Hello

I need a file in the windows registry to remove.
I use a dell windows vista 32-bit home edition laptop
When I turn the bluetooth on my laptop I get a pop up message =
New hardware detected
Windows needs to install driver software for your Bluetooth device with 3 options
I am using a nokia phone portable bluetooth option to connect to my laptop so when I turn the bluetooth on my laptop, I get this above message mentioned popup that happens because I have not the driver for this phone nokia and an entry has been added in windows registry associated with this phone and that the driver is not in my laptop whenever I turn on bluetooth on your laptop This pop-up message appears which is not necessary
so to avoid this pop up, I need to remove the entry from this phone nokia regedit.

Thank you

  • Cannot delete specific registry files, even as an administrator

The title says it all about my problem, and I tried to run some batch actions to try to give the appropriate permissions to administrators (instructions are here in the post long enough to kitzune0 to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/access-denied-setting-owner-andor-permissions-on/71cdd66a-75ce-4e79-bace-89637e0dacae?page=2). Is what I am wanting to remove the hardware profiles for my phone, so I can return to using BitPim, but I can't seem to get the registry values to cooperate because of the error message "access denied." I tried at the start of the standard Registry Editor utility, but then I tried to use command prompt to see if I could get a better chance to get records three deleted registry keys. These three only contain data on the COM ports and other connections between my computer and my Samsung Alias 2 (namely the port modem and USB connection - paths for all three of them are 'hklm\system\currentcontrolset\enum\usb\vid_0438&pid_6640","...\vid_0438&pid_6640&mi_00', and '... \vid_0438&pid_6640&mi_02 ', if this is useful all). I was wanting to delete these data to try to resolve connection problems to my computer, and it was one of the steps that I was trying to see if it fixed it. I get a very similar error message no matter what I use, the tool registry editor or the shell. When I looked the permissions for those files before using this action long lot, he would have let me even not claim ownership of the values, and once I saw that I was the owner of them, he told me that there was a mistake in deleting the key. I tried to use RegDellNull Microsoft tool for this as a single command, but I could not find sufficient documentation or help to be able to use correctly any where on the site Microsoft.com, checking there through its forums to check here in these forums. It is not giving me an error code for the error, but everything tells me that it is "couldn't delete [all]: error while deleting key.» At this point, the RegEdit utility and guest both give me two different errors (the still he gives to me the access denied message). Any ideas on how to get these deleted?

And the connection somehow started working properly again (not the first time that the kind of thing has happened with me computer). What he needed was to reinstall the drivers.

You need to change the boot sequence:

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

I did a system restore and that corrects this problem, but now I'm having a problem with my network card.

I hope someone can help... by the way I get perfectly in line with my laptop - I know this isn't my router. I'm sure it's due to some registry files being moved-(j'ai eu deles de messages d'erreur indiquant que les fichiers de Registre ont été endommagées ou manquantes) what do I do now? No system restore to restore this part of the register - I also installed the drivers from the dell drivers and Utilities disc - but maybe I've done that correctly? I put the disc - extract files-(he says they have been unpacked) was a new step for me to do after that? Help, please!
    Thank you!

    Hello

We recommend that you install the router (see its manual) and the pilot of NIC once more and check the difference. In the first post, you mentioned that you decompressed or extracted files. Once the files are extracted, you will be asked to install the driver. However if you do not receive any prompts for the driver, then you will need to locate the destination folder where the files are checked to find the configuration file.

Open the destination folder where the files are extracted and run the Setup file to complete the installation.

To download and install the latest network card driver, visit the site Web of the manufacturer of the device or system.

    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards
    Syed

I recently refreshed my system and a unwanted windows .old file has been generated and it consumes 11 GB of my disk space. So Iwould like to delete this file but the HP support assistant gave me a warning that I should not remove hibernation and sleep file, otherwise I would lose this facility of my system. Hello

Folder Windows.Old has nothing to do with the Hibernate. If uou wishes, you can remove it using cleaning system, not normal to delete, to explore. The following steps see the way in which:

    1. Open Disk Cleanup by clicking on the button start . In the search box, type and then disk cleanup in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.

If you are prompted to choose a drive, click the drive that you have just installed Windows on and then click OK.

    2. In the dialog box disk cleanup, on the Disk Cleanup tab, click on clean up system files.

If you are again prompted to choose a drive, click the drive that you have just installed Windows on and then click OK.

    3. Select the check box Previous Windows installations and the other check boxes for files that you want to remove, and then click OK.

    4. In the message that appears, click on delete files.

In Windows XP Pro, whenever an update from windows update has been installed, a backup file was created (example: C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB977816$) is it a similar backup with windows file 7 about the update of windows, and if so, can it be deleted once it is established that the MS security update is successful?  Thank you, Sam.

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files. Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list.
