  Hello this is my first post and experience with a Blackberry. I bought a 8310 and Rogers put the old SIM on my moterola inside phone. I noticed there were only 10 of my clients address on it that I discovered only on the registration of the sim card from recently ti. I thought time for a fresh start and deleted contacts and progressed to all my contacts with their addresses, telephone numbers, E-Mail addresses add inside. I asked the guy at Rogers how to save them, and he said you don't need to save just for a sim card, go back to the computer. I then progressed to enterall info. For more hours than I care to admit lol. THEN I started to have problems on the phone. Today I brought back and they gave me a new. Before I put the Software Desktop manager and saved, when I did a restore with the new Blackberry only 10 original customers were there. I called Rogers and they said to go in restoring to the ptogram file and click on desktop and on the backup file. On the left, it shows 129 files of addresses, but it's not black and grey so I can't transfer the info to the phone from the computer. Can I still get the old phone, but I have to retype this information again? It's a huge amount of double work. Please HELP lol!

  OK I just talked to Rogers and they said that the option where I'm stuck is not available on some models. They said I might be able get the old phone, drop th info in Outlook Express and then resume this phone and get my other phone and delete the info from Outlook to the phone! PHEW! Wish me good luck!

  Can someone tell me how to remove an email address of a BB 9900 please? I have tried all means to remove the e-mail address were unsuccessful. Now get very frustrated that the phone needs to have information deleted due to the sale. Have managed to delete all the information outside of the email address.

  Hi Nathalie,.

  If you want to sell your BlackBerry, the best way to ensure that all your info has been removed from the phone is to go to Options > Security > Security wipe. Check all the options (assuming you also want to delete the info on the map), then type "blackberry" when you are prompted, and then select "Device Wipe".

  This will delete all data on your BlackBerry Bold 9900, ensure that all your info is sure to be intercepted by the next user.

  I am a very new BlackBerry user and have a problem with my contact list. I imported contacts from my address to Mac addresses, and they imported a list of contacts to my contacts from Lotus notes. Instead of integrating the two lists, the phone has created two separate lists. When I try to search for a contact, it seeks only to one of the lists (imported Lotus notes). How can I incorporate these two lists or is it possible to delete all the contacts at once, without having to do one at the time and the re-importation of Lotus. (Lotus has all the contacts that are synchronized in both lists now). Thank you for your help.

  Hi and welcome to the forums!

  I think you must have a Windows PC to run the Desktop Manager program to clear the address book.

  You would be better served to resolve this position and open one in the Blackberry for MAC forum.

  You get more users with MAC expertise and respond accurately.

  I have curve blackberry 9360 a few weeks ago, I've just updated OTA... I didn't notice new features but a few days ago, I was about to delete a music file (which was I copied from my computer and downloaded from free file-sharing sites) of my music player and tada , there is no way to remove them from my music library... I tried to use the file manager, but delete also went there, tried to press the "Del" key, but no luck... I am able to delete the pictures and videos, but only music is not, why is this?

  I can't remove it through my camera because the folder "music" (which is automatically created by my phone) has read-only attributes... I tried to change it in my pc by unchecking the read-only properties option, but my phone continues to set this folder read only... and so what I did is I create another folder named "music files" and put all my MP3s, so I can now remove from the file manager and music player...

• Software storm update deleted purchased apps and blackBerry Smartphones?

  Hi all - bit of a newbie here so is hope someone may be able to help

  Last night I updated my BB via usb cable and software office software.  When I did this he removed everything on my camera - comes into contact with the lot.  Then I used the function to 'restore' and most back and didn't try to do anything else with it.

  All the applications that I had bought and downloaded have since disappeared however, and I do not know how to recover?  I got a few games to bplay.com and managed to get reactivated, but applications purchased through the BB application world disappeared - which makes it worse, is that I bought only one last week!

  Miss me him now my application of slider storm that I paid for and also a booster dose of memory (I think it was called mem boost pro).  I went to my little "House" of the BB app world and no download appear here.

  I am not prepared to pay for it again (although they were not expensive - the cursor of the storm was about £2.15 and recall memory about £8), but I don't think I should have.

  Can someone provide advice on how to get that back on my device?

  In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
  3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.
  4. Use the link to user guide AppWorld above for re - install the app - then predict a new activation/registration key

  When I delete an email on my BB, it is sometimes said, "on mailbox & handheld ', and sometimes it just says: 'delete '.  Why the difference?  What I would like is if I delete your handheld it removes Server messaging as well.  How do it always gives me this option (if that's even possible)?

  Jesse, you have more than one e-mail account set up to push to your BlackBerry?

  Go to your main messages folder > Menu key > Options > Email reconciliation.

  Set your preferences to delete it for each e-mail account.

  Highlight the first entry and hold the upper button (aA) and scroll until you have highlighted the list and select Remove.

  If you upgraded to a Bold 9790? Have you restored all your request you have on your old curve using a switch or your backup device Wizard?

  You can to think and have to remember for all applications after which issue appeared, or remove all applications from third party of your device, restart your device, then install a fresh copy of each application from BlackBerry World. But one at a time, it will help you understand the application of guilty. It might be a device or operating system with any installed application compatibility issue.

  I had to have mine replaced. I got home and probably intervened a couple back. Mail works generally, but I want to get it's completely clean.

  I have 3 email accounts, but when I look at my records, I show 6 of Inbox. That's probably because I did a restore from a backup, then when my mail didn't work, I deleted the accounts online and added, then I entered my new info on the device. Basically, I have 3 files orphans. My end result is 2 files per account, but only 1 is synchronized. How to remove the folders Inbox 'yellow '?

  When I look at my service books, I show only the 3 accounts being synchronized, which I guess is correct. I have just wnt to get cleaned up. I can remove the accts and service books and then add them again, but the 3 files orphans remain. Any suggestions?

  Couple things you can try for your Facebook messages.

  First of all, on the device FB app, go to the notifications area and make sure that all messages are deleted from there.

  Then, go to Facebook on your PC and make sure you have deleted all messages there too.

  Take out the battery of your device for a few minutes and see if the notifications went to restarting the device.

  Hi I'm new here.

  Last night, I noticed that there are only a number 2 with a circle to the right and in the circle is an arrow pointing downwards and a red dot at the top of the arrow.  It is in this sport where you would see if you have right to voicemail in the day and date.

  Has anyone seen this?  I got my phone over a month and this is the first time I saw it.

  The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

  To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.
