  All on a sudden our EBS refuses to start with the following error message. We are on 12.0.6 version, and did not any changes recently. As it is an instance of production, we should be reviving a SR tomorrow when getting to work, but just thought of posting here - just in case some of you have been there earlier.   Have you tried running AutoConfig on the node in database/application layer and see if it helps.

  Please check the file application.log for more information about the error. If no error is detected in the newspapers and the above did not help, then please get the FRD file and post the complete error here.

  I just paid how to solve my problem. In my post, I said that Reset did not help. I should have specified that reset "smoothly" did not work. I did a Hard Reset, removing all the data on the Palm and Hotsync now works perfectly. I recovered all the data from the Dekktop.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop under Microsoft Vista Home Premium (32 bit).  My Windows Update is configured to be installed automatically, but there is an article that fails to install every day.  The update by using the Microsoft Script Editor (KB963671) fails to install with error 80070652 code.  I read this error code indicates failure prerequisite installation/update, but I don't remember that ever happening.  When I run Office Diagnostics, everything comes out very well.  I searched the Microsoft discussion groups and communities, but have not been able to discover a solution.  Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thanking you in advance for your help.
