XP Professional leaves crushing once I installed Internet Explorer 8

I installed Internet Explorer 8 XP Professional and has been prompted to restart. However, eversince then my computer crashes whenever I try to start. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

Good.  Now you have found somewhere.

This error indicates a problem with the NTFS file system or driver (I doubt this is the driver).  Take another look at the screen but and just to be sure, that there are no other clues (ignore the boring text).

If I saw this, I create the bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and run chkdsk /r as described previously.

Hoping for the best and planning for the worst, sometimes (often with XP Home) you will be stuck enter the Recovery Console administrator password (the default is no password which is the Enter key), I'm ethically cannot help you here to bypass security to correct this problem.  But I think if this happens and you had to do some searching on Google you would have surely met another type of bootable CD that you create which could allow you to clear the administrator password.  There is a difference between hacking/reset a password and a password of compensation.  You cannot delete the administrator with the Recovery Console password.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!
