify a vi. I guess the attached vi contains a flat panel decoration and its size is fixed. I want to change the size. I'm not able to find an option that could display it.

The size is not in fact resolved, it looks just like that because the decoration is locked. You need to unlock the decoration using the menu to group/rearrange:

However, you can not directly select locked objects, so either use Ctrl + A to select all the objects on the front panel, or click and drag a selection on the decoration box to select.

For someone else who stumbles upon this question, here is the code to programmatically change the size of the decorations (WARNING: physical don't has no answer for what happens when you run this continuous):

  • Get a static reference to decoration

Is it possible to get a static reference to a decoration? I have some tips that is represented by colorful decorations that I want to change the colors of them based on the data that I get. I know, it is possible to obtain references to the decorations in a programmatic manner, but it is something huge maintainability because it is incredibly difficult to follow the course of the program. Thank you.

I don't think you can get that directly. Check the exchange of ideas. I think that there has been a few proposals along this line.

Perhaps another approach would be to put indicators of color behind the decorations box and change the color of those. The borders of your pipe decorations would be opaque, while the Interior would be transparent to allow the squares of color to show through. The color boxes appear as standard terminals on the block diagram. With appropriate labels, they fit perfectly in the paradigm of data flow.

  • Decoration labels

If I show the object of decoration property dialog box, a field named 'Label' appears where I can type the text in (LV2011). There is also a 'Visible' checkbox above him.

However, the box has to be disabled even if I put a text in the label, also the text is not preserved when I close the dialog box.

On the other side, a knot of decoration property will not display any element of "Label".

What is good for this area?

  • decorations of the façade can be moved by the user?

I have an application that prints a label on a Zebra printer. Sometimes we need to adjust the alignment of vertical and horizontal text on the label. Currently, we use entries in an INI file to set the left and top location. Is it possible to have façade decorations to drag around the user and learn the locations of the new left and top?

Try something like that. (Also related to LV8.2)

  • as background decoration box

    I'm using Labwindows 8.1

It seems simple, so I don't know I'm just on something.

I created a decoration box and changed the color of white.

I want to use the white box as a background for some buttons.

When I move the buttons in the box, they are behind the box.

How to make buttons in the foreground and the background box?

Answer to build an XControl. Only add some decorations to XControl façade and simply a code to change the colors.

  • Overlap of decoration

Today, the only way to access the decoration is by using the property Panel decorations [], which is sorted, if memory is, by reverse order (or possibly reverse order). You could ID a specific decoration using a tag that will be used for your label, but it's not in the context of this post (it's private and unsupported).

    Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Replace the decorations with the color boxes. This will also allow you to control the colors more easily, but they do not have as many forms as decorations (although you should be able to customize the color box and paste it into the form of the any of the decorations).
    2. Place the decorations in a tab or a cluster (grouping you like) control. Now, you can hide the tab control.
    3. Rather than hide the gauges, simply use a set number of gauges and change their legend and the data in them based on the user's selection.
  • Get the reference of the decoration

I design a training request a topic for a task.  I want to place a 'target' on a white screen, have the object move a joystick and follow the target.  For the target, I would use a decoration and property nodes allows you to change its size, position, color, etc.  There may be more than a decoration, so I would like to create explicit references (that I can mention) for each of them.

I found (like others) the 'Label' property, but no way to reference it.  I also found a tool to Right-click-frame by ton Plomp, but cannot make it work (I am running LabVIEW 2012 on a Windows 7 computer and I saw many references to RCF does not work anymore - I have not tried to use it until now) (I can not see the movie which tells "how" to use your tool - just a right-click displays the menu popup 'habitual' decoration).

There is a debate on the replacement of the tool of refractory with a Quick Drop tool ceramic fiber - has anyone done this?  Does anyone have a solution?

I don't know how to get "all the decorations", and if there is that one on a glass, I could just use it (no problem identify them).  But I would avoid really messy (difficult to document, difficult to explain, difficult to debug) situations with multiple decorations, where the desire for a method of referencing explicit.

In fact, image controls are also dynamic move controls.  Here's a quick demo.  As well, it could change the color and the size of the circle.  There are functions of the API for performing a variety of polygons.
