  1. What troubleshooting steps all use to solve the problem? Do you use network troubleshooting?
  2. Do you have any other computer connected to the same network? If Yes, are you able to access the Internet on the other computer?
  This problem may occur because of problems with the router or the obsolete network drivers. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if they help:

  Method 1: Test method 1 incase you haven't tried other wise network troubleshooting, go to the method 2

  Method 2: If the problem persists, you can manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well.   To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:
  a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose the open network and sharing.
  b. right-click on the connection to the Local network and click Properties. c. double-click Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and assign the IP address manually.
  Example: Old Ip address is 192.168.0.1
  Replace the IP 192.168.0.50
  d. let the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.
  Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
  Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
  e. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  Method 3: You can also try to contact the manufacturer of the router and try to reset the settings of the router and check if that helps you solve the problem.

  To get the default gateway, you'll want to use the IP Helper Win32 API.  Unfortunately, this part of the Win32 API is only available for users of the full package LabWindows/CVI.

  To retrieve IPV4 information about your network adapters, you can use the GetAdaptersInfofunction.  If you need IPV6 information, you will need to use GetAdaptersAddresses.  I wrote a small example of GetAdaptersInfo and attached to it, you can see the result below:

  (2) type CMD into the search bar

  (3) right-click and open as administrator command prompt

  netsh winsock reset catalog

  (5) restart the computer.

  Reset the default router by pressing the reset for 15 seconds with power button.

  > Turn off everything, modem, router, computer.

  > Turn on the modem, wait for triggering connect light.

• How can I specify a default gateway for users of AnyConnect with a local pool of IP?

  This question relates to my ASA5510 8.0 software (4) running.

  For many of my AnyConnect group strategies, I use a local pool of IP to assign addresses to remote clients.  The pool is 10.1.50.1 - 10.1.50.250.  The problem is that when clients connect, they get a default gateway 10.1.0.1 it would be OK in a properly configured network, but it's not really one of those.

  I don't think there is any place where I can specify the default gateway value, is there?  What is the right way to work around this problem?

  10.1.50.1 is a part of 10.1.0.0 subnet. By design, to make the client VPN routing compatible with machines Vista. We had changed the functions of IPs for the DG on the client. It had been noticed that if you have the same DG ip address as the ip address of the virtual card it will not work. So what you see is good behavior.

  In other words, Anyconnect will show the first ip address in the subnet as the DG which in your case is 10.1.0.1.

  I've been struggling with this problem for a few days now and it was infuriatingly difficult to overcome because of the nature of it. He appeared at random during an online session, Internet out crapped, the network went not identified and I walked into my usual routine of trying to fix it.

After a period of time ranging from 10 seconds to 15 minutes, the connection will turn into a connection not identified - even though it will still claim that I am connected to the Internet - but I can't access Web sites or contact one of two computers that are running also.
  I can easily reset it by disabling and enabling the lan line, but simply, it delays the inevitable. Another period of time passes and the connection will not be identified again. The significant problem only I see when I look at the properties of the connection, the default gateway is mysteriously empty.
  The modem instructions ask that I use the auto ip configurations. I did this well in my attempts to solve this problem, I rebelled against them and put in those static without worrying. Unfortunately, there is nothing. A few hours passed and he happily returned to its not identified yourself.

  I think you misunderstand the use of management network (VMKernel port group). The management network is used by the host (ESXi) to connect to the network. There is no need of a group of VMKernel ports on each vSwitch. Just add a new vSwitch with a group of ports of Virtual Machine for the DMZ network, that's all. All network configuration (IP address, network mask, gateway) must be configured on the virtual machine.

  We have a layer 2 Cisco switch configured for connections from a Cluster Host 3 VMKernel. Hosts running ESX 3.5 and don't use VMotion VMKernel and are all VMotion IP in the same subnet. The default gateway configured on each host is also the IP Managment of the switch and our network team would like to standardize this and therefore change.

  My question is simple, we ask a gateway by default for VMotion if are all IP addresses on the same subnet and that the fact the INVESTIGATION period were to exist (can we just plug a fictitious address)?

• L10-202: Modem: default gateway server error

  I have a new L10-202. It came with XP Home and I reformatted the drive and installed XP Pro and reinstalled Toshiba Utilities. I installed a Linksys wireless router and a linksys Pmica card. The wireless connection is good and if I connect the router directly to the wired LAN, it works very well, too. But when I connect the computer directly to the modem I get an error of default gateway server. Its like its waiting for the router online. I checked all my Windows settings on your desktop that works very well with no luck. Can anyone make a suggestion?

  I m not 100% sure, but maybe the modem doesn't work because the router wifi and pcmcia card are enabled and connected.
  I'll try to use the modem without the router and the wireless card.
