Can someone tell me if I can get a recovery for a 230cx disk? And what is the max hard drive that I have and RAM.

    Thank you...

    Hello

Well, it is a very old unit. I think that it s about 8 or 9 years.
However, I found the information that this unit has an internal memory of 16 MB and it of possible to upgrade the memory for max 144 MB (16 + 128MB)
Also, this unit has been delivered with a 1.37 GB HDD part Nr.: P000229560
I don t think you will be able to use a big HDD like 10 GB. The BIOS couldn't t recognize the HARD drive. Sorry but there is no information on the maximum size of HARD drive.

The recovery CD, you must order the Toshiba service partner.

  • Upgrade the HARD drive, memory and display on Satellite A30 921 driver

I got a model a30-921, satellite phone for two years now. I would ask someone who could help me how to put my hard drive from 40 to the majority and the memory to 1 g. and also where can I find the latest driver for ati mobility radeon igp 9000.

Thank you and looking forward to here from you soon.

    Hi Remelito,

I use a 80 GB hard drive in my SA30 and I suspect it would probably work with a 100 GB drive. However, as portable hard drives tend to suffer ruptures busiest I think their close office 80 GB is perfectly o.k. for me. I tend to have 25-30 GB used with the rest of the temporary files during editing of the videos etc. The hard drive in the A30 is usually under the optical drive to remove all first in order to access the hard drive.

Your A30 can be upgraded to a maximum of 2 GB of RAM in two slots. Currently, you will have 2 X 128 MB or 2 X 256 MB modules of RAM installed. You can get the modules of memory in the sizes of 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB. the following URL provides information on reference numbers (the United Kingdom site), but you can Google for a suitable provider.

Toshiba unfortunately do not provide regular updates to their display drivers (at least in my experience). Like you, I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000IGP in my SA30 and I resorted to a driver Omega catalyst in order to play newer games. I ran this Omega driver for many months now with still no Bul. You can obtain this driver from: -.

    Hi DaveOwen,

I suggest you to run the disk cleanup utility to remove unnecessary files from your system. Disk Cleanup helps your computer run faster. It removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

To delete files using disk cleanup, follow the steps below:

    1. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, all programs, Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

    2. in the disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. If the Disk Cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk you want to clean, and then click OK.

    4. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

    5. When you have finished select the files that you want to remove, click OK, and then click delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

  • Re: Replacement of hard drive / memory level for a Pavilion dv1000

I just got a used dv1000 PC (laptop).  It works and I have the original system for her drives but 60 GB hard drive is a failure.  So I want to replace it with a new one that I get from newegg but I'm not find the documentation useful in the choice of a specific player that is compatible.  It applies to increase the RAM of the current 500K to 1 or 2 GB.

Any recommendations on a new HD and RAM increased?

Also with a new clean HD and an increase in RAM will be this thing then work with (32-bit), Windows 7?  My goal is to be able to use this for basic word processing and surfing the web and the old games that are not compatible with my 64 bit Windows 7 computer.  So W7 is not a must have, it's just smoother and faster to run than XP.  But I really need to replace the HD and add some more RAM.

Ok.  The new RAM has come a little more than a week, installed and works perfectly.  Obtained the hard drive Western Digital 320 and who arrived Thursday or Friday.

Took out the old HD, taken the sleeve out of it, put it on the new and apparently not very well.  Started with and without the XP CD and it could not find the new HD.  Out the new HD for a closer and saw that he could not plug into the Jack of the laptop for her.  PANIC.  Then I remembered the HP manual, there is another piece that I had to remove the old HD; He was there, the small plastic socket adapter.  Plugged into the new HD and it fits and started and let me load up XP from the original CD included with the laptop.

Now, it was time to download updates of 1,000,000 XP.  But no luck, it wouldn't connect to the internet through the LAN cable or wireless no matter how, I tried to set up a new network connection.  After that a few days of market and stop messing around I went and started to search on other forums of HP and by blind chance stumbled upon the one who pointed out that I had to download a bunch of drivers HP specific to the laptop via a computer from work to a flash drive or a CD.  The drivers from the internet no first and then connect to my network home wireless, but not via the LAN cable permitted.  So I let the XP updates, most like that why I exploded and did some useful stuff.  Yesterday when I got time I got all the HP and loaded and installed all drivers and this gave me access LAN network/internet cable at home, without further problems.  Tested both wireless and cable by turning off one and using the other and both found to work really.  HP drivers also made a few other nice improvements in the laptop, especially the graphics performance.

The computer starts rising very fast now too even if the XP it works started out Edition service pack 1.

So now with the computer base and OS upward functions running I want to install the Antivirus & Firewall and then can start loading some software I can not or do not want to put on my regular computer 64-bit.

    Detective Conan, I hope.

    Here are a few comments:

    • Your D: drive is a recovery disk. It is normal that it is full. In fact, delete the drive letter to make it invisible. This will not hinder its functionality.
    • Defragment and run antivirus programs will not release any disk space.
    • Several programs using antivirus is not a good idea. At best they badly slow down the machine. At worst causes conflicts between them.
    • Here are the first two steps you should take:
      -Running Cleanmgr.exe.
-Set the amount of disk space used by the restoration of the system to 5%.
(Control Panel / System / System Protection / configuration)

If you still have a problem, download and run TreeSize: http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/.

If you need to display additional snapshots, please use instead of PrtSc snippingtool.exe to make readable image. Here's what the snapshot of the disk manager would look like:

  • Loss of memory hard drive

I have a computer Dell Dimension 3000 DIM relatively old, running on Windows XP that was equipped with 40 gig of memory, which is now under 6 gig. My programs take hardly 2 gig of memory and I transferred all my documents to a flash drive, which consume 1.5 gig, and my hard drive memory continues to decrease. What happened to all the memory and how do I get at least a portion of it back, let's say 10 gig? Thanks for any help you can offer. GRDavis

Memory and hard drive space are not related.

  • HP 2000: How to retrieve the memory of the old hard drive?

Hello. Recently, I replaced my old hard drive with another because that is a malfunction that made sure I got stuck in a loop start and nowhere else after auto repair. I was told that if I buy a hard drive enclosure that I might have a possibility to recover my old data to my new in copying and pasting on, several sources on the internet said this as well.

So when I put my old hard drive in the enclosure and that connected to my laptop, it pulls up. But it gives me a folder named "Recovery". Inside is another folder named 'WindowsRE' with a few other components. In which is a file named "WinUCRD.wim". I've been looking around for what I can do with it. The only thing I can find is a program called Windows SIM, it does not matter where, and I don't know how to use it.

My question is, how can I recover my data from my old data? I honestly don't mind if my new hard drive memory is overwritten. He barely anything on it as I just got. I have files important school in there I can not risk losing. I have to start all over again before final in a few weeks.

The partition you are looking at is the recovery Partition.  This is for the recovery of your operating system, not the user tour data.  Looking at your screenshots I suggest you look at the F: drive, he can have the files you need.

If the F: drive is corrupted migh you take a look at a data recovery program.  I had good success with Easus Data Recovery, it allowed me to recover files to a friend after a drive failure when no other program, that I tried would work.  Here, there is a free version that will recover up to 2 GB of data.

  • Loss of memory hard drive without loading anything

I am running windows vista on my laptop and my hard drive memory continues to reduce even if I'm not loading anything. A few weeks ago, I noticed and did a cleaning disk, deleting all my points of restoration, but two nights ago I turned on my pc and it was about 62 g of free memory. I checked one more time before I turned it off and it was in the low 50s. The next morning, when I turned my computer on free memory space was only about 47g. I have a total of 250g momory and the only thing I use this computer for school work. Where is all of my memory going? What can I do about it?

    Hello

see if this program helps you to determine what is take up space

by default system restore will have up to 15% of the capacity of the hard disk

  • Need advice on disk HARD and memory on Satellite A100

I am buying a Satellite A100-756 which has a 120 GB of HARD drive memory and 1 GB.

I've seen what seems like hatches for easy access to these two areas. Is it easy to upgrade, and this will affect the warranty?

I also try to find out if the HARD drive with the laptop's SATA? Can someone help me with how to do it?

    Hello

I'm not 100% sure, but the latest and all the latest Toshiba laptops models have SATA hard drives. To be honest you I really understood why t HDD upgrade. A100 is a newer model with really sufficient HARD drive capacity. Compare with the other laptop models and you will see 120 GB is more than enough. Upgrade of RAM is always good.

In any case the decision is yours and you can do what you want. Upgrade memory should not be problem because the coverage of memory is in the lower corner. Sorry, but I can't tell you where is the HARD disc, but the fact is that, probably, keyboard must be removed.

I recommend you contact your local dealer and clarify this point with him. Upgrade memory should not be a problem but to upgrade the HARD drive, it is necessary to disassemble the camera (not all), and it definitely the warranty valid.

    Good bye

  • Hard drive test failed, not found boot device

I have a Pavilion dv7 1245dx with Windows Vista 64 bit bought 2009 at Best Buy.  He slid the arm of the couch on a carpet in stop down.  Next day started ok, entered into yahoo, facebook, then type of frozen.  Finally, don't do anything, turn off manually down, started upward. Black screen, "No. Bootable Device - Insert Boot disk and press any key". It will accept only the recovery disks that I made after the purchase. Starting test ok, ok, hard drive memory test failed 'Boot Drive not found'.  If it helps, caps lock is flashing.  I saw something in a forum on the reset or reinstall the hard drive but no explanantion how.  Can you help me?  And can you give me a ballpark figure on a new hard drive or better to buy a new laptop?  Laid off in Michigan, hoping to be able to get the unit up and running without having to consider.  Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Can be found in Chapter 4, procedures for removal and replacement of hard disk.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01918142.PDF

If removing and reinstalling the drive does not resolve the problem, then the hard drive is dead.

I don't know what that means though the flashing light of caps.  This could be something more serious.

A new hard drive will cost about $57.00.

I hope the recovery discs, you did work on it as well. They should but no guarantee.
