  The borrowed XP CD is not the correct version of your product key. Since you have a label on the computer, or you have an OEM brand computer (Dell, HP, etc.) or on a generic computer built.

  If you have a branded computer, contact the computer mftr. to get the recovery CD. otherwise you would need a XP install CD that was the same brand (Dell, HP). In these cases, the product key will not be registered during the installation process. The alternative is to use the product key on the COA sticker on the computer with a drive manufacturer OEM generic system. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  I'll mark it as answered although I still think it's something that Adobe faces. Having a broken link that is not related to is boring and in my mind a bug in the program, but I understand how busy all the world is and how such an element is probably low in priority. So, since I have a suitable workaround that satisfies me I will mark my question as answered and leave it to the development team of Adobe software as to whether they want to approach this or not.

  I used a Spry menu for my nav bar and thought that it worked fine after that browser test in FF, Chrome and Safari, but in IE9, it's back.

  The elements menu themselves are back in the actual order of Spry in Dreamweaver and the code that led me to believe, if anything, they would be backwardson in all browsers. Not the case.

  I tried to rename so that they are in the right order (false), I tried to remove and rebuild and I tried placing the wrong way round - which makes them appear in the correct order in IE but bad in FF, Chrome and Safari!

  Would have thought that it may be a hack needed for IE8 and before, but not for IE9?

  Frustrating. Would appreciate ideas.

  Each button in the task bar normally represents a window of Firefox (or another application window). The two mysteries are (1) why so many windows of the same document and (2) why the windows reduced to the task bar?

  What is the URL of the page that keeps the opening of several windows (reduced)? Is this the same URL that you have as your home page?

  Could you try to use temporarily a blank home page and see if the problem of multiple windows disappears?

Sometimes I copy blocks of text from a word-processing application in these input boxes because I can format the text in the wp. When I paste text blocks, Firefox don't the red wavy underline on the words he doesn't know. I already disabled "check spelling as you type" but it does make a difference. I don't want no Firefox to check the spelling on these blocks of text that I copy and paste.   At my work, all except 2 computers are Macs. I'm one of the only Windows machines. I created an Excel file which I want everyone at the office to access and modify. We have put on the Mac server and changed the permissions for everyone to read and write. I also had that done on the Windows machine before placing it on the server. However, people on Mac machines can open, change it and save it without problem. But if one of the machines Windows opens, modifies and saves, it restores the Mac machines to read-only. Anyone know how to fix this?
