Dell Inspiron 17 broken audio Series 5000

So the other day I had a microphone, it did not work on my laptop, I decided to download the audio driver from Dell to make sure I had not missed an update or anything. He did not the microphone works (it's a good deal * mic anyway), I wasn't super surprised by this. What surprised me, it was after you download the driver from Dell, site of Dell, the sound coming from my speakers has been cut from the 2/3. So now play the audio must be done at 80-100% volume rather than 20 to 30% as before. Is there a way can I fix? After all, it's happened only AFTER using Dell provided software.

Is there a way can I fix?

If the audio driver that you have installed the Realtek driver, go into Device Manager (Device Manager type in the search box in Windows), expand the category sound controllers and right click on Realtek High Definition Audio Device, to open the context menu.

Click Properties, click the tab 'pilot' at the top, then "restore the driver. This process should cancel the installation of the new driver and re-install your previous driver. If this does not work for any reason, you should be able to do using Windows system restore if there is a restore point before installing the new driver as the.

The functionality "rollback driver" is there just because it is not uncommon for new drivers, which are fundamentally non-tested software, cause problems. Because the audio drivers are more finicky than most drivers, I do not recommend an update unless there is a problem.

On the microphone, if your laptop has an audio port simple combo (I don't know because I don't know his full name model - there are five or six i17 5000 models), then it won't work with a regular computer microphone - with a smart phone with microphone.

Good afternoon. I hope I'm in the right forum.

I have a Dell Inspiron 20 model 3052 series with a cracked screen. I need to know if only the screen is replaceable or if the screen with digitizer needs to be replaced.

Also, is there a source to get an approximate cost.

    Thank you in advance,

Well, there are always Dell spare parts: 1-800-357-3355. Have your number of practical Service.

I doubt a broken screen is covered by the warranty, assuming that your warranty is still valid. But you can also contact the service out of warranty repair of Dell which should be able to tell how much they would charge to do the replacement in their service center.

  • Dell Inspiron 1420 none audio internal speakers.

    Good day, everyone.

I have Inspiron 1420 Vista 32 of my brother as a gift. He had before and said he had sound from the moment he bought, but later (he doesn't remember when) the sound just disappeared. I reinstalled the system to the factory settings (press F8 and then restored from the recovery D: drive). No audio through loudspeakers. However, I can hear everything if I connect my headphone via jacks-audio connectors. I reinstalled the drivers for the "drivers and utilities" DVD. Same result. I downloaded the two drivers from the download page of Dell (R157031 and R167846) and tried one by one. Same thing. I ran diagnostic test (F12 >... > system > Custom > Audio Analog test and can hear the sound on the speakers.) I tried to remove the driver, and then restart the computer, so Vista can catch the new material and solve the problem, but after that the new hardware has been detected, Windows driver installed, the result is the same. I checked if the speakers are cut and they were not. I checked the control panel > sounds and saw 2 options on the digital playback, and speakers/headphones (with a green check mark) output device. Tried all the options, but still can't hear anything through speakers, but can through the headphones.

Guys, before I will let fall and broke it laptop, help. Please, I beg you. I'm sure the solution is close, just need advice.

    Jimco

I don't know about 1420. The 1520 has a taken audio daughterboard here, Reference Dell: RT882.

It says Vostro 1500, which is the same as the Inspiron 1520. There is a phone number you can call (1-800-357-3355) to see if it is also for the 1420.

    Good day Jimco,.

I am very happy and proud of me, because I did.  I did it. I did it.

I fixed the sound. Yesterday, I spent almost an hour talking with Dell customer service, technical department and * knows who else and I got I need to replace my motherboard ($299). I couldn't find any info on the site of Dell Inspiron 1420 Audio Jack Daughterboard as you have shown to me, so I decided to see him personally.

Today, I disassembled my laptop complete with MANUAL DELL for INSPIRON 1420. NOTE from the ADMIN: Broken link has been removed / replaced this post by Dell > after I pulled out the mother board, I could find (YES!) Audio Jack daughter Board. I started to chat with Dell and spent an hour trying to explain to them, this girl for Inspiron card exists and that I hold in my hand... I showed them your link... I wanted to just buy the card Audio Jack daughter at home, but they have checked my service tag, asked me if I have waranty, where have I bought this laptop... So, accordingly, I have no help from Dell.

After that I gave up on them, I put up any piece of aluminum foil, touch my problematic jack and then assemble everything back. And VOILA! Everything is fine. I have a sound input of the internal speaker, I have a jack for headphones, a disabled jack and a microphone jack. TADA!

Thanks Jim, for your attention and support.  I am really grateful for your help.

    Thanks again. And good luck.

  • Dell Inspiron 3442 Maxx Audio problem after update of Windows 10

I have seen a lot of posts on this same problem with Maxx Audio in Windows 10, however, I tried to fix it by trying different solutions, that users have given and I had no chance. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled the Dell expects W10 and Maxx Audio controls do not work. Someone said that they have installed the old drivers for W8.1 and it worked again, I tried it and the controls are there, but when I try to disable Audio Maxx, it does nothing and I close the window, open again and the bar is activated if, it turns off. No idea if I'm doing something wrong? It's a problem very annoying for me since I work with many audio and now it sounds just awful! :(

Much to my anger and regret, Dell didn't send any form of notification NO update to the platform Windows 10 and I did, then reverse it after seeing what a nightmare Windows 10 has, however, not only is now my audio DOES NOT WORK, but my departure to the top and stop sequence is ruined as well as on my laptop Dell.  I tired many times to count to reinstall the drivers for the audio, but it doesn't seem to recognize the audio driver of Dell on Microsoft which is also... UGH... Help... I WANT ONLY THINGS TO WORK AS BEFORE...

  • Windows 10 caused a power failure internal repeated at Dell Inspiron 7000 series (7548)

Hello. I got a Dell Inspiron 7 perfectly good Series I bought 6 months ago.

Windows 10 was just installed on my laptop and about 10-15 seconds after I log in there is internal an error - power failure. It happens every time.

It's a little ridiculous. It does not resemble a system restore point is recorded by Windows 10 so can't retrieve Windows 8.

    Some tips would be great.

    THX.

There is a problem with the driver for the secondary graphics card. I disabled it and it fixed my problem (for now). It's just a temporary solution until Dell and AMD meet. I'm upset that Dell announces that PC as being "Windows 10 loan" when it is well obviously this far from it.

  • Dell Inspiron 5000 Series (is it ok to let trendy or not because the battery is intact and cannot be deleted)

    Hello

This dell inspiron 5000 series for use with batteries that can not be delete. Once its full do I have unplugged and just plugged in a time vacuum or simply leave it plugged? I want that its battery to last longer.

    Thank you ~!

don't know what type of battery you have. but, I spent time to research on my machine before you purchase it. and according to a bunch of Web sites, the most recent (not sure how much newer) lithium cell batteries have a much longer lifetime, unlike those of 4 or 5 years ago. and the Dell machines are made so you can leave plugged in as much as you want. because as soon as the battery is recharged, the battery is not circumvented, therefore no wear on them when it is plugged.

hope that it will be quite simple.

  • New laptop (Dell Inspiron 14 5000 series) with really bad internet

Hi, I bought a couple of new portable weeks. the laptop as you can tell by the title is a dell inspiron 14 5000 series. It includes the pilot is an Intel processor dual band wireless - 3160 AC. The problem I have is that the internet is very slow. I get 1 Mbps when I'm in my room, but when I stand right next to the router, I get my normal Mbps which is 20 Mbps. I did some research on the resolution of this issue and the most common responses I got of to get a wired connection (if I do that, I might as well have a pc) and download the new driver (2 x 2). I also changed my HT Mode for people with reduced mobility that works, but the internet connection is really bad (5 Mbps). Now my action is to obtain a new driver, but just to be sure there is a way to fix my internet connection?

I know this isn't the internet from the internet on the other laptops work perfectly fine. And I'll be back on the laptop but unfortunately my 2 weeks are up.

Return the machine if you can.

The problem you are having is a common feature of this series of machines from Dell. Dell staff does not recognize the problem and no solution is guaranteed. Just search the forum for yourself.

Thank you very much for your answers. As you suggest, I went to the help/updates and found that 3 points were scored update, Manager, 13 Photoshop and first elements 13 elements. On a hunch, instead uncheck one of them, I thought I'd see what would happen to let update all 3. It took a while, but, long story short, stopped the happy Vangogh and everything seems fine. I checked the battery meter and battery is charged to 100%, and the counter shows that it works normally. The laptop is only a few months old.

I saw another post that suggested restarting the laptop with the cable disconnected. I'going to try that next.

Please provide the model number of Dell; Example: Dell Inspiron 3543

In the meantime, I suggest you turn off the laptop, unplug the AC adapter / CC and all devices. Remove the battery and press the "Power On" button for 15 seconds, then release. Replace the battery, AC adapter, then turn on the system. If all goes well, there is not a light orange.

Have you thought about asking on a forum of Dell? You can get better answers.

In the meantime, I would recommend a virus scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware. And if you provide a list of programs on your system, we might be able to give recommendations on what you can safely remove.

More RAM might help. Go to Crucial.com and run their upgrade analysis tool. Who will tell if they have compatible memory and give you some suggested upgrade configurations.

  • echo Dell inspiron 15 5000 helmet

I got a dell inspiron 15 5000 with windows 10 because I liked my last inspiron, but im having audio problems with headphones. I tried the headphones on my tv, xbox, playstation, phone and they its great. But when I plug them into my new inspiron I get this light echo in the back and it's music, movies, and almost anything sound terrible. I even tried different helmet and nothing works. someone knows how to fix this?

Solved. At least for my system:

On Windows 8.1 and 10, all the sound elements had an annoying "echo" that drove me crazy. Echo took place after about 20 ms and all software, including the audio test are in

    ' Configure the control panel-> hardware and sound-> Sound-> speakers / Headphones->-> Test ".

This was the test that I used to determine if the problem has been resolved.

    SOLUTION

In the notifications area (on the right side of the taskbar), find the setting "audio Dell." It should look like this:

Right click on this icon and select "Sound manager". There should be a setting under 'MaxxAudio Pro' called 'development of speaker. If you're like me, this will be set to 'On '.

Turn it off! (Or, if you wish, fooling around with it for a bit first. There are some pretty interesting settings here.)

I hope this has solved your problem!

  • Dell Inspiron 15 type jack and audio jack?

    Hello

I use Dell Inspiron 3542-4627, and I'm about to buy a new helmet. Since my laptop has a single input for microphone and headphone jack, and most of the helmets separated inputs microphone and headphones, I really need to know what type of audio from my laptop. How can I know if my laptop has TAKEN or TRS jack socket? I need to know this so I can get 2xTRS to JACK or 2xTRS to the TRS separator?

    Thank you in advance.

    See you soon.

    joa1101
2xTRS PLUG or TRS separator 2xTRS

2 x TRS of DECISION-MAKING. Any combo headphone plug is TAKEN, because the headphones stereo need 2 contacts, the mono microphone needs one, and it needs common ground, for a total of 4 contacts.

Struggling combo assume that a helmet combo (type smart phone) will be used with it. I think that the thought is that most people just want to make communications with their laptops, and that people who are serious about audio will get outboard audio interfaces for their audio needs of high quality.

You can try traditional computer headphones with a splitter, but we have received reports of mixture on dispatchers, with more people saying that they are not only working people who have had success. An alternative to a separator is an input jack usb audio. Those who provide ports separated for the microphone and headphones are cheap on Amazon and elsewhere, and may not be of the best quality. USB plugs have their own ADC and DAC, and thus a separate audio system of the built-in notebook Realtek audio systems.

  • Dell Inspiron 17 5000 trouble

Hello, I just got a new Dell, inspiron 17; and already used an Acer laptop. I currently have a pair of Turtle Beach headphones with microphone and it doesn't seem to be 2 ports from headphone output on this computer (1 for the helmet, one for the microphone) and there isn't a way for me to connect both at the same time as you can see. How can I make this possible?

    ajko1998_
If you could look at a picture of them to see what I mean

Hello. The person who told you yesterday, beamermt79, understood perfectly what you're talking about and you gave the right answer, you can't use your headset with your laptop, and he or she told you also that you might be able to use it with an adapter and provides you with a link to the adapters. I think you did not understand his answer so I'll try to explain it more detail.

Most of the helmets of today are made for smart phones. They did not 2 separate Sockets, one for the microphone and one for the helmet as all the headphones listening used to have. Instead, smart phone headsets combine the 2 Sockets in a single dose, called a PLUG Cap (which means tip, ring, ring, sleeve) and it looks like this:

Note that there are 4 contacts. One is common, one is the mono microphone, and two are stereo headphones. The jack combo in your laptop has contacts to match those of a JACK plug. The microphone of the headset plug has a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) plug and that is why it does not work in a plug combo. However, the TRS plug for the part of the headphone output of your headset will work into a combo Jack.

For some reason manufacturers computer now put these outlets combined in their laptops. I don't know if they are doing this because it's cheaper or because there are so many tablets and smart phones that use the helmets of DECISION-MAKING.

Anyway, as said it beamermt79, you might be able to make your helmet works by using an adapter. Adapters look something like this:

Note that the on this particular brand (helmet Buddy) jacks are color coded to match the records on your helmet. Jacks the jack accommodation 2 adapter plugs TRS, and then combine them into a single shot TAKEN. However a real big drawback is that many times this kind of cards do not work with laptops. I don't know why, but my guess is that the adapters change the impedance that Windows needs sense. Other devices without Windows do not use impedance detection so it's okay for them. So, if you buy one of them be prepared to return. To be as clear as possible, we received positive and negative reports on this kind of cards.

An alternative is to use an input jack usb audio. They look something like this:

This one is also color-coded. The usb plugs are fairly reliable and cheap and avoid combo altogether, but if you have 10 Windows, I have not heard if anyone has tried with this OS. A disadvantage for you is that your headphone already will have a usb port to draw power.
