Deleting the files for installation on Mac
So for the past few weeks, my Mac suddenly began to slow down to a point where it is unusable, and I have to force quit. Then, it's all right, until it happens again.
So, I opened my activity monitor to check to see if something was using any high CPU or memory. Under both, I found 3 files named "Installer" that used 90% of my memory and CPU! They were currently only when my computer was working extremely slow, however. So, I stopped and now I left them, you can see the memory/cpu usage down almost 90% to 5% usage. Of course, I know this should not be the case, and their abandonment seems to work, temporarily... Files back about twice a day, and I have to repeat the process.
It isn't a huge deal, now that I found what is causing the spike of lag, it's just annoying to have to open the activity monitor all the time and be ready to close the installation files when the lag spike occurs. It happened to me several times as he tried to take notes in class, which can cause a lot of headaches trying to get my computer facing up and running in a short period of time.
Anyone know what this could be due to leave? Every time I close among the installation files, so I thought they would have gone, but they seem to keep coming back. It's very strange.
Try to start safe mode (press on and hold down the SHIFT key during startup)

Cannot delete the file on my Mac
I feel so frustrated at the moment. It's my computer and my files and sometimes it says I don't have permission to delete or it is used when it is not because it is the first time I have connected the player via an ethernet cable.
I don't know if he connection via ethernet cable makes a difference. I searched the net and cannot see messages about how to empty the things you cannot delete from the trash. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Sorry, I'll try and be a little more specific. The I'm trying to delete files are video files and projects related to the soft of Adobe. When I try to delete the file, it indicates a specific folder with videos is in service. I did not open this file or folder for more than a year.

IM TRYING to re - INSTALL WINDOWS VISTA ON MY T-6321 to the front door, BUT WHEN I INSERT THE DISC, AND INSTALL, a MESSAGE APPEARS SAYING: WINDOWS cannot OPEN THE FILE D:\Sources\Install.wim REQUIERED. Make sure that all required files for installation aare available and restart the installation. Error code: 0x8007000D, SHOULD ALL BE ON THE DISCALREADY?
Hi JRCLNSIN100,
Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.
We would like to get some more information from you to help solve your problem. You better, please answer the following questions.
· What is the disk you use to reinstall?
· Is this a recovery or reinstalling the disc you are using?
· When exactly do you get this error message?
· What is the edition of Windows Vista, you try to install?
· How old is the drive that you are using?
· How are you starting the installation process?
After researching the error 0x8007000D code is essentially due to file corruption and a problem with the drive itself.
First check if you have scratches or dust on the disc and clean the surface and try again.
To check if the disk is wrong, you will need to copy the contents of the DVD to the hard drive and try to install using that.
To perform a flat installation of Windows Vista, follow these steps.
Note The hard disk must have at least 3 GB of free space on the disk for the Windows Vista installation files. The hard disk must have at least 15 GB of additional disk space to install Windows Vista. For more information about system requirements for Windows Vista, see the Microsoft Web site at the following address:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/products/windowsvista/editions/SystemRequirements.mspx
- Insert the Windows Vista installation disc.
- Start Windows Explorer.
- In Windows Explorer, click to select the drive for the Windows Vista installation disc.
- On the Edit menu, click select all.
- On the Edit menu, click copy.
- Click to select the hard disk you want to contain the flat installation files.
- On the file menu, point to new, click the folder, type Windows Vista Setupand then press ENTER.
- Double-click the Windows Vista Setup program, and then click Paste on the Edit menu.
- Double-click Setup.exe, and then follow the instructions that appear.
See the link below for more information on flat installation.

This problem can also occur if the firmware of the DVD drive is defective or obsolete.
If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you install the latest drivers for the DVD player on the computer.

Download the correct files for installation of v 7
Hi all
I would like to download the relevant files for installation of version 7. I went to the system page 9 but I cacnnot see the server hyperion essbase in English. It is in other languages such as German, Spanish etc. but not English!
I think I just need customers and admins of essbase Server services. I did have exposure to install 7 so if I need anything else let me know. I'm much more familiar with 9 and I am aware 7 don't have HSS.
Thank you
NathanHello

history for deleting the file files
My NAS is full. I want to save my laptop.
Historical files doesn't let me delete the files from the dialog box.
Can I find the location of the file and delete the backup manually? I can't find it.
If so, what is the path?
The only way taken to delete older backups of file history and recover the space is this link "clean versions". You can also use the options on this page to set the automatic cleaning.

Add, change and delete the file "iTunes" on a NAS
I have just said "Apple Support Community" by Apple Support.
The title probably sums up what I'm trying to do. I'm looking for a way to add, change, and delete files on a NAS.
Hardware: MacBook Pro 15, 1 TB of storage, 16 GB memory, OSX El Capitan.
NAS: Qnap TS - 453 has: storage nominally 16 TB, up to about 5 TB. 4 WD 4TB disks in a RAID 5 configuration.
a Vaio WIN10 as well as a smaller MacBook (my wife)
The purpose of the NAS is to provide a backup system for computers and act a server "iTunes."
I acquired the NAS after the death of my WD MyBook live in December 2015 after five years of reading backup and "iTunes" to my computer and the Sonos system.
After two months of 'getting to know you' with the NAS, I finally managed to configure the server "iTunes" and Mirabile Indo-European it works! I'm just doing the SIN to a back-up for computers.
Now for the question: I am looking for an app (for lack of a better term) that will allow me to add and remove files to and from the NAS "iTunes" folder
My search for a solution so far has indicated that:
(1) NAS' iTunes folder is not really true Apple iTunes and
(2) I need something that is DAAP (Digital Audio Access Protocol) friendly, that would allow me to add, change and delete the files.that would allow me to add, edit and delete files.
I'm not looking for something that would synchronize the files iTunes NAS to one of my computers, I am all prepared to do myself if necessary.
If I can't find an application so I use the app 'Brute Force' change my Mac iTunes required records and download again to my NAS.
Why do you need an app to put the files in a folder on the NAS Server? Make them just above in the Finder. Maybe I'm missing just your problematic here. Do you mean add your PEMA files to iTunes? I've never used this file format, but kind of, I would be very surprised if iTunes supported it.
the NAS iTunes folder is not really true Apple iTunes
I don't understand what you're trying to say here. "Apple iTunes" is an application. Yes, a folder is not an application.
Be warned, we see not few messages from people that use iTunes with a NAS. Often the problems cannot be explained. sometimes just iTunes and NAS disagree togther.

Pop-up window automatically downloaded a file to my laptop. I deleted the file in my downloads, but how can I be sure I have removed completely?
If you know what has been downloaded, I would use EasyFind:
https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/easyfind/id411673888?MT=12
In addition, I would like to launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac:
https://www.Malwarebytes.org/Mac-download/
These steps will not guarantee that all items have been reomoved. This is possible only by backing up your data, erase the HARD drive and then reinstalling the OSX and your data.
Ciao.

My dell PC crashed then I followed the news online & tried to reinstall windows XP from my original CD. However, the keyboard & mouse stop working when the installation gets to the 33 minute section which requires me to a box on the screen. I saw tips online who says lets you check the setupapi log & delete the file question (s) that prevents the installation but it required that use you SHIFT & F10 to enter the command prompt screen, but my keyboard is isolated at this time. So I went in the recovery console (I think it's the command prompt)? but I don't know which of the listed commands to use to perform the advice. I would be very grateful for help.
Thank you
Repair installs being problematic, I would not waste any more time at this stage. You are ready to perform a clean installation?

There are two ways to compress files in windows. Zip files and built-in file compression. It's built-in file compression. For more information on compression type zip in Start - Help and Support .
Photos, music and video are already compressed. They can get larger if Windows tries to compress it any further. Also usually a bad idea to compress system files.
If you have files of worksheet they can very well be compressed. If you have files, installation files, they can also be good candidates. Web pages are also good candidates.
In Windows Explorer, blue file names means Tablet (it is the file system compression not aka zip files compressed files). Green filename means Encrypted.
To disable file names colored, in Explorer - Tools menu (Alt + T)- display tab and then clear the check box for Show encrypted or compressed NTFS in color .
Windows compression, encryption and security to work for the most part by applying attributes to a folder and the files in the folder inherit the folder.
If you have all the files appropriate for compression, find them in solution, made Explorer right click - Properties - general -Advanced button tab - Compress contents to save disk space. Choose to apply to all files and folders when asked.
To use a command line to compress the files in the Favorites folder.

What happens if I delete the files in the Temp folder in Windows 7?
What is happening in the windows--> Temp folder in windows 7, and if I delete the files there, that will be a problem? I want to free up the disk space of 1.8 G, but can't find any info anywhere of the consequences of deleting these files, what they are for, or how they got there. Thank you!
In general, it is safe to delete anything in the Temp folder. Sometimes, you can get a "Cannot be deleted because the file is in use" message, but you can just ignore these files.
For safety, do your Temp directory deletion right after you restart the computer. Sometimes a program installer will put something in the Temp directory it needs to complete the installation after a reboot. If you restart and wait a bit so that they were, whatever left in the Temp folder should be OK to delete it.
If you want to be conservative, use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool (type of cleaning disc in the search box). If you select "Temporary files" as one of the elements to clean (deleted), by default, that Disk Cleanup removes only the files that have not changed in 7 days.
