Satellite A60 freezes when running on batteries
Hello
I have a problem with my Satellite a60. I bought it a few months ago and he starts it freezes when running on batteries. I don't think it's a problem of software or memory. I did a few tests of memory...
It usually occurs only minutes after startup, the keyboard is not working, the screen freezes (but you can still see the immagine!) and only the exit ramp button works... but it happens sometimes... like once a week maybe... anyone else had similar problems?
Thank you for any response,
Radek
Hi guys
It is very difficult to say what may be the problem. In my opinion, there are several reasons for this. In the boot process, there may be some conflicts with background programs and services or certain hardware components. May be overwhelmed with all this processor and simply give up.
If you wish, you can try to disable some startup items in the system configuration utility or disable certain hardware components not used in Device Manager. I don't know if this can solve your problem, but it will be interesting to know is there some success.
Radek did you have this problem if the laptop is connected to the power supply?

Satellite A60 - BSOD when you surf with Wireless PCMCIA card
Hello, I used to browse the internet with a cardbus wireless WL-54-CB (ADVANCE) on my Satellite A60 - 120 running windows xp sp2.
Well, I was working until I decided to clean my computer, which has been slowed by viruses. I use Ad-aware and Kaspersky and update patches on wndowsupdate. Now, the PC is clean but I have problems with the PCMICA card, when I run IE I surfed for a minute and windows crashes BSOD!
It displays:
STOP 0X00000001 (0 X 0, 00000002 00000001, 0XFE570000, 0X819587DE)Any ideas to fix it?
Thank you.Hello
I think that this BSOD is related to the issue of software.
I mean that the missing QFE or the update could be responsible for this BSOD.I assume that you installed your OS manually.
What about the Toshiba Recovery CD? It would be very interesting to know if the same happens with the OS from the recovery CD.As I remember on the recovery CD a few patches are preinstalled, which fixes a few bugs. Eventually, one or more fails on your operating system.

Satellite M60 freezes when I play games
Hello
I bought a satellite M60, since 6 months ago.
Somethimes when I played a game (Diablo II: LOD) then the phone freeze after 1.5 h.
But only when I play games. Please help me.
(Sorry my engl. is not so good because German Ia´m)
Hello
To me, this looks like an overheating problem.
It s a fact while playing the games the CPU and any other devices works with maximum performance. In this case all devices produce heat much and the temperature rises.
If the cooling modules not run successfully if it possible of s the device freezes or stopped without any warnings.
In my opinion, you should check the fans and try to clean it with a vacuum cleaner. -
Satellite P500 - freezing when inactive, the his and other questions
Hello
I have a Satellite P500 (bought in January) with Windows 7 and I've always had and some problems with it since I bought it:
-First of all, my serial number is not for the toshiba Web site, which is annoying when I want to update my drivers. In addition, automatic detection does not work. And when AI attempt to manually select the model, the only available is the "P500-1GN' (I'm sure that my model is just"P500").
-Second, sometimes, when I don't touch my computer for a few minutes/hours, it freezes and I can't do anything on this subject, I just reboot it. Sometimes, I take just the mouse, the cursor still moves but I can't click on anything and 5 seconds later, the cursor hangs also. Another time, I was chatting on Skype (voice chat) without touch to the computer and when I will come back, the seams of frozen screen, I couldn't do anything with the keyboard or the mouse, but I could still chat with Skype.
-Thirdly, I also have some problems of sound. When I listen to music and do nothing on the computer, no problem. But if I do something (like go on inernet, copiing files, etc...), I have some very annoying noise interference. I try with the speakers and headphones, it's the same thing.
-Fourth, less annying, then the others. When I type a text on the keyboard, somethings, the cursor from writing just go somewhere random in the text (it happens twice while I was typing this message...).
I tried to do a factory restore. Also, I have a version update of Avast, Spybot and Comodo Firewall, but I can not find the cause of these problems. I am wandering if I should ask for a replacement or something...
So... can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
Oh and sorry for my bad English.Hello

LOL: D didn't you notice that the Toshiba driver page contains the series of laptop and has no lists the unique laptop models?
Satellite P500-1GN is a part of the series PSPGSE call with P500 PSPGSE> Second, sometimes, when I don't touch my computer for a few minutes/hours, it freezes and I can't do anything on this subject, I just reboot it. This may be related to different issues; problem in the system, memory problem, etc. graphics driver problem
However, check the advice posted by Akuma; try disabling the USB selective suspension tuning"in the Advanced Power Options> Thirdly, I also have some problems of sound. When I listen to music and do nothing on the computer, no problem. But if I do something (like go on inernet, copiing files, etc...), I have some very annoying noise interference. Update the audio driver is worth a try

I had the same problem with the cursor, but it wasn't a really a problem. This is the reason why the cursor jumped around I touchpad the touchpad accidentally while typing.

Satellite A60: Overheating during running game
Hello
My beginning of A60 to overheating since yesterday. I read on this forum that this problem can occur when the fan is not working properly. However, the fan never stops and today I worked all day with Excel, IE, Outlook and a financial and accounting application and despite the heating have been abnormal it stop only when I tried to run a game (Age of Empires) and when I tried to clean the disc.
Is any possibility of problems with the RAM or the graphic representation.
Thanks for any light on the night in Lisbon.

Laptop freezes when running applications
I got a G6 Pavilion - 2263ca with Windows 8. When I open an application on the start screen, the laptop freezes and closed. I ran a system recovery and all the system diagnostics, but nothing has changed and I can't find a hardware problem. I sent it for repair in the workshop, they replaced the HARD drive and reinstalled the OS but nothing changes. Right now, all I can do is reinstall the RAM, but seriously, I don't think it will solve the problem. Please help me :-(
Hello
Try the following.
In regards to the manual maintenance on the link below, delete one of your memory modules and then see if the laptop works Ok. If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location. If it is still working properly, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to run without freezing.
The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed from Page 55 of your & Maintenance Guide.
Kind regards

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Satellite C660 freezes when WLan connection to WPA encrypted networks
Hello everyone
I have a toshiba satellite C660-A259 (Middle East version).
The laptop is great, but it has a major problem.
Whenever I try to connect to WPA / WPA2 networks, laptop computer freezes completely during the connection, dragging me to hard it boot.Sometimes it connects to wpa networks then hangs after some time, or with success connects but freezes on stop. However, the laptop connects without problems to networks with WEP encryption, without any security or via ethernet networks.
The wireless network adapter is Atheros AR9002WB-1NG.
I tried to update the software for the adapter on your support site, but it did not work, he did the wireless not working not at all, so I used sytem restore to return to normal. Please help and thanks :)
> I tried to update the software for the adapter on your support site, but it did not work, he did the wireless not working not at all, so I used sytem restore to return to normal.
Can you please tell us what is normal? Is the State of natural plant or perhaps you use your own installation of the OS? -
Satellite M30x freezes when I remove the power adapter
Whenever there is a change of power freeze my laptop, I've adjusted the Toshiba power management software, still does not work.
So, I formatted the laptop and tried to reinstall the operating system (Windows XP Home edition), while loading the driver, the drive stops to acquire, (freeze). So I'm using a recovery disk (for a series because I n t I m) and tried to restore using a power source (AC), now it connects and then restart... asking for some pilot...
Using a recovery of another model drive is not a good idea because drivers can be very different and cause problems.
I would order a replacement from Toshiba drive. If it freezes again so try a BIOS update. If this is no good, then the equipment may be defective.

I have an A200 with Vista on it. I used the torrents to download the stuff I need. Initially, I used uTorrent. Once I had a problem each time I started downloading my machine makes freez and I had to reboot the system.
I did a fresh install of Vista and I still have the same problems. I even tried BitTorrent, Bitcommet and many others, but all have the same problem.

You have this problem only with Torrent downloads, or if you download something with Firefox or Internet Explorer too?
What antivirus do you use? Have you installed a second firewall?
