  • Upgrade RH 8.02 to RH9.02 rhvariable.apj file read errors

We have recently upgraded from RH8.02 to RH9.02.  When I open my project RH8 RH9 he obviously wants to spend so I say OK.  In seconds, it errors saying something to the effect, error reading rhvariable.apj.

Initially, the project was under version control, so I thought that maybe that was the problem so I reinstalled RH8 and did two upgrades to 8.02.  Deleted my version control project to a local folder.  My old project opens and works perfectly with RH8.  All my variables of ~ 1000 are there.  So I deleted the .cpd file and tried to upgrade/convert the local copy to RH9.  The converted version of RH9 has ZERO variables and gave the same mistake of not being able to read the file rhvariable.apj.  I don't want to redo a thousand variables, then place them in all subjects.  It's a manual parts and variables are in every sense, it would be more painful and not worth the upgrade.

We had a lot of problems when we went from to RH8 RH7.  It would be of course if we could upgrade for once and work the software you want and simply convert the project and... work.

So, lets see, I looked at the file rhvariable and it is clean.  He had a few little things that seemed suspicious so I removed and checked everything was ok in version 8 and everything was fine.  A running RH9 conversion and cannot read the file rhvariable.

Deleted the infamous .cpd file unchanged, still does not.  So I have a working version of RH8.02 and a non-functional version of 9,02 a variable angle.

We have also recently updated our main project which at the same time, the project was in and these variables came in fine.  Just switch to the HTML view in order to save anything in our main project.  Nothing saves the Design view and I open a discussion into Version control for this.  That project is under version control and for the moment we have a work around, but it would be nice if we could just hit Save button and save the topic without having to edit HTML mode to save.  Very strange.

Thus, Peter... and al, you have any ideas why my variables are not read by HR 9.02 HTML?  We thought the appeal for support from Adobe, but they were entirely less useful in the past, so we come here first.  Thanks much for helping us to get version 8 to work 2 years ago.

    DV

    Peter,

After you have reinstalled RH8, I could open and out of control RH8 Version 3.1.  Now with the local telephone to my pc, it worked well in RH8 but failed in RH9.  So I carefully inspected the rhvariable.apj file and found a few lines that were not like the others.

    14 - x 100 - XT

    3010107830

    01 - x 902

    < span style = "do-family: Verdana, without serif;" do-size: 10pt; "> not available </span >

    I changed this line to

    14 - x 100 - XT

    3010107830

    01 - x 902

    Not available

There are 2 or 3 other places where this has happened.  I am sure that it was the result of the application of the style of the font to the variable in RH8.  Strange lines were all lines of text where a part was no longer available or was not ready to order yet.

After solving it, RH9 was able to open the project locally and my variables seem to be ok.  I have to check spot numbers, but I think this information from the police in the variable line is what was confusing RH9.

There was another line that had this:

    01-014

    & #160;

    which I changed to:

    01-014

    Vacuum

This way I can search on empty ot see if it appears in my project and set the variable if necessary.

For now, this seems to have solved the problem with this project.

Please take a look at my other problem to Source code control.  We cannot save our subjects in the main project using the design mode, but if we move in HTML mode, it allows to save instantly.  We can work with that for now, but of course, it's strange.  It's a big project, 125 MB update so not something that fits in an e-mail.

    Thanks for responding.

  • Error 116 when a string of binary file reading

I try to use the 'writing on a binary' and "binary file reading" pair of VI to write a string to a binary file and read it again.  The file is created successfully and a hex editor confirms that the file contains what is expected (a header + chain).  However, when I try to read the string back once again, I received an error 116: "LabVIEW: Unflatten or stream of bytes read operation failed due to corrupted, unexpected or truncated data.»  A quirk I found though, is that if I put "endianness" to "Big-Endian, network order", the error disappears when I use "native, welcome the order" (my original setting) or "little-endian" error occurs.  Did I miss something in the documentation indicating that you can use big endian order when writing of strings, I do something wrong, or is this a bug in Labview?  Because the program that it will be used for is to write large networks, in addition to channels, I would like to be able to stick to the 'native' setting for speed purposes and must not mix "endianness".

I have attached a VI of example that illustrates this problem.

I'm using Labview 8.5 on Windows XP SP2.

    Thank you

    Hello

Please contact National Instruments!  I checked the behavior that you have met and agree that it is a bug, it has been reported to R & D (CAR # 130314) for further investigation.  As you have already understood possible workaround is to use the Big-Endian parameter.  Also, I am enclosing another example that converts the string to a binary array before writing to the file, and then converts to a string according to the playback of the file.  Please let me know if you have any questions after looking at this example though and I'll be happy to help you!  Thank you very much for the comments!

  • Satellite L305D-S593 - disk read error

My Toshiba Satellite L305D-S593 suddenly stopped. At first I thought he had a little more heated or something, but when I tried to turn back on it gave me a message saying disk-read error press ctrl alt del to restart. I did several times in the same direction. While I tried to reinstall windows, I got lucky if she showed to the installation screen once it did, I followed the instructions for installation clean (I had to do it once before, but for different reasons).

Once he brought me to the menu had to select a partition to install on I said to do it on the main HDD after some loading and that time, he said that it was impossible to complete the formatting required. So I Redid the process and I noticed the music said it had 288 GB of available memory, but before that, I had only about 40. To remedy this, I clicked on the format button and it says that it cannot complete the action because the disk is about to fail.

PS My processor is 64-bit AMD Turion dual core mobile, with 4 GB of RAM

    Hey,.

In my opinion, it has something to do with the HARD drive itself, I guess that it s a bad sector so Windows Setup can format t HARD drive properly. I mean before you tried to reinstall Windows, the system could not start due to a disc read error. This means that the files on the HARD disk are confused because of bad sectors

You can install Windows Toshiba Recovery disk?

If it doesn t work too, I'll try to replace the HARD drive. Usually, it is not complicated and can be done in 5 minutes.
In addition, you can check the HARD disk for errors with diagnostic tools special as Drive Fitness Test. Google a bit for such tools, they are freeware, so it s no problem to find. ;)

  • read an AVI using "Binary file reading" vi

My question is to know how to read an avi file using vi «The binary read»

My goal is to create a series of small avi files using IMAQ AVI write framework with the mpeg-4 codec to long 2 seconds (up to 40 images in each file with 20 frames per second) and then send them one by one in order to create a video stream. The image has entered USB camera. If I read these frameworks using IMAQ AVI read framework then compression advantage would be lost if I want to read the entire file itself.

I've read the avi file using "Binary file reading" with 8 bit unsigned data format and then sent to the remote end and save it and then post it, but it did not work. Later, I found that if I read an image using "Binary file reading" file with 8 bit unsigned data format and save it to local computer itself, the format should be changed and it would be unrecognizable. I'm doing wrong by reading the file format of number integer 8 bit unsined or should I have used other types of data.

I'm using Labview 8.5 and Labview vision development module and module vision 8.5 acquisition

Your help would be very appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Discover the help (complete) message to "write in binary.

"Precede the size of array or string" entry by default true, so in your example the data written to the file will be added at the beginning information on the size of the table and your output file will be (four bytes) longer than your input file. Wire a constant False "to precede the array or string of size" to avoid this problem.

  • Reviews for .dll file loading error when starting the laptop

After removing an infection from malware Thinkpoint of my laptop and reconstituted at almost normal speed, a notice of a .dll file loading error appears while booting.  What are the options to eliminate that?

This isn't a lot of information to go, but it's because forums MS Answers does not prompt for information, when a new question is asked.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Read this and see if it looks like your question and if it is not, let us know exactly what you see and we will always fix it:

Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.

If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.

A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

You must be sure to solve the problem and not just fix the symptom of the problem by simply relieving your message - system is not a fix (there is a difference).

If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information
.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that your system has or has had an infection, follow up with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.
  • Dell Inspiron6000 / Win XP SP3: screen blue C0000218 (registry file failure) error - HELP!

    Hello.

I'm a complete newbie to all this so please keep it simple for me :)

My laptop Dell Inspiron 6000 (purchased in 2006) has the blue screen of death.  He's going through the process initial priming and then at the start of the Win XP black screen with the blocks moving on the screen to complete darkness for about 10 seconds then blue screen.

The initial error was as above with the title, as it reported:

The registry cannot load the hive file:

    \systemroot\system32\config\default

or its log or alternation.  It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing.

Laptop and then thrown out of physical memory and remained in that State until I put in now the power button power off / stop.

    What I've done so far:

1 tried to start in safe mode - will not start to last known good config etc or in any safe mode - it lists various programs and then stops at themup.sys file then possibly a blue screen.

    2. run the tree of symptom diagnosis for "can not boot the OS " - failed the following tests:

    DRIVE IDE S/N [serial ]

    read (error code 0F00:0244 ),

check (data error impossible to fix error code 0F00:1 A 44 msg block 346292 or media is write protected )

Passed the following tests: device self test, search, SMART, launch control (slowed down) unit, stop the command unit (standby mode).

    3. with a Dell technician on the phone, we did the hard drive (DST short status test) diagnostic tests and the message returned was:

Unit 0: Status of the IDE failed status byte = 64 control code = 1 Msg no = no additional sense information.

The Dell technician has determined that the hard drive was not so I need a new.  Is this true? Could there be any other cause?

    4. run a Test Express via diagnosis - on confidence Test it reportedcode 0F00:1344 with Error Msg: block incorrigible data error 344575 or media is media is protected .  Reinforced the message with several blocks - basically all one of 367933 to 346292.

Other information that might be relevant

    1. A few weeks ago I remember an error message (think blue screen came then as well, but not as shown above), then it auto ran chkdsk, said something to be dirty, completed and started normally.
    2. Some time ago (6 months), I did a "full backup of the system" through windows in which I myself remember a section of the disk has been partitioned "in case of emergency.  Plug my Maxtor hard drive on my desktop, I can see the backup and explore folders - one is called windows and there a subfolder called to repair ; Another is called 'State system' with folders calledboot files , COM + registration database class , register .  Is there a file called 'default' in there that I could replace the defective one with?
    3. Windows XP is professional, version 2002 with Service Pack 3.  I don't have disks, OEM installed.

    What I would do:

Of course, to fix the computer, but as always, to retrieve the data I have on it (a lot!) as well as the programs/applications I have on it.  A friend said use what we call "hirems mini xp"-apparently it starts from a cd and looks like a windows safe mode, then copy all data on my external Maxtor drive?  Can I get to a point where I could restart windows normally and do a full save / copy data/applications?

Can I get another hard drive (assuming that the Dell technician is correct in that it doesn't have / does not) and transfer all the files from the old hard drive on my Maxtor external drive, then on the new hard drive (I read somewhere in these forums, you can get a kind of "box" usb Link the old hd once out , the new hd once in the laptop - it is a better option? Where can I get this kit?

I would appreciate any help/tips on how to recover from this situation.

    Thank you very much

    Hi again.

A friend (an very teccie one!) had a look and found that the head had crashed into the disc.  He had not received a blow as it was probably caused by my turn off the card in the stop - I would have thought the transfer of energy from the battery car would not have had impact, but we live and learn lol - won't do it again.  Ordered new hard drive...

    Hope that helps

    Hello

    It's a scam.

File recovery is a family of scareware programs Rogue.FakeHDD computer infection. This family of computer infections pretended to be a hard drive diagnostic and repair programs which scans your hard drives for errors and then allows you to correct. In reality, however, this program is a computer virus which displays false information, hijacks your computer and hide your files and Windows Start menu to make you believe that your hard drive has failed. This family of computer infections spread through Trojans that display fake computer error messages. When you click on one of these messages it will then launch file recovery program in the hope that you will buy it
