  I have a Dell Dimension E520 with an Intel Celeron 2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, Windows Vista 32 - Bit for about a year now and the speed of the processor. But with 1 core is not enough. I opened the case and found that the CPU is soldered in to the motherboard and what it is not replaceable, so I replace the motherboard with one that comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHZ. My question is what can I replace the motherboard on it and what kind of specifications of the motherboard will work with Dell Dimension E520.

  There is no motherboards, other than a Dell e520 OEM motherboard that will fit the owner e520 EOL BTX chassis, or y at - it available BTX retail motherboards.

  The Dimension e520 is the latest model of this series, Dell made.

  Only 65 processors with 800 or 1066fsb will work with the E-520.

  The Q6700 should work, but before installing the processor, make sure you have BIOS version 2.2.1 [or more] installed, when additional CPU support has been added.

  Can I put a GeForce 9800 GT 1 GB hybrid on a Dell Dimension E520? I just bought a 500 watt PSU, so I'm sure that I have enough power, but I'm not sure if it will run on an E520. I don't know if it will take place just because I don't know what is hybrid. But I read that the PCI Express 2.0 x 16 will work on motherboards with just the PCI Express x 16.

  Hello, I have a Dell Dimension 4600 older XP. The hard drive is dead and I replaced and then reloaded pack 1 with the intention of making all the revisions on the internet. The problem is that I cannot now connect to the internet via my broadband router directly connected to the computer. It seems that the wizard to connect only wants to use the dial upward and does not connect to the router. Just recompose.   Recently, I did a clean reinstall of Windows XP (home edition) on my Dell Dimension 2350. Everything went well. Now, I need to install the appropriate drivers. I have the Dell resource disk and this is where the problem starts.
  As noted elsewhere, after reinstallation of that display on the screen of the disk resource is as it is in 'Safe Mode '. I was aware of this. Therefore, the search criteria screen resources drive was a little bigger than the screen of the monitor. I managed to its size to fit the screen, but this really isn't the problem, is the following: the search criteria options I have in the dropdown menus (on screen) are the following:

  You need, in the order of installation:

  1. Driver Chipset
  2. Video driver (depends on what video card)
  3. Audio driver
  4. Network driver (depends on who you are)
  5. Modem driver, if you are using a modem

  A work of a Dimension 4600 motherboard can be used, provided it is in a usable state.

  As the Dimension 4600 is obsolete for many years, I doubt there is very no new motherboards available, only the so-called "renovated" boards, which are 'pull system '.

  The Core 2 Quad Q9505 Yorkfield 2.83 GHz LGA775 95W shown in your link is not compatible with the e520.

  All Socket LGA 775 processors, listed HERE are compatible.

  There should be no need to improve the power supply for a processor upgrade.
