Deleted audio driver...

I have a gateway computer and my friend deleted my audio driver as a sick joke.  How can I get it back?

Hi John,.

There are three ways to recover. First choice would be to download a new one – you will need your model specific or part number (look for a sticker on the bottom of your laptop, or on the back of your desktop computer).

Second choice is to pick up the trash. If his lack of his first letter, simply add it again. And the third choice is to do a system restore to an earlier point in time when the pilot was successfully loaded and functional. To do this, go to control panel, click System, then click on the system protection in the left menu. When this window opens, the restoration of the system is in the middle of the page, click it and follow the instructions on the screen.

Let me know if one of them solve the problem for you.

Kind regards

All you need to do is go to this page:

    http://support.Dell.com/

Click on the button 'Start Here' far left "Support for private users." Keep drilling down until find you it.

Here's my concern, however. "Go to" and delete files from the way you have (without realizing what you do counts) can lead to instability. You may have done more damage than you think.

    Here's my advice:

1 backup all your data if you have not yet done. I recommend backing up data to an external hard drive.

    2. perform the Windows XP system restore:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/306084

Who will probably return all your system files to their correct location without having to go hunting for replacement drivers, etc..

If you need advice, let us know. There are some security programs that interfere with the restoration of the system, for example. In addition, if you want to know how to safely remove debris, we can help you with that, too.

Download and install the Audio drivers:

  • Audio driver deleted by accident - help needed please!

I have a Dell pc with windows xp installed. While trying to make the space I think I deleted the audio driver that I can now hear her apart from an annoying beep that happens when I receive a mail in outlook or a pop up box. Not of her so I'm trying to listen to anything via the internet and it says no audio device.

Tried various 'free downloads' who just seem to scan then want to charge you.

Not a technical person so appreciate all the advice without having me to try reinstalling windows xp again (I do have the original disks, but want to avoid if I can so I don't lose all my favorites/password etc settings).

    Thank you :-)

I would go to dells, select Web site your computer since the downloads section here drivers model: http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs and simply install the audio driver of their. It has also any program or the driver that comes with a dell computer. Don't forget to select drivers and downloads to first and then the model of your computer and in the list. If your confused, I think they provide a program on their somewhere to download the driver automatically but most often the manual of your computer has this info, or your computer has the model number and the important info printed on the computer.

  • Accidentally deleted the audio driver and have more noise

I managed to delete my audio driver.  I don't need an update.  I tried.  I went on the Device Manager, or what it's called and my speakers appear, but they are bright color.    I guess what I need to know is to get a download of a driver.  I am running windows xp pro.  I've looked everywhere and all I find are updates and links to a possible purchase.  I know that windows has free downloads, I just need to know where to get them.  Please help me.  Thank you.

Do re-post with your PC/laptop, name and reference number.

Or go to the manufacturers website and download the audio drivers XP-specific for your model.

If the re - install the drivers does not work, try this:

Right click on desktop > Open > in the menus at the top of the page tools > File Options > tab view (or view) > scroll up to 'Show hidden files' and check it out. > Apply/OK your way out of the small window.

Access the c:\windows\system32\Dllcache and locate the sndvol32.exe file > copy it it here: c\windows\system32 overwrite when asked. Re-start.

    See you soon,.

  • Windows deleted my audio driver updates

Original title: last update of Windows 7

I installed 17 updates last night for Windows 7 and one of them removed my audio driver. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

'Remove an update - Windows 7'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/remove-update#1TC=Windows-7

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or restore the updates of Windows hidden in Windows 7 and Windows 8"

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

I tried the sound of setting here is what I tried:

I uninstalled IDT audio driver I went into Control Panel and uninstalled the IDT Audio driver.

Then I restarted my computer and I reinstalled the drivers of HP's Windows 8.1.

After restarting my computer again, I checked to see if everything was back to normal, but it is not yet sounded even.

When I right click on the "speaker" icon and then choose playback devices here is what was posted:
    The top unit is called:
Its digital display (AMD high definition Audio Device) not connected
    OK, this is Normal.

    The central device is called:
Speaker / device by default HP (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)
OK, this device is also Normal.

    The background feature is called:
Communication by default communication device Headphones (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)
OK in Windows 8.1 this device has been disabled by default but in Windows 10 it is activated and listed as default communications device.

So I thought that if I just disabled it my Turtle Beach P11 helmet would return to normal, but it didn't she sounded still, I even restarted my computer.

OK, so I tried to set the Communications headset as device by default but when I right click and click on set as default device it wouldn't let me.

I then disabled speaker / HP and tried to set it as default device it wouldn't let me.

When I disabled speaker / HP Groove Music said he could not detect an Audio device in order to activate the speaker / HP and people with disabilities
    Helmet of communication.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    A temporary Solution:

After you have solved the problem by reading through countless messages try every difficulty that none of them I went into Control Panel and he took a glance at the the Dolby Advanced Audio Control Panel now I never tested with this before so far but I was able to fix the Audio questions here is exactly what I did :

When you use your built-in Laptop speakers or possibly other speakers:
Right-click on start (the white Windows icon located to the left of the bottom of your screen)
    Click on Control Panel
    Click on hardware and sound
    Click Dolby Advanced Audio
    Click on listening experience
    Check Dolby Advanced Audio

    I've tested on the following:
    Play music (sounded great)
Played a Youtube video (sounded great)
Played a video that I saved on my PC (sounded great)
Played a show or a movie on Netflix (sounded great)

When you use your headset from Turtle Beach Z11 or possibly other headphones:
Right-click on start (the white Windows icon located to the left of the bottom of your screen)
    Click on Control Panel
    Click on hardware and sound
    Click Dolby Advanced Audio
    Click on listening experience
Uncheck Dolby Advanced Audio now, your headset should ring loud instead of sound like Mono and stereo and crappy.

    I've tested on the following:
    Play music (sounded great)
Played a Youtube video (sounded great)
Played a video that I saved on my PC (sounded great)
Played a show or a movie on Netflix (sounded great)

You need to keep the box checked when you use your built-in Laptop speakers, otherwise they will sound like Mono and crappy.

So basically when you plug in your headphones uncheck the box.

So basically when you disconnect your headset check box.

If you have messed with the implementation in and want to return to the default value:
    Click Advanced settings
    Click on Reset

Thanks to my temporary fix Audio problems are gone, but I hope that HP releases new drivers, so I can't use my temporary Solution.

Also I hope HP or Microsoft releases new drivers for the Synaptics TouchPad so that people can save their settings.

This has been corrected by James Yerkes on Microsoft Community:

    Open regedit.exe

    Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Note it's the LOCAL MACHINE, not the CURRENT USER.

Search for a key in the installation folder called DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

Double click and change the value to 0

Now go back in the Panel of Synaptics, put all how you like and restart.

in any case if someone has problems with Windows 10 Post here and I'll see if I can help you but I recommend resetting your PC in recovery Menu so that most of the problems will be solved then I would install all my drivers from the manufacturer.

I am currently using window 8.1 1 driver from AMD and HP drivers.

  • Beats Audio Driver for laptop HP ENVY 6-1002tx

    Hello

When I bought the HP ENVY 6-1002tx Notebook PC, it works on Win 7 and works perfectely. But after the upgrade to windows 8 Pro I lost the audio driver Beats. System is still having IDT high definition Audio codec, but I want the original Beats audio for my laptop.

    pls help

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58501-59000/sp58635.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

Once done, press and hold the SHIFT key when you click shutdown , completely power down the laptop,

When the laptop is turned off, press and hold the button for 10 seconds.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Presario 2195US original audio driver freeze all the computer in Win7

    Hello friends!

I'm new to the forum, and I am here because everything could not solve my problem.

My Compaq Presario 2195US has an upgrade of RAM 1 GB in total and I installed Win7 on it. In the adaptation of the drivers, everything goes very well with compatibility adjustments and new downloads of drivers for my hardware, but there is no video and audio drivers for win7 - now I'll explain the audio problem:

I installed the audio driver in XP compatibility mode and the driver installed fine (without adjustment of the installation program compatibility is not identify the sound card) and the manual installation of the driver by pointing devices Manager worked too. When everything seems fine, when some audio is played, during playback of audio, sooner or later the computer freezes absolutely and repeat the short sound of the moment of freezing indefinitely. The sound becomes something like tun-tun-tun-tun-tun-tun-tun-tun-tun with the screen freezes and only a reboot is possible - the mouse does not move and ctrl-alt-del is the same anything.

I use the computer with his disabled card, but I need to get to work. The problem seems to be something small, but I have no knowledge to edit my audio driver to resolve the issue. In some of these blocks, I saw that when I'm on the windows media player window and clicked on a folder in a window behind it, the computer freezes, but it was just an observation. Gels are independent of the application that I use. The use of the sound card on sort may freeze the computer. I need help hard here and we hope that someone trying to solve. Thank you in advance.

    Hi - Caio-,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your Compaq Presario 2195US Notebook and having Audio problems with Windows 7 drivers. I would go to the Device Manager and do a right click on the audio adapter (if more 1 present I delete them all and restart the computer) in your devices and update the driver manager. Restart the computer and see this help. Here is a downloadthat I found for the audio driver, it is a third party site.

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the support page and drivers for your laptop.

The audio driver on this page is the one who must have worked.

This package contains the driver that allows Audio IDT high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp56460.exe

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-G4-2000-notebook-PC-series/5226238/model/5265867

If it does not, unfortunately, I don't know the reason why it did not work.
