Dell 2005FPW screen

Hello

I have three monitors 2005FPW, including one, I bought recently.  However, when I turn a picture of a padlock appears in the center of the screen and I can't switch between applications of the screen.  I must point out that I don't have an instruction mannual for any of the three monitors.   I tried to go through the system from Dell, but kept getting kicked while my Tag was not recognized!   Can someone help me out here... Thank you

Royc2409,

Only the 27 "and had more service tags. The manual is no longer displayed. I don't know why. To unlock the controls of the monitor and get rid of the lock, press and hold the Menu button on the monitor for about 15 seconds.

(Dell LCD) screen goes blank when I connect.  Requires power to the power on and off screen, at least 15 to 20 times before picture stays on.  Any suggestions? No to the problem site so don't have the model numbers.  Dell computer and about 8 years.

Looks like your monitor is having problems sync-ing for the resolution settings that you have defined for your monitor.  When you get your screen is displayed, right-click on an empty area of your desktop-> properties-> (tab) settings.

Then, in the 'Screen Resolution' area, try to move the cursor to the end of 'Less' and click 'apply '.  It will then try to change to this new resolution.  If your screen is empty for now, just wait about 30 seconds and it will return to the previous resolution (which can mean that you need to power cycle your monitor you have done to get it back)-otherwise accept the settings if your display looks OK.  Try to find a solution that works with your monitor.  It is also possible that your monitor is going bad.

  • Start stuck at the Dell logo screen

    Hello

I have an inspiron nine 5447, which was working fine until yesterday. If I try to start now, it's just stuck to the Dell logo and I can't go in the BIOS settings. I tried pressing F2 and F12, but the screen is still stuck at the same screen of the Dell logo. Can someone help me with this.

    Thank you

    Nikhil

    Hi Nikhil,

External devices (except AC adapter) connected to the computer. If so, disconnected the and try to turn on the computer.

If it's the same situation, and then turn the computer off. Key down, then and now the power of FN key on the computer.

In the case, the computer is blocked at the Dell logo. It's a hardware problem, contact Dell Technical Support in your region to replace the parts.

  • Laptop Dell - blue screen of death - CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION caused by driver: ntkrnlpa.exe

    Hello

I searched for a solution to a major problem, as we have seen with some Dell systems I work with.

three models who know that exact blue screen: Dell E6430, E7240, and E7440.

Every accident is due to random, indicating the following:

    Bug Check String: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

    Bug check code: 0x000000f4

    P1: 0 X 00000003

    (the others are always different)

    Caused by the driver: ntkrnlpa.exe

    Address: ntkrnlpa.exe + dedd8

    32 bit OS/processor.

So far, we tried the following:

Update the BIOS of the systems to the latest versions.

Update the version of the driver from the hard drive from the site of the manufacturer (not one Samsungs)

Replace most of the internal parts (motherboard, RAM, CPU) with known work of Dell parts.

Recreate the image on the computer entirely. (re - install windows, but still receive the error re-)

In the end, we end up making a complete replacement of the HD.

We carried out Diagnostics using a few tools (SMART data reading using SpeedFan) and it is not to report all errors. We used the Dells built in the diagnosis on the RAM, hard drive and nothing seems made of any hardware failure during testing of large 4 hours.

I was wondering if someone had met these blue screens on other systems, and what other tools and resources, we could use to try and fix these without doing a complete system replacement.

The most recent crash in this issue is 29 October so it may not be the same as the current problem

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

  • Attach a new TV to my desktop Dell flat screen

I have a Dell Inspiron 580 (March 2010) under Win7 Home Premium SP1 installed. I'm running 2 monitors with NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT graphics card.

I want to set a new flat screen TV through the HDMI ports on the TV and the computer. I can't see the TV from the computer. Cable and the TV that all HDMI ports work so either to the computer's HDMI port is faulty or the version of Windows 7 is unable to stand the TV... or maybe the NVIDIA card is involved.

I think it could be put in place so that I can direct the output from the computer to the TV or the 2 monitors. Maybe it's time for a new computer?

Yes, you need a new video card that has a HDMI port.

  • Reference Dell D600 screen grainy (red)

    Hi all

I had trouble with a Dell Latitude D600 laptop computer. I photographed the machine with an image that we use for our other D600s Dell and there seems to be a problem with the video drivers and wireless. I was able to find the right driver for the wireless, is not one posted on the Dell Web site however.

Whenever I have start Windows with computer red streaks start showing on the desktop. I know that this is not a hardware problem (or rather hope not) because BIOS looked normal and I uninstalled the driver Radeon 9000 and he returned to the Standard VGA adapter, which although blurred showed without streaks. I'm went to the Ati site and downloaded the driver update and still experienced the same problems.

I was wondering if it was a quirky graphics card and how I would discover it? I tried utilities such as DriverGuide Toolkit, but they stressed the Mobility Radeon 9000 card. Any suggestions?

  • My Dell screen opens but my OS does not load

I tried to boot in safe mode to maybe make a system restore, but once I chose my OS black screen fills only to halfway to the top with file allocations, the last being listed is a pilot, then everything just stops and lies, I tried safe mode prompt to manuelly enter a restore point same result. I did not have any windows CD even a boot disk, I know that the operating system is Windows XP home edition [I know it's old] I know not what service pack was finally installed. I have my desktop to download and burn property. Oh yes my laptop is one in place. I even touched option "last known functioning blah" same result, in order to take me from here, can you tell me where I can d/l a boot disk, maybe try this way or help me somehow. Oh yes, I even went to the symtom of the dell F12 screen tree and all tests passed. Past the same one who is named after my specific problem "OS does not load" test lasted a little more than 2 hours and as I said, I don't understand, but I don't know I need to get at least one more time and send me some files or burn at least they are very extreme inexplicably signifigant.

    Thank you

    Sincerely,

    Standby,

NO disk, move it to the bottom.

You want the cd/dvd-rom on top and the hard drive listed then, then the order is not serious.

With removing usb devices listed earlier, when items are fixed, as a printer with a card inside, iPod, etc., the computer tries to boot from them. Is usb all devices are removed except for the keyboard and the mouse, the computer should boot normally.

Make these changes in BIOS allow you to keep the printer and the attached iPod.
