Dell A940 - suddenly no power?

My A940 stop working after a hardware error: 0502 message appears on the display. He has lost all power and turns on again. I removed the printer cable and the power cable, reinstalled, but no luck. So I replaced it with an another A940, we had like backup - same problem. Tried to print but hardware error: 0502 on display and then no power.

I cleaned the rails of the cartridge, removed and reinstalled all the cords of the two units. Any ideas as to what is happening? The two units were purchased new from Dell.

SOLVED! It's the A940 #1 unit power brick as I had suspected - and stated in a post later. For security measure I changed the cable to printer as well. All works fine now with A940 unit #2 with the help of #2 and printer Cable #2 bricks. I'll try using the power brick of #2 in A940 unit #1 unit and see if unit #1 comes back to life.

He's alive! He's alive!

    Hi STEVE,.

  • printer Dell A940 does not print not since upgraded to windows 7

Updated from XP to windows 7 spending years trying to get my Dell A940 print victory says no driver installed. Had the driver, but will not print continues to go to print

    Hi Frank,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Not based on printer model information you provided, there is no driver available for Windows 7. Most programs written for Windows Vista also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows does not work, you can try changing the compatibility of the program settings, either manually or by using the program compatibility problems. I suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers and to consult the suggestions in the link below:

Download Windows Vista drivers and install in compatibility mode

Make older programs in this version of Windows

There is no Windows 7 for the A940 drivers and Vista drivers are not compatible with Windows 7. You need a new printer.

My pc turns off suddenly when I'm uploading photos in Facebook. Why?

Overheating, driver problems, and many others.  What are your having seen or heard before shutdown? It happens at any other time? Look in Event Viewer to see if you can see any represented pattern that would cause the stop.  Is this a full power off shutdown or a blocking of the screen or the BSOD?  Describe please.

  • Reference Dell P2311H stuck in power save Mode

    Howdy,

I have a Dell P2311H monitor that I bought a few years ago and everything worked perfectly until recently, when I upgraded my desktop computer (non-Dell, I built it myself). I have a Setup dual monitor and my P2311H lost the signal and stays for only in its energy saving Mode. When I press the Menu button, it tells me that there is no signal and press a key or move the mouse. He acts as if there is no signal on the screen through the DVI cable, but there's a signal because my other monitor works on all DVI ports.

    Performed troubleshooting:

    • I've been looking at other posts on the forums and none of them have been useful, because it seems that the solution to their problems is something simple. I know this isn't a loose DVI cable or cord.
    • Finally, I know that it is not the video card because my other monitor works in two DVI ports.
    • I know that it is not the cable, because I tried to use another work of my other monitor DVI cable.
    • I also tried to use the onboard graphics on my motherboard, and that does not work either.
    • I even tried the monitor on several computers and several video cards and it still will not receive any signal.
    • I tried to hold the power button for 5 seconds, but nothing happens.
    • I tried the 1 & 4 button to get the menu diagnostics, but he won't. The only menu that I can get is the Menu for Auto, VGA or DVI input selection, but change has no effect on the monitor.
    • It is not a problem of sleep with my computer because my computer is fully functional and works perfectly with my other monitor.
I have not tried the VGA port, but I have a VGA cable on order and will try that soon as well.

    Here is my system:

    Dell P2311H 23 "monitor
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    Intel Core i5 - 3570K
    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 560 Ti
    ASUS P8Z77-V Mobo

    Thank you!

Hi, thanks Babita. I actually already tried these things, but I got it actually work by using a cable with a VGA VGA to DVI. I went to the Manager device and scanned for new material and finds the monitor. I don't know why it started to happen in the first place because it was working fine with two DVI cables in my old computer. This does not always work with two DVI cables, I guess I'll have to use VGA and DVI

  • Dell XPS 8700 no power

Have a Dell XPS 8700 I bought in October 2013.  The other day while my daughter was doing her homework the Tower just closed.  Will not supply this time.  The green light on the back of the power supply does not light.  The led "Power to the" yellow inside the East.

When I press the button reset, next to green light, at the back of the power supply, the light turns on fans in the case operate one puts the optical drive.  So, it is the power supply or the card mother kaput?  Or is there some waay to put things?  Tried the thing "press and hold the power button / stop for 25 sec ' without success, and also left it unplugged overnight.

Remove the battery on the motherboard CMOS. Leave, try it for a few seconds then put back in. Try to start the computer after. The green light on the power supply goes off while the computer is not turned on. As the light does not illuminate and things go when you press the test button, your diet should be fine. It could be your motherboard, before we know try resetting the CMOS battery, as I mentioned above. I hope this helps!

  • Dell A940 stopped after the loud bang

I've never had a problem with this printer so far. I started to print a page and he started as usual to make a loud bang. At that time there long light and the screen came out. I cleaned the cartridge of chrome and the MICR band. When I unplugged the power and then plugged it back it tries to start, but has a low hum/buzzing noise and nothing else. Any help would be great I bought several new ink cartridges for the A940. Thanks in advance!

  • BlackBerry Leap Leap battery suddenly draining power VERY quickly

I bought a new blackberry leap July 26.

The battery has been fantastic since acquisition - was very impressed - get home at the end of the day and it is still about 60 percent, could still squeeze a second day without recharging at night, if I do not use too much the next day.

Suddenly, last Sunday (August 9), he began to drain the battery like crazy... and I was not still use it.  I did work in my house and my phone was sitting in the kitchen and I heard the notification that he had devoted to the battery in watch mode in early afternoon (after being fully charged when I woke up in the morning).

Since then, (yesterday and today too), he's bleeding like crazy.

I have fully charged it last night, it is now 1:30 and I woke up at 7:00, and is at 29% left battery power.

I haven't added new applications or do something different since Sunday.

When I go to "battery use" in the settings, it shows that the 'system' is with 51%.  The next most high is "Standby" 9.9%, then view at 3.4 percent.

Any help/suggestions?    I was so impressed by the battery until 3 days ago!

The software is 10.3.2.2168 (and I've not being updated since the day wherever I bought it when I did a software update).

    Thank you!

I wanted to give you an update...

No idea why / that that has happened, I have nothing else...

But when I connected again load after the validation, I noticed it drains more and had returned to the battery usage screen showing 1 + days of use and usage of the system went down at 0.86%, with display currently th ehighest at 1%.

Anyway, the good news is that it is fixed, of course, the bad news is don't know why it happened, or how he slipped, therefore keep your fingers crossed it doesn't happen.

Maybe just posting here is the magical solution!

  • Dell XPS 420-not power blinking yellow light lamp

I turned off my computer and when I went to turn back would not turn on.  The power button flashes orange and turned the yellow led on the motherboard.  I tried outlets and power cord of switching with the monitor without result.  I have also all disconnected devices.  Also, I unplugged the power cord and held the power button for 10-20 seconds without result.  Is there anything else I can do.  Also because it is almost 8 years old is it worth repairing.

    Randy24G

It still looks like a power failure

Replace the power supply, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would say, is a 4.

You can find the procedures on page 165, also read the section "before you begin" on page 99. Here:
