  Printer Photosmart C7180, WIN7.  Original problem began on WIN Vista, still present on W7.  Device worked fine for 2 years, analysis of hundreds of prints & slides. One day, all destinations "scan to" disappeared and scan function would not work. Email customer support told me to uninstall and reinstall the software 14 times.  Later, I bought the CD with software & drivers for W7.  the software installs, but fails on the configuration.  I tried the solutions proposed in the forum; no joy... so please, don't advise me to uninstall/reinstall unless you have additional information.  I am able to use print and copy functions with direct USB connection to the computer "scan" won't work without the destinations Is there a way to reintroduce these places of destination without having to install the software?  If there is no solution I'll throw this expensive printer, I really like, and use my old Lexmark and my Scanjet 5370 years ago. I've tried 2 dozen relocations since the cd software and a download and work with 'these guys in India' by email. Help if you can!

  Your Win7 computer is a new, or one that you upgraded to Vista?

• Renaming or deleting a hyperlink destination

  I do a lot of destinations of hyperlink to my layout. Sometimes, when I create a hyperlink (assinging a destination of the hyperlink), I notice in the list of destinations I misnamed a destination. Can I change the name of a destination, and if I can't, can I remove it so I can create a new, correctly named destination?

  Using InDesign CS5:

  Change or delete hyperlink destinations

  1. Open the document in which the destination is displayed.
  2. Choose the Destination Options of hyperlink in the hyperlinks Panel menu.
  3. For Destination, select the name of the destination you want to change.
  4. Do one of the following:

     • Click on edit and then make the changes to the destination as necessary.

     • Click on delete to remove the destination.

  5. When you're done to modify or remove destinations, click OK.

  I deleted a mass usb (external hard drive) storage file that was installed in the F: drive at some point when pluging this backinto PC hard drive it has become the E: drive.  I want to restore the files removed from the Recycle Bin, and when I click on restore it tries to restore to former F: is not currently being used.  How can I restore to a different location or drive OR how to make the system to recognize the external hard drive as drive F: and not drive E:

  OK, let's try a different approach.  Try scanning using the picture Capture application in your Applications folder.

  Click your printer on the left, click "Show details" on the bottom.

  I sent a technical support and they stop me reinstall HP Director and troubleshoot my firewall.  I don't think that's the question, given that the firewall is not blocking comms with other applications and software has been reinstalled 3 x with the same results.

  How do you get MS Office 2007 and Adobe 8.0 to be recognized as valid scan destinations?

  -uninstall your current printer via the cd software...

  -access the cd > util > ccc > run uninstall L3/L3.bat

  -Download the software printer c6380... only install the software not the driver

  How?... to run the installation of the downloaded software as usb, when the software asks you to connect the device, check the box that says connect device later, continue it to the installation of the software

  -After installation you run printer cd and add a device and follow the instructions on the screen

  I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I'm been negligent.  I am operating Windows XP. Yes, I'm an old lady on an old computer. In January, I bought a Deskjet 3051 a because my old Scanner HP, finally the waived.  I have been using for several months, but impatient whenever I analysis.

  Is there a place where I can say the 3051 where I want the scan go.  One might think that the Office was a logical place, but mine sends it in a records office where I put the photos.  I read the book and instructions from "the printer scan" and it just says: "locate the image on your computer" is there a way to tell him where to go - politely of course.

  When you load the scan software, you will notice a button Advanced settings... . By pressing will open another window that has 3 tabs: Scan, fileand Destination. The Destination tab has options to change the Base file name ofthe save locationand what to do After the Scan. If Windows Explorer launch is checked that once the scan is done with the scan file will open automatically for you.

  I have configured the 8620 via the integrated Web server for scanning to \ \Scans < ip address of my macbook > the 'test' function's successful return.  However, when I run a scan to network folder in the control panel of the printer, I get the error: "cannot write in------< ip address > \Scans.» Destination folder is read-only, has the wrong permissions, or is no longer available. "I don't see how that's possible given the test of EWS.  I confirmed that the file is read-write for all.

  I see that you have taken the lead and sent the scan to network folder problem you encounter as you mentioned that you on your previous post. I'd be happy to help you with this also.

  Please use the following document to ensure you have the analysis of the configuration of the network folder correctly; Scan from the control panel (including the Scan to Email, in PDF format, and to a network folder) for Printer series e-all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8610, 8620, 8630, 8640, and 8660.

  Please also ensure you have the latest update of the firmware for the printer; Update of the Firmware 8620/8625 e-all-in-one printer Officejet Pro HP.

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra 10.12 and scanning to HP computer software cannot be located when I open the HP utility.

  I can't find a further recommended HP software for my device other than El captain in operating system online.

  If I try to scan through preferences systems for printers and Scanners I can open the scanner, but I can't create a PDF combining into one document - it cancels the procedure after about 2 pages!

  The scan HP Destinations 'PDF for Adobe Reader' is red 'could not locate the target application that might have removed or uninstalled. File format = "PDF".

  How can I get that back?

  I understand that computer analysis can not be activated as well as the scan and combine them into a single pdf document. With your printer HP Officejet 7610. I am pleased to see that for you!

  At this time for this model. There is no software and drivers for Mac OS X 10.12 again, given that the operating system has just been launched, it could take some time. For the time being, you can try to use HP Easy Scan to see if that can meet your scanning preferences. In otherwise, all we can do is wait for the software and drivers to be released.

  I have Officejet 4500 g510g-m connected by USB to a Toshiba laptop that is running Windows 7.

  I got and error message "software HP is perhaps not able to scan the destination by default because the software is not available or does not work properly. When a scan of the printer is done using HP diagnostic every thing works fine if I get this error message.

  Over time I got the impression that I uninstalled the printer several times and reinstalled, this time when I always get the error scan and sometimes an other error message with error numbers 8, reinstalled [(6,0,-2417319779)] tells me to reinstall the software.

  I wonder if the problem with Windows updates. Between updates of Windows I can usually correct the error messages and the printer scanner works fine. This time, I can't solve the problem.

  It seems that you are using the RTMFP URI as your "web service URL" for the user name-> peerID registration service. You must provide the HTTP URL to your instance of the registration service (for example, the reg.cgi python script provided with the example of VideoPhoneLabs). This means that you need a web server on which to run it, you need to install reg.cgi and its dependencies (including python and sqlite3) and create the database sqlite3 as indicated in the comments to reg.cgi. Depending on your operating system, you will need to set the permissions of files/directories to the directory holding the sqlite3 database so that it can be read/written by the owner of the web server process.
