Dell Inspiron 5000 Series (is it ok to let trendy or not because the battery is intact and cannot be deleted)

Hello

This dell inspiron 5000 series for use with batteries that can not be delete. Once its full do I have unplugged and just plugged in a time vacuum or simply leave it plugged? I want that its battery to last longer.

Thank you ~!

don't know what type of battery you have. but, I spent time to research on my machine before you purchase it. and according to a bunch of Web sites, the most recent (not sure how much newer) lithium cell batteries have a much longer lifetime, unlike those of 4 or 5 years ago. and the Dell machines are made so you can leave plugged in as much as you want. because as soon as the battery is recharged, the battery is not circumvented, therefore no wear on them when it is plugged.

hope that it will be quite simple.

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 10 do not pilot have native support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 10 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

  • laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc.

I heard that after a few years of use, Windows-based computers lose their ability to function. This happened to me before and I bought a new laptop. Now, I think that it happens again. The laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc... He is also declining my VPN connection occasionally, but also my direct connection is very slow. Latency shows speedtest software provided by the ISP in addition of 250 ms, download speed of 1 MB/s (compared with 8 planned) and 0.05Mbps download. The ISP has corrected this once, but I'm wondering now if it is the computer which is slow rather than on the network because my laptop works well on the same network/router. Is there one solution to this other than another new laptop?

    Jonathan,

You say that your computer is slow, but all of the examples you give are rather than slow computer operations slow network communications.  To avoid any unnecessary work, check how fast the computer is on the tasks that don't use any network.

If it works fine for tasks not network then you can concentrate on the problems of network as being the only concern.

It has also become very slow for no network tasks you should study other causes.  Just as an example: If, like me, you sleep / turn off the computer when you are not using it then defrag will never work, so you can run it manually to make sure that doesn't cause problems.   Describe your symptoms in this thread so that someone can advise on the best course of action.

In the unlikely case where you must run Dell Factory Image Restore, then the instructions are in your manual PC *.  Before doing this, run Dell Datasafe Local Backup then click on Backup, recovery to create - media allows you to create a bootable USB of the partition that you can use the normal procedure that failing Dell Factory Image Restore [to do this, even if you have already solved your problems so that you could face if the hard drive has failed never completely].

    * Procedure Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from the manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]

    1. turn on the computer.

2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.

    3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.

    4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.

    5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.

    6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.

Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.

    7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.

Note: If you do not wish to continue Factory Image Restore, click Cancel.

    8. check the box to confirm that you want to continue reformatting the hard drive and restoring the system software to the factory condition, then click Next.  The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes. • Kubuntu 14.04 on a Dell Inspiron 15 series 3000, 3542

Recently bought an Inspiron 15 series 3000, model is 3542. It comes with Windows 8.1

I want to be able to run 14.04 Kubuntu hard disk. It has no partitions.

What should I do (apart from backup) to (a) wipe windows 8.1 and (b) install Kubuntu 14.04

I don't have all the data on the hard drive, I use Kubuntu on a desktop computer. You have to pass all that he to the Dell laptop.

I don't have the CD 8.1 or Windows 8. It would be wise that I had it. Support Dell informed me that he is not for sale online, but I can call a number and buy this way.

You can download an ISO of DVD WIN8.1.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

If you have 8.0 and 8.1 not, you will need to use a generic key to install.

Then, you get the key in the bios and change to that.  The generic keys WILL never ACTIVATE.

BIOS Keyed win8 requires 64-bit support and must be home or Pro according to the label.

    XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB (Win Pro 8.1)

    334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT (Home Win 8.1)

Windows 8 keys are encrypted stored in the Bios that is installed at the factory.  There is no more stickers COST due to piracy. (OEM System Builder Versions Do maintain COA stickers)

Windows 8 is now comes with a real Microsoft Label there is NO MORE certificate of authenticity (COA) labels.

See the following examples of labels to look for.

    Changing color ink
The color on the label change is designed to change from one color to the other view from different angles,

making it easy whether it is authentic.

    Windows 8: magenta to green

Windows 8 Pro: blue to violet

    Windows RT: turquoise purple

    Real Microsoft labels
    You could try Belarc Advisor.

I don't know whether or not this shows the key. (Versions greater than 8.3 c display key).

    Windows 8.1 supports version 8.4

    • Browsers: Works on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and many others.

However, when you change versions by adding softpacks, you must save the previous keys because they are removed and replaced with the packs PRO and MCE.  But windows will not install clean with a pack update if you need the original key to install clean then do windows whenever upgrades to return to PRO or MCE editions.

If you want to add an external display, it is not a problem - HDMI is probably the best connector to use.

If you want to add TWO external displays, which can be a problem if your system has Intel or video hybrid.

  • Dell Inspiron 1750, Windows 7: HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GT10N not working after critical updates from MS

    I'm having a problem with my Player DVD - HL - DT - ST DVD +-RW GT10N.  I have a Dell Inspiron 1750, Windows 7.

It was working fine, then after 3 critical updates from MS, it stopped reading/writing on the DVD player.  The only way I can access the DVD (read or write) is to restart.  A subsequent loading of different or even the same DVD finished with the issue of not being able to recognize the DVD.

When I click on the properties of the DVD drive in Device Manager, it clocks.  However, after a reboot, the properties has worked well and said that the driver does not work properly.

I got to the period before 1st update was installed and the DVD player worked as before.  However, Ms. downloaded the same (I assume) updated critical shortly after.  Low and behold, the DVD player does not work yet.

The MS CD/DVD patch could not fix.

I also tried UpperFilters/LowerFilters regedit deletions, but it is impossible to find these entries (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116 > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}).  Thank you Osprey4 for your help continues.

I bought Dell Inspiron N4050 window 7 Home Basic just 2 months ago and since then had the Touch-pad problem, it takes a step that I must return to the dealer, I bought and they re - install back to the factory setting but the problem persists. This problem occurs most when charging the battery. Sometimes he just Zoom in the page and the unsolicited task etc. and this is very irritating. Pleas, help me... Thank you

  • I bought a dell inspiron 1440 without any operating system. What should I install first, the dell drivers or windows vista?

I use the windows vista installation disc supplied with my previous pc. I tried to do a clean install, inserted the disc into the cd/dvd drive. No installation window. The screen says "windows loading files..." After a few hours, the display shows something like

"" windows has not... error: file boot32.exe is corrupt or not found. "."

Then the Dell XP disc is great to use. However, do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    1. you are trying to install with other devices connected to the computer. Unplug them before trying to make an installation.

    2. "" "" defective installation media. "" Check the CD/DVD installation for scratches, tasks. Try another machine.

    3. bad optical drive. Test with another CD/DVD bootable or Exchange for a well-known work.

    4. faulty RAM. Test with Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. Burn the file with the third party burning software *-as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

    * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

    5. bad hard drive. Test with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr... You create a bootable CD with the files you download. Burn the file with a third-party burning software (unless you have Windows 7, that allows to record the .isos natively) - as an image, not in the form of data. Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. The physical tests fail, replace it.

    6. other hardware components are faulty.

Then you unfortunately discovered why the phone was for sale.
