Application by default regional settings

Hello

I use JDEVADF_11.1.1.4.0_GENERIC_101227.1736.5923 build

I have a question of the base. I was playing around with the locale. I put my application default location and local support as below in the faces-config. XML
<locale-config>
      <default-locale>en</default-locale>
      <supported-locale>ja</supported-locale>
</locale-config>
Now, I initiated my request on a browser language "en" value In this case FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale () indicates the locale 'en' and when I set the locale of the browser to "ja", FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale (local) 'ja '. This means that FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getViewRoot () .getLocale () returns the locale of the browser? How to find the locale by default of my application that was defined above (i.e. en) programmatically?

Thank you
Vishal

How to find the locale by default my app that was defined above (i.e. en) programmatically?

FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getApplication () .getDefaultLocale)

Hello. I have a question about localization.

I need set the languaje to an application without changing the language setting for the system. For example: it should be possible to configure the application in French language, while the device remains configured in English.

    Is this possible?

I read the docs for the local class and there is a method

    setDefault(Locale defaultLocale)

that theoretically "always overrides the value of the system. Is this useful for my application? I mean, if I create the files .rrc and then set the regional settings, the language of the system change?

Yes, that's the theory. I think not all UI elements get the change correctly, but I remember no more on this subject. You may need to set the language on a few more points.

  • U.S. regional settings are wrong when English is not the language of the phone

Reminder: for a couple of years ago I had my phone language Italian, but because I have an app that I rely that crashes when the numbers are 1.234,67 I used locale in the United States. It worked well.  Ive spent the last 4 months in Italy and does not need this particular application, so I changed my locale to Italian as well. 2 weeks ago, I went back to the United States and rekindled my regional settings to us. However, they do not turn on.

AS you can see here, although the settings to say "United States", the number format is European, and so the above-mentioned application crashes.

Ive tried English, German and Italian, the language of the phone. Only when the phone is in English the US settings will work. On the other hand, have the phone in English allows me to go to Switzerland or Italian regional settings easily and makes the appropriate changes. I believe that an update that happened during the 3 months caused the problem, because as I say, it worked fine the last time I got the phone set to the Italian language with a locale in the United States in may

is - what duplicate by someone else?

    Thank you!

    D

You must press 'Advanced' in your screenshot.  As you can see, you probably have 'Automatic' turned 'On', which means that the language for numbers is the same as the main language.

    Put "Automatic", "Off".

  • Support for the independent regional settings for devices

    Hi all

I am developing my application in Cascades, I need to know if my request can have its own regional settings support regardless of the location of the device.

for example, my local unit is assumed Português and then can I have my location for the application to be English/French?

    Help, please!

    Kind regards!

I think it would be fairly easy because the QTranslator manually the locale of the charges, it should be possible to remove the systemLanguageChanged connection and use your own locale management using the framework of I8n qt together always.

    Hi Paul

What to say I put t understand this too, but there are some restrictions of manufacturers of different record companies and movie studios that don t allow you to change the region code.

The world is divided into 7 regions of DVD.
    Region 1 - Canada and the U.S.
Region 2 - Europe, Japan, Middle East and South Africa
Region 3 - South and Southeast Asia
Region 4 - Australia and South America
Region 5 - Africa, the Russia and the rest of Asia
    Region 6 - China

Readers of generation original DVD came with a firmware level that became known as RPC 1.
RPC 1 discs themselves are able to play any region but depends on the installed Reader software to control which region is played.

But most DVD players (* not matter what is manufacturing *) are equipped with the RPC-2.
RPC 2 drives usually come with a limit of 5 change on the regions, once the counter reaches 0, your drive is locked permanently in the last region it was settled in.
Even if you reformat or move the drive to another system, it will be always locked to the last region.

Such a region code limitation is very annoying for everyone, but nothing to do
Of course you will find many websites that provide any software programs and free non-legal area, but for the most part, these programs can damage firmware own disks and this would lead to bigger problems. In most cases readers cannot handle all mediums and can not read or burn to CD/DVD.

How to restore the default permission settings in Vista

I had problems sharing files and went to different media pages, mainly integrated ones. I changed the user permissions and tried to add the user on the Security tab, but I must have done something wrong. 128-bit encryption seems to be lost. Maybe it's that everything that triggers this file was transformed into a "read only" file (which has happened to another file, I've tried to share). Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

To reset security settings back to default, take a look at the following article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/313222

    • Click the ball to Start .
    • Under Search, type cmdand press ENTER.
    • Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    secedit/configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf/db defltbase.sdb / verbose

You receive a "task is completed" message and a warning message that something was impossible. You can ignore this message.

  • Text prediction with different regional settings in Windows 7 - shows disabled in Korean

prediction of title: original text with different regional settings in Windows 7

    Hello

I have English as the main language and Korean as a language second.  Text prediction works very well with this configuration; However, if I change the regional settings (non-Unicode) in Korean, text prediction is disabled.

There is no work around for this?

    Thank you.

    Michael

    Hello

    • Text prediction is only available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. To enable text prediction in a specific language, you must first install additional language files for that language. For more information, see install or change a display language.

    • Text prediction is not included in Windows 7 Home Basic Edition.

  • How to set the regional settings of the control panel for the Dates

original title: Control Panel regional settings for Dates

I've already put the regional settings in Control Panel to date as follows: DD/MM/yy. But whenever I turn on my PC again, it goes back to this format: DD/MM/YYYY. How can I get there like JJ/MM/AA without having to set each time I turn on my PC? Thank you

Thank you very much Palcouk! :)

I solved it by formatting the excel fields to display the dates of my preference.

I tried to close the excel files and restart my pc. Now the date format of the excel fields remained as I put IE JJ/MM/AA regardless of my regional date setting!
