Deletion of a specific color

Hello

I want to erase a specific chart, like a white background, color without using the Eraser tool. Does anyone know oh to achieve this in a simple/fast way?

Thank you!

Gustavo

First: Thank you very much to all for all the contributions. I find these forums "save lives." What a great learning resource.

(1) Eraser Classic plugin: very nice. I'm adding to my bag of tricks . It seems that we should not spend time to play with the settings and pass back to verify results (like anything else, right?).
(2) I also tried playing with "transparency of interlacing" when you save the file as a GIF in FW. Work to a certain extent.
(3) I think having the best chance going around and removing the colors in the GIF palette. It took some time, but the results where better (at least with the logo I work with) than the previous two methods.

I have not tried the method of masking still in http://www.pixelyzed.com/pixelforge/removebackgrounds/. After a quick read, sounds like it may still be the approach that produces cleaner results, although there are a number of steps involved.

Thanks again for everyone. Keep up the good work over there.

Best,

  • How can I find when we use a specific color?

    I have a document that shows that three distinct colors are used: black, 541U of Pantone and Pantone 7544 M.  Using the separations preview, I can see (and disable) black and Pantone 541U, so I don't know what elements are using these colors.  No matter what I do, I can't see, or find item that uses the M-7544.

    I tried to use the "Delete unused" action script, and the color remains, so there must be SOMETHING to use it on the page, but I can't find it, can't select.  There is only one work plan and a single layer, so it is not on a hidden layer.

    Is there a command in Illustrator CS6 (Windows version) where I can select all objects used by a specific color, so that I can delete these objects?  If not, how can I get rid of this color?  I need to get rid of it before sending it to our platemaker, otherwise the platemaker will show that the plate automatically, wasting money.

    Claire,

    How about creating two objects and apply the M 7544 as line color one and fill color to the other, and then have each group selected, then select > same > stroke color / Select > same > fill color?

    Which should display all objects using whatever it is, so you can remove the or whataver you decide to do with them.

    What they do they mean?

    UH... with a degree of difficulty? I never saw a "specific list" of what the numbers in the video limiter translate, so no help with that.

    shooternz or SAFEHARBOR11 might have some thoughts here and perhaps RameezKhan could help tech... but for that kind of specific thing, running ScopeBox on another installation of the monitor is that most colorists do to check this kind of thing. It is designed to give you good numbers of techniques & such.

  • Specific color object will not come to the front.

    I created a logo in Illustrator and saved as an AI. When placed in an inDesign document, one of the objects in the logo goes to the rear and refuses to come to the front. If I copy and paste the logo from Illustrator into Indesign is the same question. If I use a different color for the object in the logo and brings him to the then it works, but if I try to change the color to what I want in inDesign it automatically sends to the back and refuses to manifest. If I recreate the Logo in inDesign and use specific color, I need, it sends the object to the back. In addition, there, it's not transparent or blending modes applied to all the.

  • Is there a quick way to change a specific color in an image without masking or select an object?

    Is there a quick way to change a specific color in an image?  I mean, for example, slecting an object in the image and change the color of the object which may involve masking, etc..  What I want is a quick way to change the bokeh or part of the bokeh from an image to a nicer color.  Maybe something like help of the color picker to choose a specific color in the image and to be able to change all the colors with this exact value (hexadecimal number)?  Not sure if I explained it very well.  But I'm looking for something more specific while playing with the color sliders - I want to be able to choose the exact color for areas of interest of my image.

    The description you give is something that Photoshop does, but Lightroom does not.

    You can use Lightroom to brush an area to have some white balance, but this seems different from what you are trying to do (and it is not "fast" anyway)

  • Is it possible to limit an image to 256 specific color?

    I've been at this for hours with no luck, so maybe someone here can help me out...

    What I try to do is to open the image and change the color mode so that it will limit the colors in the image for specific colors I selected (and edit existing colors in the image for closest matches you in the colors that I've specified). The closest solution to you, I have found is by selecting the colors indexed, choose a custom Palette and entering the hex values for the colors, I want to be used in the image. The problem is that the indexed color option limited to 256 colors and the color scheme, that I need to access includes 454 specific colors. Is there an option that gives me the same result as indexed color, but allows me to specify more than 256 colors?

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    You can use trace Illustrator.

    Illustrator:

    "To control the colors in a trace.

    Create a swatch library that contains the colors you want to use in the follow-up. (See to create libraries of nuances).

    Make sure that the Swatch Library is open, and then click the tracing Options dialog button in the control palette. Otherwise, choose the command object > trace > tracing Options.

    Select the swatch library name from the Palette menu, and then click Trace. »

    I don't think that the number of samples is limited to 256. for example the Pantone Coated (maybe an older version)

    contains samples of 1142. That said, the vectorization can handle so many shades must be tested.

    By the way: the number of plates spot is limited (28, or more)

  • Action to change specific colors

    I am creating an action to change two specific colors in the files of different logos of ~ 300 (.ai and .eps). I just Photoshop so I guess that there is a way to create a droplet of an Illustrator Action, but that is a different issue.

    The colours are Pantone 143 and 287 that have to be changed to 143 you and 287 U, respectively.

    Here are the steps that I think I need to save for my action:

    • Unlock all layers
    • Add new colors to the Board of swatch
    • Select all layers
    • Recolor art... (Edition-> Edit colors-> redefine colors work... This step is not recorded?)
    • Save file

    The problem is that the step to redefine is not saved. Can someone explain what I should do to create this action correctly?

    JavaScript is the answer. I found this somewhere a little while back. This script changes Pantone 133 to 101. It can be modified to apply to all other Spot colors.

    This script requires that the new color and old color exist in your Swatches palette before running it.

    #target illustrator

    var docRef = app.activeDocument;
    with (docRef) {
              var replaceColor = swatches.getByName('PANTONE 101 C').color;
              for (var i = 0; i < pathItems.length; i++) {
              with (pathItems[i]) {
                        if (filled == true && fillColor instanceof SpotColor) {
                                  if (fillColor.spot.name == 'PANTONE 133 C') fillColor = replaceColor;
                        }
                        if (stroked == true && strokeColor instanceof SpotColor) {
                                  if (strokeColor.spot.name == 'PANTONE 133 C') strokeColor = replaceColor;

                        }

                        with (stories[j]) {

                                            with (characters[k].characterAttributes) {
                                                      if (fillColor instanceof SpotColor) {
                                                                if (fillColor.spot.name == 'PANTONE 133 C') fillColor = replaceColor;

  • Specific color blur

    Is it possible to jam a range of specific colors at first?  Curved and three way color corrector RGB have an option of color correction secondary where you can dial in your color range you want to select, which is great!

    But is it possible to do the same thing with a blur? I want to choose a certain range of colors, skin tones in my case - and just blur that extend.  You probably already figured out why, but I have to do, is soften skin that is a little rough and I like to keep the project out of AE if possible.

    Well, you're already on the right track...

    V1: Your original video clip

    V2: Another copy of the clip + matte key Track Matte Luma and Video set 3 + blur of your choice

    V3: A third copy of the clip + CC effect of your choice with CC secondary isolate color/saturation you want to blur and mask the output value

  • How to find an object/text using a specific color? HAVE CS4

    Hi all:

    I have a very serious problem. I built a doc using a custom color palette, and then I changed the colors in the palette and modified also all objects and related graphics to the new palette.

    But there is one obsolete color still appearing in my color chart, and I can't remove it try all known ways.

    Therefore, there must be at least one thing that still use this color, hidden hidden somewhere.

    I tore up the doc apart, as well as all the docs of linked graphics and still can not find it.

    Is it possible to find a doc for something else (text, path, object, etc.) that uses a specific color? Less, then, I can find the darn thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    I think that these can be useful...

    Method 1:

    Draw a rectangle with the color box. and go to Select > object > same fill color or Select > object > same outline color, then you can find the similar color objects.so you can easily remove.

    Method2: (If you have acrobat professional)

    Create a PDF file and open this file PDF Acrobat Professional. go to Advanced Options > print > overview of overprinting, keep there only that color. then it shows where you used this color. so that you can easily remove

    hoped it, would be useful...

  • Question about the Texture of the paper, distressed Edge and a specific color overlay

    Hello!

    I searched for the answer to this question without luck so far - would love to hear if anyone knows how I can do this!

    I try to combine a texture of watercolor paper with a border of sponge (as much as I do) and then having the watercolor paper corresponds to a pantone color specific of my palette.

    When I superimpose a color on white paper in one of the blending modes it seems not good. Is the same for setting the opacity of the color so that the texture is evident.

    I feel that my question is not clear, so I'll try to summarize in screencaps!

    Adobe Question.png

    I'm trying to make the texture in a color mark, so I don't have clearance for the color to a lighter shade, etc.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you very much!

    Texture and color in blending mode multiply, order should not issue. Then load the edge as a layer mask.

  • Script that allows you to select a specific color coded layer?

    Hi guys, is anyone know how to find a layer in the layers palette using its color code?

    I did this action for Photoshop for stacking of layers on top of each other, basically, it aligns one

    layer to another, regardless of their position and their size. Here's a demo, how it works: http://vimeo.com/13713886

    Action research the target layer through its specific name, using a script simple .jsx. In this way, the order of the layers in your document is not serious. However I don't want to rely on the layer or appoint action and thought that it can find the layer via color coding

    I would be really happy if someone can write a script that will search through all the layers in the layers palette and select the color coded one.

  • Track of the position of a specific color using the webcam

    Hey guys, I'm desperately need assistance. I am extremely new vision LabView module and have found dealing with the last part of my main project. I am using a Microsoft lifecam to follow a green circle that is attached to an object. My goal is to be able to press a button (Boolean) and freeze an image, this image for only a certain color output of the filter and highlight the shape. And then once the image has been frozen, store a bitmap and overlay on a video stream in real time to try to recreate the position. Seems fairly complex and I know that I am deeply in above my head, but what I really need is a video output real time, then the output position of when an object there. I search for long on different methods people have used and not found much that applies to what I'm trying, probably because of my lack of experience with the program. I joined my current vi and a picture of what looks like the filter. Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

    See the attached example.  I just used the particle analysis stage to find the position of the colored object, then superimposed an oval in the same position on the live stream.  I hope that this will put you on the right track.
