Default printer in Word 2010

This should be easy, but I can't understand it.

I have a few wireless printers.  They all work very well.  However, I want to Word 2010 default to my black & white Laser printer is fast and not to my slow color printer Cannon.

Suggestions?

Set your quick printer as the default printer for your system.

Select the ORB start and go to devices and printers.

Right-click on the Laser printer, and then select set as default printer.

The 1022nw worked for years, but recently it randomly freezes the 220 X when a print job is activated shortly after another completed. The only recovery is to kill the system with the power button.

  • 477dw Pagewide Pro MFP: MFP Pro Pagewide 477dw tries to print to tray 2 documents and envelopes for Tray1 in word 2010

Set up the new printer and printing from Word 2010
Printing documents to default tray 2 works fine, but when you try to print an envelope in Tray 1 it always says that we must put the envelopes in tray 2 even if in the shortcuts in printing preferences, we have selected 1, tray with envelopes, for this document.
Also tried auto select paper source and no change.

What would be ideal, that's what we had with our old HP printer where you click on print and it went to the default (tray 2) Letter/A4 paper tray, but if you put something in the manual feeder (Tray 1) it would print automatically on this site until he missed and then switch back to the main tray (tray 2).

Pulling my hair out over the new printer so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    BTW.
Tried to file a case of pension, put in the serial number and it says this product not supported by this site, click here to go to HP enterprise.  Tried to submit a case of pension to enterpise and got the same message pointing me back the first page, so just round in circles, I can still apply for assistance.

    Hello

I understand that you are having trouble with printing to different trays on a PageWide Pro printer. I want to help you with this. There are two pieces to this puzzle - the printer settings & settings on the computer (in an additional post, I'll add more details)

PageWide Pro has the ability to support your ideal scenario.

What would be ideal is what we had with our old HP printer where you hit print and it went to the default letter/A4 paper tray (tray 2) but if you put something in the manual feed (tray 1) it would print automatically on that instead until it ran out and then switch back to the main tray (tray 2).

    The printer settings

    • Tray 1 set to any size and any Type
    • Configure tray 2 (+ other trays) to the paper size and type in the status bar
      • Configure the status bar by opening / closing the tray and using the size/Type prompt - provided it clears any existing stored measured value.
    • Manual feed set to OFF (manual feed replaces the Printer Auto Select Paper Source setting) (not a factor based on your description)

    Driver settings

    • The important thing is that your print job is sent using the configuration of driver Paper Source>printer Auto Select.
    • Make sure that paper in the word document settings match the status bar settings previously configured on the printer

At the beginning of the print job, if the media is present in the Tray 1 (Any/Any value) and the print job is sent "Printer Auto Select", tray 1 we'll pick first until the media runs. (The printer will assume that you have placed media in Tray 1 which corresponds to printing)

However, if the media is placed in the Tray 1 in the middle of a printer Auto Select print job, media will be very probably not selected. It is important to maintain the consistency of the size of the print media & type.

    Kind regards

    Jay

  • How to print envelopes from word 2010 on a HP Officejet 6700?

A very simple and stupid question, I guess. What is the best way to load envelopes for printing on an Officejet HP6700? Thank you. When you load the envelopes?

    Hello

Please see the link below for how to load envelopes.

    To print from Word 2010

  • OfficeJet Pro 8100 does not print envelopes using Word 2010/Win 7

Hello!  Need help getting my new printer to print envelopes using a 8100 Pro OfficeJet running Word 2010 on Windows 7.

I'm used to using the feature for envelopes within the Word merge but in doing so, it tries to print on the right side of the page, but the trayonly allows you to center the envelopes (and when I tried sliding the envelope on the side, it prints twisted and cut the address as well (as if he doesn't realize that it is an envelope and not a sheet of paper.)  Just trying to print a single envelope, not a 'real' merge and mailing.  I also tried to change the value by default when the envelope prints in this menu, but nothing works.

I tried to move to one side only, retype the address in the area directly (instead of highlighting and have it automatically copy in the box) and has removed and reinstalled the printer driver.

Surely, there must be an easy fix for this.

    Thanks in advance!

None of this has worked.  You need some sort of disconnect between the printer and the word where it won't just simply print the envelope in the Center.

On the good side of things, I tried and am able to print envelopes using Publisher (after their model of envelope a little tweeking).  It is not as smooth as to be able to print directly from Word, but it works.  And will be definitely better than a handwritten envelope or label slapped on it.

Thanks for your help, Spencer. :-)

  • PDF, produced from word 2010 print to Distiller 11.0 has some "BOLD" letters, a normal font.

    Problem:

    http://www.pdsa.org/images/stories/PDF/insurance-booklet-101213.PDF

This PDF was created by creation in MS Word 2010 (application Pscript5.dll version 5.2.2) and then to print (using pdf Distiller 11.0 producer) in Adobe PDF format.  (I read this in the PDF properties).

Problem: I am in Adobe CC and use, it is updated apps.  If the link above looks great to me.

But people running Windows XP and Acrobat reader 10 complain that the text comes as some letters are "BOLD", and some are normal font.  The L and I are particularly visible.

And its screen rendering not only.  The printed page is too bad.

A clue: here is another document made in In-Design:

    http://www.pdsa.org/images/stories/PDF/coping2013.PDF

It looks and prints great on both platforms...

By examining the properties of the PDF font, you have many fonts that are not integrated and that could be the problem. Try to print with the press or print job settings file. The default value is Standard and incorporates all of it. It is worth at least try, even though you will probably have to get one of these people to watch it again. What I see are the headers and the questions in bold.

In the second file, all fonts are embedded and at a first glance, it seems that there may be actually less fonts in the second file.

Sunshyn, I can still double-sided of MS Word my other printer... I have a Canon laser as well.

    I have Windows.

I think I have the solution... I couldn't change the settings of the print window. But I did enter the printer via the control panel and found the same parameters, but also found the apply"" button. Then I "applied" my desired settings and things are fine.

However, it is a little confusing because he wasn't the "Apply settings" button in the menu printing, so wouldn't change.

Now I know that go through the menu of the printer, the print document settings.

  • oficejet k80xi win7 - doc in word 2010 won't print the background of any border when adding to a doc?

    New gateway w / Win7 64 bit

    Word 2010 (Office Pro 2010)

HP Officejet K80xi - USB connection

For some strange reason, whenever I try to add a border (does not appear what kind of importance), it looks good in the 'page' mode, but when I go to print, the preview does not display the bottom of the border line, and it will not be printed.  The other sides (top, right, and left) display and print correctly.  Microsoft took the same doc that I did this and it worked well for them, so the conclusion was that the printer driver perhaps is?  I would be happy if I could change a setting in Word, or the printer if I can get the entire border to print!  It doesn't seem to be any other question, I noticed with Win7 and this printer so far.

I managed to 'fix' it is by changing the settings as follows:

Set margins on all sides over.5 inches

Define the edge of page to adjust the text rather than the edge of the page

And play with the number of points and sizes of margin, as well as making my text further down until I got the best looking for border and possible space - is not ideal, but worked and printed.  Thanks for your suggestions.

I think it is likely that the printer itself has a few limitations of the border and is old and probably would not have this issue had just bought a new printer rather than ink.  I don't like to mix old printers so they are still works well!

  • Images cut off when printing to PDF in Word 2010

I saw a thread about it, but he never sufficiently answered. It is perhaps better understand now. It turns out that when I printed to PDF with MS Word 2010, Windows XP, all the images seem to be partially superimposed with a white box. Here are the jpg files, but it also occurs with other formats. I can really only the last column of tiles. This also happened to me with Word 2008. I am attaching a page cropped with such an image. Woukd anyone know what is happening here and how to fix it? I am running Acrobat 9.0 Pro. Thank you very much - it was really bothering me for awhile now. CutePDF will do the job but I prefer the 'high quality distiller' better...

You could try the tool object editing and see if you can choose this white background which is hiding something and move/delete it. Worth a try. It may just be an overlay of some sort.

  • How to keep the correct margins/page size when you convert a Word 2010 PDF document?

I searched the Internet far and wide in order to understand why, when converting a Word 2010 document in PDF format in Windows 7 (via Adobe Distiller 9.5.5316), the top and bottom of the resulting PDF margins are automatically increased (which reduces the content on the page a bit) despite having consistently and everywhere the value paper A4 in Word 2010 and Adobe default PDF settings. It's almost as if distilling is stubbornly scaling the document to a different page size any of the parameters are specified.

I solved this problem in previous versions by simply unchecking scaling print in Microsoft Word or distill. "In Word 2010, do you this through: file-> Options-> advanced, and then clear the paper sizes 'Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11' setting ' in the Print section.

Today it is not so simple. I suspect that there is some chipping page or by default will sizing on but where and how to change it?

I have to say that the years of updates Adobe seems to have two different products Adobe for creating files PDF. the above mentioned distill as long as Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended-(v. 9.5.5). However, they use the same default settings of PDF from Adobe by specifying the format of A4 paper.

I think I have seen/inspected all of the parameters available to specify page sizes and scale - Adobe used to provide the add-in PDFMaker for Word, which manifested itself in a Word called "Acrobat" tab, and, we could see PDF settings, but this tab disappeared for a long time with a previous update to Acrobat. I tried to make this tab reappear in Word, but nothing helped.

I also confirmed the size settings for correct page for Brother printers both Adobe in the dialog Windows 7 "devices and printers".

The stones left to chance? Thank you.

Print scale is always an option in Acrobat. Adobe continue to change the name. Look closely. Looking for options like "fit to page".
