  • Dell Latitude E6400 LCD / LED video screen has partial display of vertical lines

    Hello

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 on which display LED screen / video shows the stable vertical lines in the right half of the screen (partial view on the left side is good, see photo). I have already tested the external VGA port - it is displayed correctly on an external LCD display. The vertical lines are constant and the same brightness, regardless of the position of the lid of the laptop. This could be a problem with the inverter or the water of the LED screen? Or something else? Thanks in advance for any comments.

    P. S. Please note that glow Golden on the top left of the screen is just a reflection of ambient light.

It is not the inverter (assuming that the display has a);  who simply controls the backlight.  It may or may not be the cable - it's not likely.  It resembles a billboard damaged.

  • I hope to find a solution to the problem of the video screen FOR the dell latitude 10 Tablet

    Hello

I have the dell latitude 10 Tablet

I have a problem in the video display device and especially if the video is HD with precision
Video is very slow and "forced" terribly... I'm surprised this problem.
Formate worked for the device is not not to solve the problem... Experience the same video on the w510 Acer Tablet and it works fine
Fact the imbalance of the is the problem of my camera... or what specific problem... Help, please

    Hi ALI IBRAHEM,.

If I understand you correctly, HD video playback problem has been resolved by installing the driver Pack for the user installing Intel.

To control the imaging (Webcam) of Windows 8 machine does not need to install the camera application. Windows 8 operating system has 'Camera' app. You can access the application 'Camera' of the start screen. In case you are not able to see the application of the 'Camera' on the start screen, you can download it "Windows Store Apps".

    • In the start screen, click the tile 'Camera' to open the application
    • If the app invite you to use your camera and microphone, choose "allow".
    • Adjust the settings, if desired
    • To take a picture, click anywhere on the screen
    • The camera app saves all your loving photos and videos in a folder called "Camera Roll" in your photo library.

Answer please if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to help you.

  • Dell Latitude E5500 screen dark

    Hello

Bought a Dell Latitude E5500 off of eBay. The laptop is fully functional, but has problems with the brightness of the screen. When I go into the BIOS, I go in the video settings and the brightness of the screen. I have reset the BIOS default and activate the max battery brightness level and apply. This solves the problem for about 5 min and then goes back to decrease intensity. I heard someone on one other site mentions an inverter problem and would like to know for sure.

    Thank you!

  • Screen turns black during the installation of Windows 8 on Dell Latitude E6400

    Hello

    I have a Dell Latitude E6400

    The specifications are:

    Intel Centrino 2

    4 GB OF DDR2 RAM

    HARD DRIVE 160 GB

    Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz

    NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M 256 MB DDR2

I'm doing a clean install of Windows 8 pro 64 bit. The problem is that when I get to the stage where the installation application to connect to a wifi, all of a sudden, the screen goes black and then nothing happens. Sometimes I am able to move on to the next step where the installation process asks if I would like to use express settings or customize it. The same thing happens on this stage too. I could not go any further than this step.

I tried dozens of times, even tried 2 different iso files and event tried a 32-bit Windows 8.

Same thing happens evrytime, black screen and then nothing. I wasn't able to find that everything related to the internet.

One last thing, if it's a problem of display driver, I can't set either because I already formatted my HARD drive.

Can someone help me please:(c'est vraiment frustrant.)

    Thank you

    Hi shayanjalil,

Dell Latitude E6400 has not been tested by Dell for Windows 8. You won't find drivers of Windows 8 for this system.

  • Primary hard drive 0 not found Dell Latitude

    Hello

I just bought 2 notebooks of Dell Latitude D800 with no operating system. The first laptop is fine, but the second, when I turn it on it shows the Dell screen with the loading bar. The loading bar is to halfway to the end when it freezes. The system freezes on this screen for about a minute, then it beeps twice and a black screen that says:

"First hard drive 0 not found '.

No bootable devices - don't strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for Setup utility.

So I go into the BIOS and see under "internal hard drive" and he says: 'no '. I checked and make sure the hard disk has been activated, and it is.

I took the hard drive and reinstalled it. Nothing. The drive is a Toshiba 40 GB. In addition, mention, the reader makes a weird noise (not the click of death) and the hard drive on the laptop stays on all the time.

Other D800 I mentioned boots very quickly and displays a no. OS screen, which is very good.

    So is my dead HDD?

    Thank you

It is quite clear that the BIOS does not recognize the hard drive.  I suspect that the IDE controller on the motherboard has failed.

Given that you have two cell phones similar to fool around with, probably the fastest way to isolate the problem is to swap hard drives.  Call the laptop that does not have one and one that works B

If the laptop has now boots and cell B now is not, you know that the player who has been to A is bad.

If A laptop computer still does not start and portable B boots again, then you know that the two disks are OK and the problem is the motherboard or the connector of the drive in the laptop.

  • Boot Dell Latitude problem

Turns on when I start my laptop (a Dell Latitude D610) he displays that page load with the Dell icon, but it just goes to a page is black with the _ blinking in the top left corner and not keys working that they just beep noises and F8 will not start in safe mode (I sat to watch as the screen black for more than an hour and happened past)...
Someone knows what to do thanks in advance.

    Hi Taylorg,

If your computer beeps short one or two before starting, this is normal and your computer tells you the BIOS startup succeeded. If your computer beeps and does not start, a more serious hardware problem probably occurs.
A beep code means generally that a basic function was not able to start. A basic function could be reading memory, video display or be able to send information on a hard drive.
The most common problems that cause the beep codes are memory and heat-related failures caused by an accumulation of dust in the critical areas of cooling.
Check these conditions on your laptop and see if that helps fix the problem.

  • Paint & Print Scrn compatibility-Vista Ultimate & Dell Latitude E6500

    Greetings,

New laptop and new operating system so wholly unknown to the waters here.
On my recently deceased but beloved Toshiba Satellite, I used to click on 'Print screen', right click and paste in Paint. The print screen (Alt + Print Scrn on this computer Dell Latitude E6500) not to paste the image into Paint.
Any ideas as to how this can be resolved? Is it a matter of 'Dell '?

    Thank you

Non-techie, check if you need to press the fn (function) on your laptop before you press PRTSCN, you can tell if they are both the same color blue.

When you press ALT + PRTSCN, you capture only the window, when you click Print screen capture you the entire screen. Then, you press CTRL + V on your keyboard to paste. Rami
