DEFY: LED notification always on (red light) w / Skype active

Don't know if it's the phone or something with the Skype software but when Skype is active the LED phone notification is still, barely, but it is.

It turns very low red (think droid eye) and is not extinguished unless the application is closed. Not really a major problem, but I wanted to point out just in case it happens to a later discussion.

The faint red glow means that "proximity sensor" is active. I don't know why Skype that would make unless explicitly enabled app even when the Skype user isn't a call. The prox sensor is supposed to start only when the user is a call (not Bluetooth or speaker) and puts the phone up to his face.

    Welcome to the miketony forums!

As much as I know there no such option in the settings. I would like to give it a shot with the light installation manager app from Google play. There are many different options for adjusting the LED notifications, maybe you will find some that will do the job.

  • Fill the cartridges of ink on deskjet 9800. Red light flashing, won't print. Always worked before.

Your Question: I haven't found new, original HP cartridges for my deskjet 9800 in any store. I so did my ink on deskjet 9800 as I did with success several times in the past. Two red lights keep flashing. It won't print. [Someone suggested that I need a new print head?] What should do? thanx

The coding strip only should be cleaned if there is a problem - it is very fragile and can be damaged, making the printer inoperable.  There is a post here that describes how do to clean the MICR band, but respect the warnings and don't do it unless necessary.  There is also a post here that shows how to solve one of the problems mishandling can cause.  Do not clean the Strip unless necessary.

The coding is the band one located just behind the stem of transport semi-claire. It aims to help the print cartridge faithfully keep track of its position as it moves along the stem of transport. Sometimes dust, ink or oil can accumulate on this strip and cause the following problems:

    • Prints "stairs" to the bottom of the left margin of the self-test page.
    • The margins left or right of the self-test are not properly placed.
    • Ink cartridges carriage slams on the left side of the printer.
    • Automatic test double-print or obscured shows the letters.
    • Defects to flow the length of a printed page (portrait orientation), or on the whole page (landscape orientation).
    • Printing stops and the lights of the Control Panel on the printer indicate an error.
    • Gaps appear in the printed text or images.
    • Slow printing

    CAUTION:

Do not clean the strip of coding for the following symptoms: media pick questions, paper jam tilt, ink cartridge, missing points or rejection white stripes with printing and smeared or streaked black ink.

  • Strange red light

For the last two days, I had a strange red light at the top of my phone. This is not notification of light, I even left my phone down to 5% battery to ensure. This seems to be one of the sensors to the right of the speaker. I tried voltage, battery pulls and hides same wipes. No matter what I do I keep turning right when done reboot. my phone is currently in charge of 80% and its still on. If I lock the screen, unlock the screen and its still on. Ive gave these details to help with troubleshooting. If anyone has any ideas on what this might be or how to fix this problem, please let me know.

The red light (proximity sensor) can also be triggered if you have detection of faces on or if you have any application this movement reqiures in front of your phone. For example, the 'Waze' application uses "Swip hand on screen" feature and sound always on when I have this application running.

  • Continuous red light on the front of the phone

I bought this phone 2 days ago... I noticed there is a continuous red light to the right of the Sony logo (in the area of the sensor, I guess). No I mean no led notification light. Can someone tell me what is the problem with my phone?

This is because you have turned on auto brightness.

  • Satellite L500D - what is that annoying red light on front panel?

    Hello

I have my L500D the normal five system LEDs on the front panel of the base computer, where they are supposed to be. But then, to the left of these fires, there is that annoying red light, which is very distracting.

But what is even more annoying than not one, + not a + manual owners I've read mentions none, + not even a hint. The manual mentions the other lights in their patterns, + but not this one. :-(

Now, I'm assuming it's something really simple, and I publicly show how blind or stupid (or both) I really am. :-) But for love all holy, and before that I lose all of my hair, can someone tell me what is all simply as the red light?  :|

And, while you're at it, maybe you can tell me how to turn it off! It would be a very unique experience for the moment. (B-)

Don't get me wrong, I love my new L500D, my best investment by far and it goes like the wings and I write about a wacky ad jingle and broadcast around the world... If not for the boring red light. ;-)

    Help, please! (i)

    Hello

I think you are talking about a wireless light located on the front left side of the computer. You can see here:

    http://laptops.Toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/L500

Yes, it's a little boring, but you can turn it off by pressing Fn + F8 but in this case the wireless connection turns off. As for me, I use any wi - LAN, my knees is connected to the Internet by cable, and I never use outdoors.

    welcome them

  • Toshiba USB external hard drive 250GB shows only the red light - sound of rattling

My USB HD external drive to Toshiba aged 16 months stopped working yesterday. It shows just a flashing red light
and makes a slight clicking noise. Of course, we cannot guarantee any more. But all my backups are on this drive,
This means almost 10 years of work destroyed if I cannot access this disc more. Someone knows what to do to fix
    This problem?

    Post edited by: admin

I put t know what the flashing red LED could mean, but it looks like a HARD disk head crash. Perhaps you could find some details in the user manual that the flashing light means.

However, he still stupid s cases of dysfunction of a backup media situation. I had a similar problem with my 2.5 100 GB USB HDD. After about 3 years of work, the HARD drive died and I was not able to access the HARD disk. I was a lucky man because I have backup my data also on the DVD so I was able to restore the files and data.

What to say maybe s possible to save data, but professional help would be necessary. Maybe you should contact technicians for assistance.

Best regards and good luck buddy

  • Data Push causes phone vibrate and red light flashes

Hello, I noticed that the data push, in our case to the application of the ECL, causes the phone vibrates if the vibration is turned on and the red light blinks for about 15 minutes or more.  I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this, either on the phone, in the program or in Enterprise Manager.  We wanted to make a push to update on a daily basis, but are now rethinking this because our users cannot understand why their phone acts as she received a new message.

    Thanks for any help, Joe

The priority header and browser notifications specified on the BlackBerry handheld doesn't apply only to browser attacks.  This does not apply if you push to a custom Java application on the BlackBerry (which is tuned for the push).  It is in this case the application to trigger alerts.

You can refer to the PushedDataListener class in the sample of the ECL to see how notifications are triggered.

  • HP Pavilion H8 - 1160t Strip annoying red light on front panel, how to disable?

I bought a new HP Pavilion H8 - 1160t with this red light strip boring on the front panel.  How can I disable this light permanently? Thanks in advance.

Follow the steps in thislink to remove the front cover and power button/light. Skip step 6 (detach the power switch on the motherboard connector) and focus on step 7 (connector to detach the LED on the motherboard). skip the remaining steps. Reinstall all parts except the LED Strip by reversing the above steps. That should do it.

  • HP DC7600 - will not turn on, red light and beeps.

    Hello

In my office, that we just moved all the furniture around, all workstations have been displaced and worked fine before the move.

One of them now won't start, its a flat Tower HP DC7600. She now does when you press the power button, is flashing a red light and a beep 5 times. Then do the same thing again and again.

Any idea as to what could be the problem?

    Thank you very much

    Ben

    It sort!

Red Power LED blinks 5 times, once every second, followed by a pause of two seconds. Beeps stop after the fifth iteration but LEDs continue until the problem is resolved. Out of memory error video pre 5. 1 reinstall the DIMMs. Turn on the system. 2. replace the DIMM one by one to isolate the faulty module. 3. replace the third-party memory by memory HP. 4. replace the motherboard.

    Thanks for looking anyway!

  • R410 the red light flashes

I can't find any description in the manual of the equipment to a red light blinks on the display on the front panel (there is no error message) and a red led flashing below the NETWORK card on the back of the server.  It is out of warranty, so I hope it's a minor problem.

Try to update the system bios and clearing the logs and we'll see if the returned errors.

  • I have no sound coming out of my macbook pro and see a red light in the hole of the listener.

I do not have its coming out of my macbook pro os x 10.8.1 but if an earphone is connected I hear the sound and there is a red light through the matter of earphone. What is happening to you can help me?

The red light of the headset jack means the MacBook Pro thinking that an optical audio cable is plugged into the port. Try to have disconnected and reconnected a headphone plug into the port several times. There is a tiny sensor inside the port that determines if the port is operating in analog or optical mode. Something similar by plugging should trigger the sensor and restore the analog signal.

If you don't feel capable in doing so the folks at Apple Genius Bar will be able to help.
