  • Problem importing photos from camera to Lightroom

I have creative cloud for photographers, it s installed on my iMac and my MacBook Air. I use Lightroom to import photos from the camera. A few days ago I wanted to import photos on the MacBook, but after a while everything stopped, no photos have been imported, and after waiting a while, I gave up. Tried again after a while but then received the message that read files couldn t. It worried me a lot because I was afraid the memory card may have been damaged, but I tried to import photos to the iMac instead, and it was no problem. After that I tried to import more photos from different cameras for the MacBook, but nothing works. The iMac - no problem. I tried to uninstall Lightroom, but it has not been possible. In the creative app cloud, it is possible to uninstall Photoshop, no problem, but with Lightroom, it says "cannot be uninstalled" - on the iMac and MacBook.

Since I travel a lot in a few days, it s essential to own a Lightroom running on my MacBook. I usually import photos from the device several times a day, so without a LR that works, it will be much more difficult...

Any help will be very appreciated!

Now, I need to check the destination folder...

You need to determine the destination folder that is defined in the Lightroom Import dialog box (which can be only the folder that it is), then check the permissions on this folder.

My last computer has two hard drives. Drive C is the operating system loaded, but my photos are stored on drive D expansion. What is your version of LR and OS?

When you import, you say LR where to put the photos.

  • Lightroom does not import photos from camera or office. I can see them in the section overview of Lightroom, but when I click on import, said simply that they cannot be read.  Help!

Lightroom does not allow me to import pictures from my camera or my office. They appear in the preview of little Lightroom and I select the ones I want to import, and then add my info etc and manipulation of files metadata, but then when I hit just IMPORT keeps saying that they cannot be read.  SO FRUSTRATING.

To change the permissions on a folder, click the padlock icon in the corner of the info box. You will be asked your admin username and password (can be the same as yours if you are the only user on the computer). Then, you will be able to change permissions.

But I agree that user is not the real destination folder. To be sure, right-click on the destination in Lightroom and then choose 'Show in Finder' get info on this issue.

  • Import photos from camera, scanner

I used Adobe photoshop edition starter until they abandoned it and now I am unable to access the 600 or so the pictures stored there. Want to import them to my account of revel and include recent pictures taken with my iphone. Also have several old photo album that I never had the chance to import before that Adobe has stopped the 3.0.Can I do this? And if so, how?

Adobe stopped Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition and continued technical support in 2009. This link will provide answers to many frequently asked questions about the product.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/Photoshop-Album-Starter-Edition-support.html

It is my understanding that the pictures of this product have been left on your computer and that the small versions of your photos that you see in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition are smaller copies of your original photos, so you should always have access to your photos directly on the computer, unless you already erased them on your computer.

    With regard to Revel:

You can connect to the adoberevel.com on a pc or use our revel win8 or mac applications depending on what computer you use, and you can download photos to revel that you like. On your iphone, you can install the app from revel and either configure autoupload, or manually select photos to download to revel.

  • Import and delete the photos from the camera

The link you gave is not useful. I don't want to use the application Windows 8 photos. All I want to do is to plug my camera and have pictures, transfer in a folder of my title and delete the photo from my camera. It's an ability that were available in Windows 7 and not available in Windows 8. I am currently using Dropbox and it is slow and uses tons of data to my hotspot.

    Thank you!

  • Recently impossible to import Photos from the digital camera or iPhone device

In the past, whenever I have one of my digital cameras or an iPhone connected to my PC (Dell Inspiron 530 running on Windows Vista), the import box would jump to the top, I'd choose to import photos and everything worked without problem.  Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but recently I uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2007 and installed Norton 360 and since then I'm unable to download pictures from my digital camera (Canon Powershot SD950 IS) or my iPhone.  The box "import photos" don't jump (it always did before), and when I go to the Picasa or Windows Photo Gallery and try to "import from camera", it tells me there is no connected device (this happens when the iPhone or the Canon camera is plugged).  And instead of the pealing sound, my PC would usually do when a device is correctly spiked, he made three low knock-type noises, as if to say the device was not properly read.  Interestingly, the iPhone still synchronizes / charges, etc., but I can't get on the photos.  I spent some time chatting with Norton Customer Support, because this issue has started only after that I installed Norton 360, but we have uninstalled Norton 360 (re - installed since) and the problem continued.  I tried several ports, and because this problem has affected at the same time my iphone and a digital camera, that work with any other son and USB ports, I'm pretty sure that this is not something simple like a bad port or wire.  I don't know if it's a matter of updating Windows Vista or what.  So now I'm scratching my head...

  • I get an error of access denied when you try to import photos from my digital camera

For some reason, windows prevented me from importing photos from my camera, and I get the following message is displayed. (The following error has occurred when importing IMG_ #.) JPG: access denied) I use windows 7. I use a USB cable to connect to the computer and never had a problem until now.  I have tried everything I can think to see why this is happening and I don't see a reason.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

Method 1: Restore the default import settings

Visit the link below to learn how to restore the default import settings.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-settings-for-importing-pictures-and-videos

Method 2: Test of the issue on a new user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

    Method 3:
The problem can also be caused by your security such as anti-virus program or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must activate new security that you was disabled programs.
    Disable the antivirus software:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I desperately need help!  I've been trying to use Lightroom 5, what's new with Nikon d810 also new camera and I'm not able to import photos from the card.

Someone help me please get it going, I'm so frustrated.

Not necessarily. the images on the card could still be corrupted and the jpeg preview is visible in other programs other than LR. Have you noticed the same behavior on multiple cards? If so, it suggests that LR is the culprit. I suggest you save and optimize your LR catalog, and then stop and restart your computer and see if the behavior persists.

  • How can I use iPhoto importing photos from card reader?

Aloha all, I really prefer to use iPhoto, or opening when importing photos from card, but Photos opens whenever I put in my camera card. In the preferences of the Photo, the choice to select what app to use when importing is gray. How can I make iPhoto, or even simply to capture Image open rather than Photos? I put iPhoto preferences to do this, but it seems pictures somehow overrides it. Tips, tips out there? Mahalo

Try to set the default application to open the General preferences in iPhoto window:

Do you know that iPhoto is no longer supported by Apple print shops so that all projects must be created and controls through Photos?  Just a heads-up.

Re: Prevent DEFINITELY the Photos to open automatically

    in response to leonie

OK, it worked for me on El Cap

    Open a terminal window

Type the following in the terminal and press enter

defaults write currentHost - com.apple.ImageCapture disableHotPlug - bool YES

(followed by the return key or enter - ed)

    The exit of the terminal.

Photos will run if you run, but it will not autolaunch on each connection to a camera or the card or reformatted the card.

If you want to return Photos auto-launch almost everything, use the same command change YES no

This correction has set my workflow back to normal without Photos of gd lance all the time.

You must then manually run the application that you want to use with the memory card or camera.

If my phone is backed up via icloud, can I delete my photos from my phone to free up storage capacity?

When you back up your phone does not affect what is happening in the pictures. Backups are made to keep a snapshot of your device available in case you need to restore this backup device.

Use iCloud photo library? Is that what you mean? If you are, what you remove from the appliance will remove your library of Photos that are stored in iCloud.

You cannot import into the smart albums.  You can only import into your photo library and then create a smart album with the constraints that you want.

To import photos from your iPad connect it to your Mac with a USB connection and download the photos you want on your Mac in your photo library.

What kind of smart albums you want to set up? If you want a smart album with pictures of your iPad, create a smart album ' file > New Album of Smat "and use a constraint: model camera is iPad
