default Local
Hello
I use jdeveloper 11.1.1.7
I have a problem with the local default.
local in my OS is 'United Arab Emarat' but I want to set a parameter in jdeveloper to change it to 'United States' when running.
Is there a parameter like ""-Duser.timezone = 3:00 ' to change the locale by default? "
Thank you

Server 2008 rdp client does not keep by default local printer
Question: Windows XP workstation connects to the client terminal server 2008 for an application. The local workstation XP has a based LPT printer. The local printer is selected to be used through the RDP client and can be seen on the Terminal Server session. The central issue is that the RDP session will not keep the local printer the default XP workstation. It can be chosen and works, but never stays after the end of the session and reconnect or even log out of the session and you reconnect. It never remains the default printer, instead, it takes the default value of the server administrator. 1 of 7 other network printers.
Points: The XP workstation has a printer LPT laserjet 4000 series as is the local default LPT. I followed a Tech Note "http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302361" which seems to have nothing to do with this topic.
Note: The server is standard with clients more Terminal server 2008. All the network printers according to works, and other customers to keep printers default network without problem.
Annex Note: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverTS/thread/2a6944a1-d1cb-492c-b413-75dcbe7dad9b is linked. I have this strategy enabled for all other customers. I guess what would be necessary, would be a work around.

Reset to the default local security policy in Windows 7
Hello
I saw the MSKB article about resetting the local security policy to the default settings for Windows XP and Vista but you can not find one for Win 7. Can anyone tell me an MSKB article or the answer with the necessary command?
Thank you very much.
Hi GDWNet,
Are you referring to this article?
How to restore the security settings the default settings?
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/313222
Steps mentioned in the article applies to the Windows 7 operating system as well.
Thank you, and in what concerns:

Hello
Just a quick question for out me of a hole... I use a local variable to control while loops, and based on a counter value, he makes it or not. When I probe the effective Boolean value, it can't be exectuted, but the value of the local flag is true? is it possible to change this? I need to stay wrong, until it is true!
See you soon

I have a laptop running XP SP3. If I connect locally to the laptop and you try to map a network from a server drive on my network, it invites me for a username and password that I offer and the player must then be mapped. The problem is that when I click on the new player, I get an access denied message. It tries to connect to the share with my local account that has no access privileges. Previously it tempt me a username and password, but apparently, I changed some security settings and it doesn't do this more.
The same thing happens if I use the command net use. I can map the drive by providing an appropriate user name and password, but I can't browse it in windows Explorer. I really want to understand the context that controls if you get a prompt when you access a resource on the network. I think that it is related to the setting of security strategy for network access: sharing and security for local accounts. I played a bit with it, but in vain.
I realize that I could probably add an account with the same username / password for my local account on the server and give access to my file shared. I don't want to do that. I have several users who share the laptop and access the local account access (I realize this is not ideal, but it is inevitable at the present time). I don't want to have access to this network share.
Can someone help me get my login prompt? I searched on google for the last 2 days trying all kinds of suggested solutions, but I couldn't find one that works.
Too bad... I was hoping that was the problem. But at least it now asks you a name of user and password :-)
Apart from that, you could look to make sure that NetBios over TCP (NetBT) is enabled on the client. Deactivation of this force a direct hosting of SMB which sometimes has problems.
"Hosting of SMB over TCP/IP direct".
<>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/204279 >Your latest comments seem to point to a followed initial connection or bad connect more or maybe you is not authenticated as expected. A few quick tests, I did showed that if you connect using TCP/IP address instead of the computer name and specify everything, including the scope of user name online net "use", it reduces the network traffic needed to establish a connection. As a test on a client, from a command prompt, try a syntax such as:
NET use * \\192.168.1.10\share /user:192.168.1.10\username password
Where "192.168.1.10" is the IP address of the server, 'share' is the name of the action that you want to connect to and "username" is the local user on the server to which you authenticate you. If you use domain identification information, substutite for "192.168.1.10" domain name in the "/ user:" part. If you log to a local account server from a name of user and password graphic prompt, try to including the name of the computer and the user name in the user name as in Nom_ordinateur\Nom_utilisateur area. If it does not, unless there is really something wrong with the access permissions, I'm out of ideas.
Good luck

Question about BGP best path selection (LOCAL)
Hi Sir,
Out of BGP table which I stumbled upon a book is attached. There is a prefix of the table with two paths.
I noticed that the LOCAL_PREF attribute is not displayed for the routes recorded via eBGP. My understanding of LOCAL_PREF is that it is configured locally on the router and only exchanged within the same as with the other speakers.
Someone can say, what criteria does BGP uses to select the best path for prefix 172.18.0.0? He chooses the iBGP route (jump according to 172.30.255.150). In my opinion, it uses the LOCAL_PREF attribute.
I read that the 'Best BGP' document path selection algorithm this path without LOCAL_PREF is considered as having the value set with the command 'default local-preference bgp' or 100 by default. So in my case, BGP compares 300 LOCAL_PREF (via 172.30.255.150) against 100 LOCAL_PREF (via 10.100.83.1).
Please correct me if I got a bad concept.
Thank you.
B.Rgds,
Lim TS
You are right. The internal path (local-pref 300) wins over the external path (local-pref 100) due to its higher local preference.
Hope this helps,

Change the preferred default command to EXEC mode
I'm putting a 2800 series router and prefer authentication type name of user and password rather than allowing a single password. To do this, I did:
Router (config) # username
secret privilege 15 0 Router (config) # NomUtilisateur2
privilege 15 secret 0 Router (config) # aaa new-model
Router (config) # aaa authentication default local connection
That's basically what I want--when I connect to the router through the console, he immediately asks me a username and password. The thing is - as soon as I provide the right credentials, need me the USER EXEC (default command mode) mode. Is it possible to change this so that after you enter the credentials, I'm going straight to privileged exec mode?
Bonus question: as it is now, I have no enable password, so when I login with my references, I run 'enable' to enter exec mode privileged without him asking to specify an additional password. Is it safe to do this way - have no password enable but requiring a username and password to login?
Hello
We do this all the time. It works the same way on telnet
Line vty 0 4
Priveledge level 15
That way when we telnet in, it takes us right to the exec.. priv mode Most people have the same enable the telnet password / console password anyway so my humble opinion, it's the same thing. If you try to be ultra safe, to do something different from your enable password and do not use this little trick... But like I said... I use it all the time.

The issue of local RADIUS?
Hello
I took just a glance to the local RADIUS on a router functionality. I found a strange problem which makes no sense to me and I was wondering if someone could explain to me what I see. As a basic laboratory to learn the tricks of the trade with local RADIUS, I created a server on my router's local radius and got the local vty lines to use for authentication.
This is my config:
interface Loopback0
the 192.168.0.1 IP address 255.255.255.255!
radius of the IP source-interface Loopback0
!
AAA LOCAL RADIUS server group
192.168.0.1 Server ACCT-port auth-port 1812 1813
!
Group AAA authentication login default LOCAL-RADIUS
!local RADIUS server
NAS 192.168.0.1 key 0
user mwhittle nthash 0
!
format of server RADIUS attribute 32 include-in-access-req hour
RADIUS-server host 192.168.0.1 key auth-port 1812 acct-port 1813
RADIUS vsa server send accounting
!Now, it's the strange thing... If I configure the user radius to "mwhittle" with password "mwhittle" it works and I get an Access-Accept. If I configure anything other than the username password it doesn't work and I get an Access-Reject. I tried several combinations, but so long as the user name and password are the same it works and if they are not it isn't. This cannot be a normal behavior unless I'm missing something.
Any ideas?
Kind regards
Mike
Hello
What kind of RADIUS client application are you using with the IOS local RADIUS server? Please note that this server supports *only* wireless clients,
and only for the LEAP and EAP-FAST EAP types, and also MAC authentication. It does not provide support for other kinds of RADIUS clients. The fact that username=password happens to seem to work is, I believe, an accidental artifact of the MAC authentication support, where username
is always equal to password. If we are not using the MAC auth, then please feel free to open up a TAC case and we will help you..
lemme know if this answered your question..

Ganymede local when connection is up
I have my switch configured for tacas then local:
AAA authentication login default local group MYGROUP
And that works very well - I can connect via tacas and when the servers are down, I can connect via a local account.
However, it is possible to use local if you fail authentication Ganymede? For example, that the servers are up, but rejecting all authentications? I want to check the local credentials if it gets an access denied of Ganymede.
Thank you
However, it is possible to use local if you fail authentication Ganymede?
is not possible, because the server will send a message of rejection with auth failed and the unit will not return to the next method in the event of rejection.
Now, there are always slight catch with Cisco Ganymede + server, if you have one, I can show you that.
Rate if useful :)
Knowledge sharing makes you immortal.

The problem is due to NAT configurations. Please, try the following:
no nat ip within the source list 1 interface FastEthernet4 overload
no nat ip inside the source list 2 interface FastEthernet4 overload
access-list 101 deny ip 10.0.0.0 0.0.255.31 197.0.0.0 0.0.0.7
access-list 101 deny ip 10.0.0.0 0.0.255.31 10.0.0.0 0.0.255.255
access-list 101 permit ip 10.0.0.0 0.0.255.31 all
Internet route map
corresponds to the IP 101
output
IP nat inside source overload map route Internet interface FastEthernet4
This will ensure that the VPN clients can access all internal
resources. However, they will not be able to access to the 10.0.10.3 Server
using its private IP address that you can not use the roadmap, when you use the
keyword "interface." If you have a static IP address assigned to your FastEthernet4
You can then use the interface by the ISP, the configuration below:
access-list 102 refuse host ip 10.0.10.3 197.0.0.0 0.0.0.7
access-list 102 refuse 10.0.10.3 ip host 10.0.0.0 0.0.255.255
access-list 102 permit ip 10.0.10.3 host everything
route server map
corresponds to the IP 101
output
no nat ip inside source static tcp 10.0.10.3 interface FastEthernet4 3389
3389
no nat ip inside the source static tcp 10.0.10.3 1723 interface FastEthernet4
1723
no nat ip inside the 80 tcp static 10.0.10.3 source FastEthernet4 80 interface
IP nat inside source static tcp 10.0.10.3 3389 "FastEthernet4 IP" 3389
route server map
IP nat inside source static tcp 10.0.10.3 1723 "FastEthernet4 ip" 1723
route server map
IP nat inside source static tcp 10.0.10.3 80 'FastEthernet4 ip' 80-route map
Server
I hope this helps.
Kind regards

See 5.12 and local printers
Hello
I have a wooded area with view 5.12, agent of 5.12 view and desktop windows 7 32bits
The thing is, when you connect to a desktop computer, only the default local printer is mapped.
Is it possible to map all printers installed on the local computer in the sesion view? (pcoip)
Thank you!!!
Are you sure it's just the default printer? In the screen "devices and printers", it may appear as a single device, but they're all here - you can see them by right clicking on it and selecting "see what's printing", there is a menu item for each of them. This is because all printers are present on the same virtual port and Windows large pieces all together. We have a KB article explaining it here: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1032872

Problem: Local with OpenVPN network Mode
Hello everyone.
I have a problem on the Local Mode with OpenVPN network.
My VM is a domain system based that needs a connection to the domain and redirects to files.
This virtual machine works very well in online mode. It's good for the execution of this virtual machine in local mode in my company.
One day, I get out of my company and use OpenVPN to connect back. I find that I have a problem.
After that I started my VM, I realized that the VM network is link to my REAL, not the one OpenVPN network. It cannot connect to the DC of my company. The IP address of this virtual machine is DHCP on my network REAL, not the VPN server.
Is it possible to fix it?
Thank you.
What is interesting.
Default local mode works in NAT mode, so if the host machine is connected to a virtual private network, the guest running in client Mode Local should also see this network.
Couple of clarifying questions then we can dig deeper:
- Any chance, the system has been reconfigured in mode bridged force instead? (there are registry/GPO settings for this)
- Where is made the VPN connection? Before or after that the VM Mode is turned on?
- The VM really not accessing the VPN network or is it just failing to get DNS information, (for example if you have the full IP address of a machine that is accessible through the VPN, can you ping that even if you cannot resolve the name?
- If the VPN connection is made after the virtual machine is running, have you tried the experience of first manufacturing of the VPN connection, and then start the virtual machine?
I ask #2, #3 and #4 because the NAT daemon can sometimes be a little less sensitive to the host networking changes you want - especially regarding the DNS lookups. You can also experiment with restarting the VMware NAT service on the host once the VPN connection is made to determine whether giving it the kick it needs.

Application by default regional settings
Hello
I use JDEVADF_11.1.1.4.0_GENERIC_101227.1736.5923 build
I have a question of the base. I was playing around with the locale. I put my application default location and local support as below in the faces-config. XML
Now, I initiated my request on a browser language "en" value In this case FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale () indicates the locale 'en' and when I set the locale of the browser to "ja", FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale (local) 'ja '. This means that FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale () returns the locale of the browser? How to find the locale by default of my application that was defined above (i.e. en) programmatically?<locale-config> <default-locale>en</default-locale> <supported-locale>ja</supported-locale> </locale-config>
Thank you
VishalHow to find the locale by default my app that was defined above (i.e. en) programmatically?
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getApplication () .getDefaultLocale)
