Deleting albums/photos imported into iPhone

Greetings

On my iPhone, I have pictures that I took with my iPhone, but also who were imported to it from my Mac via iTunes (opening). I want to erase the photos on my iPhone that were imported to it from my Mac (Aperture, they were at the time where the opening is still supported) without deleting the pictures that I took with my iPhone.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Thank you!

John

You synchronize these photos Mac to your iPhone via iTunes? If so, deselect photos on your Mac and re-sync. They will disappear when the synchronization is complete.

I deleted some photos from my iPhone 6 but I noticed that it was also deleted out of my IMac. How can I stop this

If you use iCloud photo library all the photos you delete a device will be deleted to iCloud and all other devices that are connected to this library to iCloud. The iCloud design library should synchronize all changes, including deletions, to all devices. You can reduce the storage space required on your phone by selecting settings > iCloud > Photos > optimize iPhone storage.

We cannot see you then you will need to provide us with details

What versions of software are you using?

A wild guess gave no information to work with is that you use iCloud photo library - if you then any changes made on any device (including deletions) is made on all devices - if you use ICPL you use optimized photos on any device with limited storage

  • I had to rebuild the computer and reinstalled the photos of cecently.  I have photos imported into Lightroom, but the parameters associated with the photos, that is to say. When they were developed, are not there.  How to import these?

I recently had to rebuild the computer and reinstalled the photos.  I have photos imported into Lightroom, but the parameters associated with the photos, that is to say. When they were developed, are not there.  How to import these?

Default LR stores all changes in the catalog file, not in the pictures. So if you have a backup of your original catalog you will need to copy on the newly rebuilt system and open it in LR. You will then need to recreate a link to the images in the catalog depending on where are your images and where the original LR catalogue think they are.

  • I want to delete 1000 + photos from my iPhone

I have over 1000 pictures on my iPhone. They were copied on my iMac, but not deleted from the phone.

How can I select all of the inventory for deletion, other than selecting them individually?

    iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

    iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.1.2

    Thank you.

If you are using the latest version of iOS, you can rub your finger on a lot of select several at once. It would still take time.

You can also find a friend with a PC, open the file Explorer, select the phone and delete all this under the DCIM folder. This can be done in the Mac Finder. Photos of Mac, the pictures may not appear after that that they were imported.

  • Why not show the photos imported into Lightroom?

I imported a file of about 170 photos in lightroom using the same process I used for a month.  the files are a combination of canon .cr2 files and corresponding .jpg files that go with the .cr2s.

After the import is complete lightroom showed zero pictures in this folder.  I immediately took panic and double checked that all files really did not exist in the folder via windows Explorer.

However, if I go back and try to re-importation of the import function files shows all files as having been previously imported.

I tried the process "synchronize the folder" and it shows first as '170' files to import, but after the full synchronization function it shows 0 files processed.

Any ideas why lightroom refuses to show this particular group of files?

I suspect it's something either really easy or the library on my system is messed up because of corruption.

If the library is messed up how can I do to rebuild.  These photos are critical for me because they are shooting at the head of an actress.

Here is my proposal... you imported photos with the copy option, and if your Windows Explorer thinks that they are in the Outbox folder (so you think), and Lightroom they think in case Z, where the photos have been copied.

So... in Lightroom, if you si vous pouvez pouvez go to catalog the left panel, click on all photos, find one of these photos of 170 critical and do a right click on it then go to the folder in the library. This will tell you where Lightroom think that pictures are found. From there, you can work with photos, or update their folder location A (where you think they should be). If it works and that's what you want, writing back and we will advice you and others.

  • Can I delete photos on my iPhone after them have been imported into iPhoto library?

    Hello!

It is at this time of the year when you wanted to take pictures of summer vacation right on your iphone, but you found out that you have less than 500 MB of memory space. Well, it's happened to me.

I imported my iPhone on my Macbook iPhoto pictures, and I would like to delete these photos on my iPhone. I would like to know if I could do it in iPhoto or iTunes.

In addition, it would be possible for me to re - upload photos from iPhoto to my iPhone?

    Kind regards

    TL

Assuming you are using iPhoto and not the new Photos.app, Yes.

You can bulk delete via Capture of Image (in the Applications folder)

Create a picture Album that you want on the phone and you can share them on the phone via iTunes.

Similar goods are available with Photos.app and photo library to iCloud, but work in different ways.

  • Deleting photos on an iPhone 6 after importing Photos

I used 6 (iOS 9.2.1) photos to import photos from my iPhone but can't seem to delete them from my phone because I'm running out of space. I can't find an option in Photos for me to do. I use iCloud library but tired of receiving messages telling me I am out of space and need to buy more. I was using the iPhone Optimize Storage option, so when I try to turn off iCloud, he tells me I'm losing photos. I guess that it space to store all of the photos uploaded to iCloud original is much more than the space I have left on my phone. So why would I back up my photos to a photo library. Yes, I could go through frame by frame making sure that they are all there, but there are more than 2500 and would prefer to delete automatically the picures copied after importation. Make sense?

Import Photos Panel has a check "Remove items after importing" below the toolbar. If you enable this, before importing items, they will be automatically deleted.

You don't see this check box, because you have activated on your iPhone photo library iCloud.  As long as you use iCloud photo library, the Mac cannot delete the photos, because they are stored in iCloud and only mirrored on your iPhone.

"Remove items after importation" is to risk anyway. I would not use this option. First, it is safer to check if the import was successful before deleting the photos from the iPhone.  Sometimes it happens that photos will be removed from the device, even if the import was not successful.

So why would I back up my photos to a photo library. Yes, I could go through frame by frame making sure that they are all there, but there are more than 2500 and would prefer to delete automatically the picures copied after importation. Make sense?

Since all the pictures are in the library of iCloud, download them by creating a new library of Photos on your Mac and enable it in your library to iCloud.  It will download all photos in iCloud.

You are you sure, that all the photos are safely on your Mac, disable iCloud photo library on your iPhone.  Then you can connect the iPhone to a USB port and use Image Capture to remove all the photos from the iPhone.

You can also download pictures from iCloud by using the web interface of your iCloud to www.icloud.com account.  Launch the Photos.app on this page and select the photos to download.

  • How do you delete photos from an iPhone but keep them on a mac

I want to delete some photos from my iPhone 6 but keep them on my MacBook - how can I do this?

    Hey Jill,.

This should be possible as long as you do not use icloud photo library.

With iCloud, photo library, your devices are giving you access to your library, which is stored directly in iCloud. Therefore, when you delete a photo of iCloud photo library on any device, it removes from everywhere.

When you turn off the iCloud photo library, each device is its own independent photo library. You must manually import pictures from your phone to your MacBook, then you could remove your phone at will.

If you wish to continue using iCloud photo library, but also want to save space on your phone, consider turning on Optimize iPhone storage in the section Photos to your phone settings iCloud!

  • MacBook detects the iPhone but doesn't detect photos on the iPhone.

When I plug my iPhone into my MacBook, Photos detects the device name and the box I choose "Open of Photos for this device." However, none of the photos on the device appear in the main window, not even pictures/videos that have not yet synchronized to iCloud. Why is this happening?

I'd love to be able to import from and delete the photos on my iPhone using Photos to the MacBook when iPhone is connected, is it possible?

I iCloud running on the iPhone and MacBook, but this way of synchronization is not consistent - for example most of the photos on my iPhone for August is not synchronized to iCloud, despite pictures before and after, then after having downloaded and is available on my MacBook. Why is this and how do I solve this problem?

Connect your phone and whie it is connected do a soft on restart

  • Why not show the photos from my iPhone to the top in iPhoto?

I recently started using iCloud for storing photos.  Pictures taken from my iPhone 6 appear in iCloud without problem, but they are never on iPhoto (MacBook Pro).  I sync my iPhone to get photos imported into iPhoto.  The settings on my phone and computer are supposed to be correct.  Any ideas on what's going on?

iCloud library does not work with iPhoto. It syncs photos of Yosemite OS X 10.10.3 or later version.

Whenever I have delete a my phone is off, it removes off my macbook too.

You have iCloud library enabled, as well on your iPhone and your Mac? Then you sync the library on your Mac and your iPhone in iCloud. all photos are stored in iCloud, make you adjustments will synchronize to iCloud, and then the changes will be synchronized to all devices, so your photo library will look exactly the same on all devices.

Do not delete any photo you want on any of your devices, if you use iCloud photo library.  To win the storage on your iPhone select "optimize storage. Then the photos on your iPhone will be reduced in the size of the file, but you need an internet connection if you want to see the full versions.

If you want less photos on your iPhone to your Mac, do not use iCloud photo library.  Select only 'My Photo Stream' transfer photos from your iPhone to your Mac or use a USB connection. My photo stream is more economic, in any case, because it's free. iCloud library uses the iCloud paid storage and only 5 GB are free. If your photos need more storage, you will need a paid subscription.

See these support pages: iCloud Photo library FAQ

and: iCloud: get help using my photo stream

If you want to turn off iCloud photo library, be sure to disable 'optimize storage"before do you. Wait for the full versions to download again to iCloud.

  • import into Lightroom 5 is automatic, color/contrast change?

Was hoping you could shed some light on something for me.  After you import Lightroom 5 by clicking on an image for 1-2 seconds it looks as it did when I shot (nice contrast, nice colors etc.). After 1 or 2 seconds to bland seams of color and contrast to change so I do use lightroom to bring what she looked like, why is this?

It is normal for some GROSS photos imported into Lightroom. Initially, Lightroom displays the preview JPG embedded in the RAW file. then after he has a chance to make the photo, it shows you the RAW format, essentially non-edited. There is no way to disable this option. You can configure a develop preset that is applied to the import which will automatically the photo look more to your taste.
