Deleting files with CFThread

As I understand it, my file should be deleted when the mail is sent.  However, the file is not deleted.  Am I missing something?  I need to use threading because if I just try to send the file, then delete it, the file is not found.

< cfthread action = "run" name = 'send_mail' >
< intrusion via cfmail to = "#to #" from = "' #from # ' subject 'Report' = >"
< cfmailparam file = ' #filename # .pdf ">
#variables.text #.
< / intrusion via cfmail >
< / cfthread >
< cfthread action = "join" name = 'send_mail' >
< cffile action = "delete" queue = "#filename # .pdf" >
< / cfthread >

Thank you!

If you want the intrusion via cfmail/cfmailparam to delete your file, you don't have to add remove = "true" to the cfmailparam tag. The timing of your mail is sent and the file being deleted can be difficult because the CF does not send only mail. It is wrapped and then sent (kind of thread peut not suit your goals).

The remove attribute was added in 8.0.1, and from what I can tell, even CF LiveDocs don't are not updated with it yet! Ben Nadel has a very good post on this subject:

Hope this helps!

  • Cannot delete files with long file names in Windows 7

Unnecessary Windows 7 will not erase a file whose name is too long. I have no name, it is in a temporary folder of IE. I can't get rid of it as options to rename will not be visible.

Thanks, but I have solved the problem. The error message was about 'file path or destination file name is too long. It is the backup to the temporary internet file that was causing a problem: he made the PATH too long as she added additional elements on the path. That was simply solved by the path to 2 bits, (path upper and lower file path) to cut and remove separately.

When I tried to delete the .jpg image with the extremely long filename at the end of the long path he says as the destination folder (ie the TRASH) could not hold the file due to excessive length. It's confusing to say the least.

Anyway that little trash has bit the dust.

  • It is not possible to delete files with characters draw in file names.

If you copy this file name:

    MyPrefs␀␀

And paste as the name of a file on your computer to El Capitan you not be able to remove it.

If your computer cannot start in an earlier version of Mac OS X the only option I found was to format the drive and reinstall from upward (without restoring the file of course)

If you're like me and have more than 10 TB of data, this can be something of a pain in the anus.

For now, I resorted to a file of copies of each disc in the trash, move the offending in its respective folder file and returning the file via this folder to his house by car. I then turn the invisible folder so I don't have to deal with errors of garbage every time I remove a file.

Until any of you tell me to use a terminal command, boot from a USB key, or use the restore mode. Try it yourself and failure.

I put a little effort in an installation of linux thumbdrive I read on, but could not find one that was compatible with the new processor of skylake, but it worked fine on my old mac pro

This was not the case in previous versions of the operating system.

  • Photo Loader deletes files with the same file name

A few days ago I imported a number of photos and videos from my iPhone to a specific folder on my MBA by using Photo Loader. Tonight, I imported again a number of photos and videos in this folder, only to find out they were not imported after all as the file names already exist. Apparently, iOS uses IMG_xxxx.xxx for all that is shot with the camera and always uses the next available number. So as I had already IMG_0618.JPG in this case, she has just imported this photo, but that the flag has been verified, he took the original iPhone itself.

As they have not been removed by interaction on the iPhone, but by means of Photo Loader, they don't pop up under "recently retired" and the device with third-party scanning software also has been failed.

I have recovered the photos via photostream but am always desperate to find one or two movies that I shot. Any thoughts?

Never mind... For some strange reason, the photos have been transferred to the location of default images.

  • Deleting files with full XP format utility

I used the full format on a hard drive external to try to remove my old files.  Now I wonder after reading online if this in fact deleted these files, or if they can still be recovered.  I have more the hard drive, but I would like to ease my mind that I have reason to believe that the buyer can try to recover my old files.

Yes, the files can be recovered.  the best way to ensure that the data can never be found on a hard drive, is throw in a volcano or in the middle of the sea.  but most of the time an ordinary computer user will never see the remains of old data.  Should a particular expertise, unique and challenging software.

    Hello

As you are not sure of what you have removed for cause of your problems, I suggest that do you a system restore to a date before you start deleting these files, and then start carefully again, before to remove any file of dual control.

How to make a XP system restore:

    See you soon.

3 cannot run "restore." When I do, he wants to restore my AUDIO files!  I tried restoring the system through the optimization of PC

    4. having reinstalled Windows XP twice, with the same results

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.

Office 97. You do not delete the programs. You uninstall using the installation, accessed by selecting Start, Control Panel, add / remove programs.

Can I delete files from diagnosis with damage them my PC?

    1. What is the problem you're having with your computer?

2 of diagnostic files are. what type you referring?

    3. did you run any tool Diagnostics Microsoft recently?

Note: Windows stores the various different system event logs and cycles of programs running in the operating system, there are some log files that you can safely remove and then the system would be recreate them. However, some log files are required for the operating system to maintain and read\review on a regular basis, if these log files are modified or deleted their dependent program may not work correctly.

You can run disk clean up utility in Windows Vista as a safe way to compensation for temporary data and delete logs such as system error-recovery and dump files.

    Delete files using disk cleanup

    I hope this helps.
  • How to ensure a permanently delete (shift + delete) file has been deleted and is not recoverable with advanced software

Hi experts, I cleaned my harddrive using shift delete but also normal deletion and then empty the trash. I do so I can prepare to be sold on if I find a moment (and buyer).

I am told however that this actually does not remove the files but brand only as "too accessible writing." And that it takes a while - depending on how much has been marked to be deleted permanently - for these files too write.

How can I make sure all the files I want to permanently delete are not recoverable with advanced software?

How long would it take to write too say 20 GB of data?

Your feedback is very much appreciated.

    Rgds,

    WV

Use Google or Bing to search for 'file shredder' or 'secure erase' software which will overwrite files with random patterns of data, making them unrecoverable by most of the efforts.  HOWEVER, please keep in mind that no matter what you do, away from physically destroy the hard drive, there are always ways to recover files even if these files have disappeared in a secure way.  That's why U.S. Federal agencies requiring a high security have their hard drives shredded into metal fragments when they have access to computers.

  • delete file after sending an e-mail with an attachment

    Hello

I looked in the forums and have not found any reference to it.
I need to send an email with an attachment that is source via a form.

The problem I'm having is that when I include the code to remove the file from the directory, the intrusion via cfmail is unable to run. When I do not include the code to delete the file, it works fine.
    Any ideas?

I tried with paths, physical and virtual.

You need give time for email to send.

Figure 60 seconds or 60 seconds more your spool interval (if the coil is on (on))-whichever is greater.

It would be preferable not to delete the file here.

Set up a scheduled task that deletes files in the target directory that are, say, older than 24 hours.

  • I want to copy all my jpg files to another directory (a portable hard drive) with some of the same names of JPGs, but not necessarily all. What will happen? The word 'COPY', will be some of the deleted files be added or nothing at all.

I have a LOT of pictures in my computer (over a thousand) and I want to put them on a portable hard drive, I bought (1 terabyte) but I won't write any of the names of existing files with different images. IS THIS POSSIBLE? Do I need software or special hardware? I tried the copy/paste standard as well as move files to the new directory, but it seems that I can lose files. I'm not sure if the files that are missing (or lack, in my opinion) are not copied. When I finished emptying the directory, it shows that it is empty but the new directory does not seem to have any additional files that should be there based on the counting of the files before and after.

Thanks for any help you can provide, Bill

1: right-click and then drag the pix on the external drive. Release the right mouse button and choose copy here. They are there?  Now remove it from the computer.

2: you can see pix of the same name overwrite each other, or be done with (1), (2), etc.. But even in this case, they will be interspersed with the former. If keep you them in separate folders with different names, that should not happen. Personally, I rename all the pix before storing them. You can select the set instead of the code of the camera and a group, rename the first holiday 2009 yo and the rest will be renamed holiday 2009 and each havf will one (1), (2), (3), after them.

It is also a nice freeware tool which, among other things, can rename a group of photos easily.
