delete a program in the folder programs in windows Explorer.

Tried to uninstall an earlier version of a program and he still see the place in the program in windows Explorer, how can I get rid of him without making the preformance of other programs on my computer?

Download a FREE program called Revo Uninstaller

http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html>. It will be unstall any program completely, including the files of monitoring programs. works very well, that you should have no problem more reinstall after uninstall this program.

Just don't allow the computer to restart if the part of Revo Uninstaller asks you if you want to restart now orlater. Select afterwards and let Revo finish an orphan looking for registry entries. Reboot after Revo ends.

  • Lock the folder structure in Windows Explorer?

    Greetings,

I work in a large group of engineers to access the servers shared with complex file trees.  Using Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Is it possible to lock the file tree structure so that cases move?

It is not uncommon for a user to work quickly, accidentally retrieve a whole folder, move their mouse and drop it in a different location and not even realize that they had done.  There is a period of panic, wondering how a whole folder got deleted or moved followed relief when (if?) he is once again.

We must be able to lock a folder tree without affecting the access and permissions applied to these folders and files in them.

    Is it possible to do?

Ask users to work slowly and methodically doesn't seem to be an option :)

    Thank you

    Erik

  • Runtime error P6025 calling pure virtual function on program C:\Windows\Explorer.exe Windows 7

On Windows 7 when I try to use the icon on the system tray, I get the following error: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!  "Program: C:\Windows\Explorer.exe R6025 - virtual function call pure" I get every time when I use it but at least twice a week it happens.  I have another Explorer not open already.

This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.

    Follow the steps below:

    Method 1:
If the problem is caused by the lack of Visual C++ libraries, you can download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:

This error can occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing.

Try it out below step to reinstall and repair installation of Microsoft .NET Framework on the computer, then check if you can install the software.

    (a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click on 'Turn Windows has or not.' If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (b) search for Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 uncheck, click OK and restart the computer.

    (c) after the reboot, open again "Turn Windows features on or off" and place a check next to Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 and restart the computer.

    Step 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you manually download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Package and check to see if you can install the software.

In programs and features, you do not show that you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable? If this is not the case, download the links here.

  • Add the "Print Directory Listing" option to the context menu of Windows Explorer

Get the error message when you try to use the "Print Directory Listing" solution found in:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us on my new Windows 7 system (from February 2010).

Could create the context menu of Windows Explorer for the task, but selecting just results in the following error message:

"This file doesn't have an associatd with her program to perform this action. Please install a program or... to create an association in the default programs control panel. »

Wentback and checked my Regedit work.  Even deleted the new key and she recreated (just in case.)

NOTE: I had successfully used the instructions in this article to add "Print Directory Listing features on Windows XP systems, so I reviewed these instructions to see differences and noticed that it * no. * 'associate' step for Vista/Win7 in the article, but this step still shown for XP.»

And, there seems to be NO WAY to associate a program (in this case, a ".bat") with all of 'record' as target.  Only choices I see these in the 'control panel default programs ' are'. [extensions] "and the protocols.

    So I'm puzzled.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    SJ Pratt

I just tried this with instructions to the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us link you provided and it worked fine.

In view of the error you get here are my assumptions to what may be the problem.  Please try these out and answer:

-Because it denounces, "file doesn't have an associated program.." I would make sure that when you created with Notepad the file .bat you na not to create a file called 'Printdir.bat.txt' or 'Printdir.bat.some_bad_extension '.  If your Windows Explorer settings are set to hide file extensions when you look at a file name, then maybe the REAL file extension you give the command file is being hidden on your part and Windows does not know how to open a file with the extension hidden type.  Make sure that you can see all the file extensions and make sure that the batch file is named with the .bat extension.

-If you see very well all the file extensions in Windows Explorer and your file is called really Printdir.bat, make sure that you have saved in your root directory of Windows.  If you access %windir% you see Printdir.bat inside there?  If this isn't the case, put it there.  If you do, when you double-click the .bat file Windows run without error and print the dir?  If it works, you know that the batch file works correctly.

-There's a typing error in the instructions for Vista/Windows 7, check that your registry entries look like this:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Print directory Listing\command

This shows the new key under shell called "Print Directory Listing" and inside this key/folder another folder/key named "command".

To within the key/folder 'command', it takes only one entrance with the name of (by default).  Double-click (default) and make sure that its value data is set to:

    Printdir.bat %1

-You shouldn't need step "the associate" in Windows 7.

-You can add "Add Print Directory Listing to the context menu of Windows Explorer" for the title of your question so that others can find it.

  • Opening the files in the right pane of Windows Explorer

For the last two weeks, when I double click on a folder in the right pane of Windows Explorer, a video look at an application tries to load the file instead of just opening the folder.  I looked at the files Types tab in the tools, Options menu, without a bit of luck and I watched the application tries to load and find nothing has.  I think it started after an automatic Windows Update (although I have that turned off, it still works, of course).

To see what is going to happen, I uninstalled the video look at an application to ensure that nothing in putting in place this program which has been the problem and now a Windows Search window opens when you double-click on any given folder!

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Display folder size in Windows Explorer

I try to get the size of the folder to display in the details pane in Windows Explorer (on Vista).  When I had Windows XP (Professional edition), it would appear that there, but not with Vista.  Under XP I could just click on a folder and the size of the folder would be in the details pane, but Vista does not do that.  (The only downside was that the size of subfolders was not included here, that the size of individual files in this folder; but just expand the folder in the navigation and then clicking on each subfolder, I might understand this.)  I'll be leaving my office soon and want to have an idea of the size of the files I want to carry around with me (and how many CD, I might have need - can use keys USB memory on the system of Government) when I go.  I looked through Windows help, but I can't find the answer to this question.  Anyone?

Right-click on the folder and click Properties and it will show you the number of files, the number of cases, the sizes of these each and other details.  You can also hover your mouse on the file and it will show the tooltips which include the EIS (but not so much information as properties).

    I hope this helps.
