Dell Geforce GT 635 for Optiplex 780smt compatibility

Hello

I have a friend who has updated the video card in a Dell XPS 8700 and is willing to sell me the old one (Dell Geforce GT 635) for a cheap price, but I'm not sure that it will work in my Optiplex 780 Minitour (255w power).  I currently have a Radeon HD 5450 installed that works very well - no problem, but my friend says that the GT 635 is a much better card.  I'm not really a gamer - serves mainly as HTPC and some games such as Diablo III.

Thus, this card will work OK in my computer or not?  I don't want to lose my time and damage as well as risk if the card does not work in my Optiplex 780.  Any help, ideas, suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Sincere thanks,

BG

I just pulled the 635 my XPS 8700. It is a very small and uses very little current. No connection of power supply is necessary because it attracts no more than 35w. I think that would be nice in your system.

    Hi tedhebert,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your request. The nVidia GeForce GT 635 has a VGA, HDMI and DVI port. Few of these video cards can also be shipped with only HDMI and DVI ports. Check the image that a (blue) VGA - HDMI (in the middle) and ports DVI (far right) below:

If the second monitor does not DVI/VGA/HDMI ports, you will need to buy an adapter DVI - VGA or HDMI-VGA adapt accordingly.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/OS-applications/w/wiki/4149.Dell-PowerEdge-server-support-for-Windows-Server-2012-and-its-features.aspx

And 'X' means that the long-term 2012 Windows: error memory consumed, Collaborative processor performance counters, logic processor idling, compatible device name are not supported on this server. Only SR-IOV future is supported?

    Thank you

That is right.  Consumed memory error, the processor performance counters Collaborative, idling logical processor and compatible device Naming are only available on generation servers 12.   Server 2012 will take place on the T710.

IBM systems, if yes please how it works

Yes. Dell's Optional backlit keyboard in their laptops. But, you must configure online for some models and it is available in some models directly. To turn on or off the light, you can use the function keys. They cleent/key combination varies according to model.

For a clearer understanding of the activating/deactivating the light as changing back the degree of brightness and other settings, see the operating manual supplied with the laptops.
For desktop computers, you must go to third-party manufacturers like Logitech.

    (a) make a right click the icon of the file installation.

    (b) click on properties, then click on the Compatibility tab.

    (c) select the compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2.

    (d) click OK.

    (e) run the installer.

Note: After installation, run the program in compatibility mode Windows by doing the same thing with the installed program.

GPU-GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2015)? Yes or no?!

Hello. I would buy GIGABYTE GPU GeForce GTX 970 4 GB but I can't find the map on the website of Adobe system requirements. What GPU will work for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2015)? Is activated GPU acceleration? Thanks a lot for your reply and advice in advance. Martin

They tend to cards list itself more, as they did... so they list the requirements for cards that work with the programs. Who are a minimum of 1 GB of vRAM and a few other things. As the production of internal software of the card, which is like a '3.0' or whatever and all 900-series cards are way beyond that... so with a 4 GB of vRAM card, the other issue is the number of cores CUDA has?

Current recommendations are to stay above 1 000 CUDA cores... .and most 970, I've seen are listed with hearts CUDA along 1600... so it should be good. I myself use a 970 GTX w4GB vRAM. Now... a good GPU does not in itself and make an editing machine who shouts, as only certain things go by the GPU in PrPro in any case. A bad can certainly slow things, however.
