  I noticed an extremely annoying trait in the version of Windows 7 Word Pad. By default spacing is set at 1.15 and 'add 10 points after paragraphs.

  I would like to change the line spacing by default to 1.0 and 'No. 10 pt space after paragraphs'.  is it possible with a registry hack?

  I realize, it's silly, but it's really annoying.

  I found something really simple to circumvent this really annoying trait.
  I create a simple Wordpad document with the settings that you want, I want (including fixing spacing).
  I then remove all characters, except one (if you delete the last default Wordpad will support to)
  Cambria - 11pt).

  Now save this document as 'Document.rtf' or the name that you want and in any directory you want.
  Create a shortcut on your desktop for this file.  Then rename the shortcut to Wordpad.
  Now, whenever you open Wordpad through this link you will have it open and ready to go with all your settings!
  There is of course a character, but I start all my Wordpad encounter with copy & paste
  so I never noticed.

  I know that this patch may not be what everyone wants, but for someone who comes to open Wordpad from their
  Office like me and many others, it's a very simple solution to a most annoying problem.

  Weird printing problem

  Good, in Windows Vista and using a printer HP Deskjet 645c with the updated driver, here's the weirdness:

  When printing from Word 2007, Wordpad and Notepad, the sheet through the printer appear in print, but no printing actually takes place. Same for the two existing documents and those newly created. On the other hand, everything prints normally IE8, Firefox and Adobe Reader. Reinstalled the printer driver and also to delete the Word data key in the registry. No love. Automated ran, troubleshooting of MS, but still no love because he found no problem. Someone at - it a good idea? Seems there must be something in common between Word, Wordpad and Notepad, which I suppose are at least somewhat in the code, or perhaps in the way they approach the printer driver.

  1. open a new blank document in Word.

  2. on the first line of the document, type the following text:

  = Rand (10)

  3. press ENTER. This inserts 10 paragraphs of the sample text.

  4. try to print the document.

  5. If the document prints correctly, replace it with another font or insert a clip art image, a table, or a drawn object

• Why I can not dictate in other than WordPad and Notepad word processing applications?

  It doesn't seem to be any problem with my camera, because I can dictate into WordPad and Notepad.   However, I use EditPad Light as my default text editor, but for a reason that the voice recognition program does not recognize other processor as being capable of speech recognition dictation applications.  Speech recognition works very well in Internet explore, because I dictate right now.

  I set as my default text editor EditPad Light, so I don't really understand why it cannot be used with speech recognition.  What I read in the instructions, the application of speech recognition is supposed to work with any program that can receive text entries.  However, I just tested with Microsoft Word, and it does not accept dictated either, for some reason any.

  If anyone has a solution for this problem, I would really appreciate knowing how to fix it.  WordPad and Notepad, are both good programs, but they have significant limitations, compared to applications such as Microsoft Word, and the application that I use for light editing of text called EditPad.  Even if I did have the opportunity to try it, I hope I'll be able to use HTML editors that are part of the Web site software that I dictated.

  You must change the extension of the name of _DOC in just DOC. Then you will need a program to open the file; the free Word Viewer, as well as a compatibility pack, if needed, should do the job. How to obtain the latest Word Viewer

  Your question is still there while in Safe Mode? If so, you try to run a SFC scan for troubleshooting the corrupted system files on your PC.

  What is the default way the current sysdate to a date on one column table when you perform an insert or update via a form? And related to this, what is the best way by default of the current user (APP_USER) for a varchar2 column when you perform an insert or update via a form?
  
  For these columns, I want to display in a report, but they must be hidden on the form, because I have the default app to sysdate and APP_USER values. However, when I tried to use the default values in table in 'the default UI settings' and using either: APP_USER or & APP_USER or SYSDATE, it shows that this literal value on the form (element is not hidden while to debug it). It does not show the actual value, I would, like "user1". Does make sense?

• After I download and install updates for windows, I have to restart my computer. But on reboot, I get a message saying "failed in windows recovery configuration" maybe not in these exact words I don't remember completely.

  Can you try to start up in the Advanced Boot Options menu by pressing F8 during restart the computer? Then, select "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure." I would like to know if it works.

• Setting the default paragraph unique space and NO space between paragraphs

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
