Default call handler

I have a multi-site centralized deployment of Cisco Unity and I have a few problems with calls to remote stores ending upward on the host site.

I created handlers call as backups for each remote site provider in a situation of Busy / NA. He then acts as the main greeting for backup for the main auto attendant and the hours, after hours.

If the AA takes the call and the appellant between a sequence of numbers which is not understood by the unit or is not a DN is valid in the data base of the unit the unit automatically by default is the default initial value of call, which is the site of the main host AA greeting. Needless to say that customers are getting upset when they evoke a branch and end in a totally different store and must then be transferred to new.

Is it possible to keep call local for this remote store regardless of the numbers entered by a caller?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't lack detail.

Yes, you can change this behavior. What you see is what is hidden "wishes of error" the default greeting call manager opening created by the installation program. The best way to deal with this is to use BulkEdit to change the greeting behavior 'loop back to itself' error for all call handlers and subscribers in your system - it will then replay just the greeting that the user did when they fat-fingers an option.

You can read more about the greeting of the error and other issues, you could meet in a deployment of several sites in the book 'audiotext applications in unity' on the Documents page of the www.CiscoUnityTools.com.

  • Cisco Unity Connection - assign 2 records to an system call handler

    Hi all

We have a request from a customer with respect to the following:

During the week (Mon - Fri) from 19:00 to 07:00, a recording informing that the office is closed should be played when incoming call reach extension 1234.

During the weekend (Friday 19:00 - Fri 07:00), another record should be played notifying when an incoming call to 1234 is done.

Unfortunately, it seems that only record under the closed greeting can be configured for active planning.

Is there a solution even set up on CUC?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Pascal

To do this, you can set up routing of calls of 'Time of Day' in CUCM with a system more in CUC call handler, it will work perfectly.

  • Problem with public mailing list as the owner of the call handler

I configured a call aa with extention Manager 2000.

Also set up a Point of road Cti with 2000 on Callmanager extension. The Cti route Point will send all calls to voicemail.

When I choose a Subscriber as the owner of the call handler, I can compose 2000 and attain salvation.

But when I choose a public mailing list as the owner of the call handler, I hear the system error during a call to 2000. There that anything wrong here?

I tried to reproduce your problem on the 4.0 unit (3) Sr and CCM 4.0 (1) but has not had a problem. I changed the owner of a PDL with a single Subscriber.

I think that your problem may actually be the bond of MESSAGES for the CH. Make sure that the recipient is valid. If it is NULL, you'd hear failsafe.

  • Message queued, case/default message handler?

    Hello

I started to implement the QMH design for my application model:

    • Producer
A state machine that implements my algorithm:
Move actuators, send commands to a camera, settings etc.
    • Consumer
A state machine that sends low level commands to devices according to the task at hand

But now I have a problem:

I would constantly check and show the positions of the actuators, as a case of default/message. Positions, different measures should be taken. If I were using a structure of the event into the loop of producer, I could use his timeout feature, but in my state machine, I can't do that.

Example in the loop of producer:

    1. State "actuator move to position"-> mobile actuator
    2. Check the position every 100 ms until the goal reached<---- this="" would="" be="" my="" default="">
    3. After that position is reached, take a picture
    4. Output

I admit, I still have a bit of trouble differentiating between the States and transitions. Currently my status in the producer State machine loop where to send the command 'move' and the positions of the target, is called now "move to xy. It runs only once. It might be preferable to have a State "now in motion" which reads the position and going on to the next State (for example "stopped") once the target is reached?

    Any thoughts on this please?

    Thank you!

But now I have a problem:

I would constantly check and show the positions of the actuators, as a case of default/message. Positions, different measures should be taken. If I were using a structure of the event into the loop of producer, I could use his timeout feature, but in my state machine, I can't do that.

Why not? You can set the dequeue time-out so that if no message is received, it goes to a case of "timeout" of your QMH which is where you can check positions etc.

  • Switch up to this that released some Boolean and default call nodes

I came across a curious phenomenon today that I can't really explain. When my VI has finished running, I want to retain most of the values of controller, with the exception of Boolean switches to pause or stop safely my request. Until recently, I was not able to do this, and I thought it was due to race conditions. By using the property node Value (I know now does not work for Boolean switches) and default reset call node no results, until I have experienced. That if the default reset runs asynchronous to the rest of the application, and is the last VI to run does not allow time to do its job?

So I implemented a small flat sequence (joint) and found that if you throw a wait between the end of the loop and the invoke node, it resets to the default value as expected. Try it yourself on your machine. I found waiting for the problem occurs when you set the wait not less than 80 ms and sometimes as much as 150ms.

Anyone know why this problem occurs?

Why do you use switch until published?  Which should be used for applications where you want the behavior of the momentary push button.

You should use switch when released.

I think that you do not have a status of critical competition because of bad behavior.  You press the stop button, that's true when you're now pressed.  The true stops the loop, you have a very short wait, then the reset to default product which returns the button returns to its default state.  During this time, you can't run that fast and you are always press the button down while all this is happening, then when you go and release the button, even if the VI has now ceased, this version cancels the action and return to the other State (since now it is false, it returns true).

This is why the value of waiting that you add seems to work if you do it long enough.  You yourself gave enough time to naturally release the button.

To prove it, make the long wait.  Then run your VI and press the button downwards, but takes even longer to release him.  You will see the same behavior when you add the very short or no, wait, and a much more natural on a button or release.

Do your mechanical action switch when released, and your VI will run as you expect.

  • Change default handler calls for unity

In 4.0.4 SR1 unit, how to change the default call handler, under the heading "Call Routing"? The default call manager section is grayed out and there is no way to change opening greeting, another manager of appeal.

The predefined rules are gray because they are not intended to be changed. They are rules "rescue" which must be in place and valid at all times, otherwise it is possible that calls will not be managed properly.

You can override default emergency rule basically call manager by simply adding a new rule above him, with the same criteria as the Default rule call Handler, but different ' send the call to the "destination. However, be sure tp change the order of the rule such that your new rule is just above the default rule call manager, but under the rule of Sign-In attempt. If it is above the rule of attempt to Sign-In, then the subscriber access simple message will not work. Whenever you make changes to the range tables you want to run tests to ensure that they wanted affect on different types of incoming calls.

  • How to cancel favorite strung call default behavior?

I prefer to use ContactWidget by Mr. Ahn for contacts widgets on my home screens. I put one to "remember this setting" to the text a particular phone number. So do also set the default calling behavior, which does not want to do. I did some research online and each recommended solution does not work on our phone model. Some have suggested "clear defaults" in manage applications. This option is grayed out for all the applications that you would think that you should try. Others mention that there is a setting for each particular contact... not on our phone. The ContactWidget App behavior seems to follow the setting that is configured for a contact on the Favorites screen. If you click on a favorite that has more than one phone number, when you touch the phone icon, he invites you to select the number you want to call. At the bottom is an option, "Remember this setting." How a cancel, 'remember this setting?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Russ

I fixed it by removing the contact from my exchange account and add them. I've accomplished by dragging to the desktop on my PC and drag to my contacts in Outlook so you don't lose any info. Now the favorite and contact on the home screen widget asking what number to call. I put only the default for two contacts, so it wasn't a big deal of difficulty with this method. However if more it would have put a pain.

It is fixed, but there must be a better way!

  • Endpoint collaboration - Protocol call by default Auto - does not seek after failing with SIP H323

    Hi all

Hoping someone in the community may be able to explain how the "auto" setting for the default calling Protocol?

My understanding is that, when together, he should try to SIP and H323 - however, it seems to just try SIP then stop.

I've seen CSCum27379, but could not know if it was fixed in the end.

    Context:

We are currently move to SIP from H323, and have all items on the same VCS cluster endpoint (Polycom HDX & Cisco) double (first H323 / by default). The problem is that some people dial still using IP addresses, however our new external gateway and bridge services cannot be connected to the use of SIP (non-interoperable).

The Polycom HDXs are ok, they'll just try a protocol after the other.

The Cisco seems to be stuck on one, so either not will have access to the new services (except preconfigured in the address book), or will have all their IP address interoperability of point to point calls.

Is there a way to direct address IP SIP work while composition on the VCS?

I was also hoping to create a search rule that blackholed IP SIP addressed calls would force the reversal, but did not: (.)

As always, appreciate any guidance you can provide.

    Rich

This bug link you to, CSCum27379, there is no solution for it that its status is "completed".

There is a specific order in which the endpoint will attempt to establish a call and depends on what protocol endpoint is saved for use, pg 84 SX20 Administrator's Guide :

Allows the automatic selection of the memorandum of Appeal based on what protocols are available. If several protocols are available, is of the order of priority: 1) SIP; (2) H323; (3) H320. If the system is unable to register, self-selection chooses H323

Endpoint won't try the first Protocol in the list and then switch to the other, he tries only one he can and that's all.  If you subscribed using SIP, but you need to make a call to a registered endpoint H323, you must set the Protocol to call to serve as a H323 or allow interoperability on the VCS to allow SIP-H323 calls.

  • Call the message Handler wishes

I have a client who wishes to change the prompt from the system when you have a call handler a message. It is a system of 4.0 (5) of the unit.

The message is one that says please leave a message after the tone. When you are finished Please hang up or hold for more options.

The call handler is set to hang up after the message and they would like to remove the hold it please for more party options.

Is there a replacement for that command prompt? Or can I modify the wav for the guest?

I know that an upgrade replaces the command prompt, but it is not that big of a deal.

    Thank you

    Check out this thread:

He speaks on the guests are used to this - this isn't TAC supported, of course, but you can replace this guest with everything you want. and Yes, that get replaced on an upgrade.

  • Call the menu Handler for a transfer out to external number

I'm completely hide on that's why I can't understand this configuration... It's pretty simple:

The appellant takes the phone and he made a call to the Unit Manager... The message says to the press '1' to be transferred to the technical support.

I can do this with extension 4-digit fine to a transfer of Subscriber.

But my '1' in this example must be the transfer of a number of external... How is this work?

    Thank you!

You map either the 1 button for "attempt to transfer for" a call handler configuration to dial the external number (i.e. "9,1234567" in the chain of transfer) - or you can have 1 go to the conversation of "transfer system" which allows users to "free dial" the transfer number themselves (if he spends gathering with the restriction for this table). This assumes you're on a newer version 4.x of the unit.

the former resembles what you want...

  • Connection between servers and opening default home

Question about cross-server logon, if a customer has changed their rules of routing so that the default value at the opening of "wishes" is no longer used and a different call handler is used instead, will be this connection between breaking servers? Looks like that connection between servers using backdoor functionality (# and some numbers) which works with the 'Opening of wishes' system, I understand this right?

No, it is not hardcoded to opening greeting Manager of appeal, but he needs to finish a greeting (whether for a Subscriber or call handler) - the logic is handled in the PHGreeting conversation (the guy that is used for the treatment of the call manager/subscriber wishes) - so if you have a routing rule that say, load the sign the Subscriber in conversation, then you're going to break.

But as long as the call is handled by _some_ greeting, the hand of logic should work because the conversation PHGreeting is looking for a specific series of TTS to indicate that it is a grip of calls.

  • Cisco Unity call of managers calling entered invalid entry

I created an Automated Attendant Call Manager that allows callers to dial a (entry of the appellant) extension during the greeting. Key 7 is not locked and expects additional keypress. It works fine if the caller dials the number of correct extension. If the appellant accidentally composed a 7xxx extension that does not exist, they receive the following message in the system of the unit, "I didn't recognize that as a valid entry." "Hello, Cisco Unity messaging system. From a touch-tone phone. "Is it possible to configure the DA call handler to transfer the caller to a call handler I created place of Cisco Unity System Manager? The AA, I created is losing control of the call when it is sent to the system. I would that the AA to hold on to the call to provide it's own 'invalid extension' message appears, then return the appellant to call AA handler greeting. Thank you in advance for your help! -Paul

You don't specify your version of unity, but I guess that a version 4.x of little flavor or another.

This can be easily done by editing the greeting of the error. By default it does not appear in the SA, but you can display it by using the advanced configuration tool to turn it on. By default the error greeting will play this generic invites "I didn't understand...". "and transfer the caller to the opening greeting Manager of appeal. You can set it to wrap on itself instead.

You can also use BulkEdit (found in the tools on your desktop filing) to do that--change the greeting error (still on display in BulkEdit) and in the action dialog box, select "loop back to itself" optional - this way, you can change all the call management and subscribe to the caller of the loop back to the call handler current input not valid.

  • Updated lines and default values.

This is my last thread for a while. My final problem with my apex application is related to the update of lines.

I have a tabular presentation to display several rows for a table and want to add a hidden 'updated_by' and 'last_updated' column. I put their default values such as user name and sysdate that work well for new records, but how each line to add these to existing records?

    I use 4.02 on 11g.

    Hi Craig,.

Have you considered using a trigger on the table instead of setting these values from the app? A few advantages are: less logical in the app, especially if these inserts/changes can come from several pages, and once the trigger is implemented it will define values independently from changes and insertions (your form, another form, a non-ApEx client app, etc.).

    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER biu_mytable
       BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE
ON mytable REFERENCING NEW AS new OLD AS old
       FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
       :new.updated_by := NVL(v('APP_USER'), USER);
       :new.last_updated := SYSDATE;
    END biu_mytable;

Any insert or update triggers the shutter, define two columns. The NVL call handles the case when a customer non-ApEx brings the insert or update. If APP_USER has a value (ApEx logged-in user), the trigger uses it; Otherwise, it uses the database user ID.

    Hope this helps,
    John
