Dell Latitude E6520 2 separate monitors with HDMI and VGA connection.

Hello

Is it possible to connect 2 external monitors to this model and (with the laptop screen) have 3 monitors altogether? Someone set up hardware hes like that before? It works and is ok with this configuration nvidia card?

Or is it only the opportunity to work with 2 monitors a time?

Any help would be great.

Hi all

I want to give back to the community a 100% working way additional conecting 2 moniors (maybe more even with docking station) and have 3 screens working altogether (2 outside and 1 notebooks).

3 things are needed:

-Intel HD graphics driver

-Nvidia driver

-Active Optimus in the bios

(set up in this order: activate optimus, install intel hd, install nvidia)

Make sure that the drivers are properly installed. Download driver intel hd dells site driver nvidia and the nvidia site.

As a result, it is possible to assign 1 monitor to the nvidia graphics card and other intel hd grapgics card 2. Then, it looks like this in config nvidia:

This works 100% :)!

Now, he is trying to connect as much as possible :).

Hope this help anyone!

  • trying to support a 3-screen desktop via hdmi and vga on the w530

    Hello. Can I extend my W530 Win8.1 display to a monitor Dell via HDMI or a HP via VGA monitor, but not both simultaneously. If I plug both monitors at the same time, then the HP goes to sleep and the Dell takes over the screen of the computer, without the possibility to extend.

  • HPE-240f blocked hdmi and vga?

    I have a HP #-240f.  VGA and HDMI ports have a plastic with "do not remove".  Why?  I need to use the double graphics.  I have two HP 2509 m monitors and what to connect them to the system.  All I can do is to use the HDMI TV card housing to plug one of them.

    Why does the VGA and HDMI?

    How can I add a second monitor?

    I read the articles and responses of "Bob", but can't seem to find an answer.  Please help a beginner to HP.

    Thank you

    Jim

    First of all, this is the card to your computer HPE-240f and your HP 2509 m monitors. "Stuck" HDMI, and VGA ports are Intel H57 chipset integrated graphics ports. These ports are disable when a graphics card discrete, like the ATI Radeon HD5570 which is included in your computer, is installed. The card that has a DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort output is your graphics card and not your TV tuner. Your monitors to 2509 m HP has VGA, HDMI and DVI inputs. Connect a monitor with a DVI cable and the other with a HDMI cable.

  • Toshiba 42WL67Z - no picture via hdmi and vga

    Hello

    After a power outage, my 42WL67Z (Regza LCD) no longer displays a picture via hdmi and vga.

    The computer receives a TV signal, it detects the screen when connected and offers the usual option (duplicate or prolong the display, screen resolution), but no image is displayed.

    The OSD works well.

    Ideas?

    > Ideas?

    I think that you first need to connect to another device (DVD player, Blu - Ray player, etc.) on television and must choose the right channel to enter the settings.
    If TV continues not to receive all the signals of such device, it means you have a hardware problem.

  • Latitude E6440 display blink when connect you to an external monitor via hdmi to VGA Converter

    Hi Dell Community,

    Please help me diagnose what's wrong with my new laptop.

    My laptop is Dell Latitude E6440, but whenever I connect external monitor to my laptop HDMI via HDMI port to the converter VGA, the external monitor still flashes randomly every two seconds. This VGA HDMI converter / works fine when I used it on the other laptop.

    Currently I still have the chance to try my laptop HDMI port to connect directly to a HDMI monitor because I don't.

    Is it that someone has the same problem with me? Thanks for your help.

    Dell currently manufactures replacements of main card to resolve this problem. They will be available at the end of July. Please make sure you have a current subscription and contact support to be eligible for replacement.

    Need the drivers mentioned above.  I installed virtually every driver available in the download for the driver page Inc. Control Vault and cannot get the two driver mentioned.

    Any help would be appreciated

    See security for the Unified Security Hub Broadcom (USH - probably a biometric reader / print) for the device that best matches your hardware:

    www.Dell.com/.../Latitude-E6520

    The other "mass storage controller"... go to Device Manager, right click on the device in question, properties, Details tab, change the drop-down list of hardware IDS and give me the VEN. and DEV ID (do the same for the USH device above if the related driver does not work).

    Unfortunately, I think you're out of luck and that's a bad system or storage (which is integrated into the system board). We purchased about 200 of these tablets for our school and saw about 30 of them give this error message or show the symptom that the light next to the camera turns on and stays on and nothing never seems on-screen.

    For those who this happened under guarantee, the only solution was to replace the motherboard - a part Dell keeps in stock, if you don't have an extended warranty. I tried several times and they never have a source for me to buy new.

    We were extremely disappointed by the product and not buy an another Dell Tablet in the future.

  • How to connect by Satellite L305 to TV with HDMI Cable VGA

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L305, running windows vista Home premium.
    I bought a HDMI VGA cable but when I plug my Satellite on my Westinghouse TV I can't get the two to connect.

    Please help me.

    Hello

    You try to connect to laptop (HDMI) to TV (VGA) using an HDMI cable to VGA?
    As far as I know this is possible only if the s for computer laptop HDMI port can be set to analog signal. As much as I know this option is not available in the BIOS or elsewhere.
    So if you want to connect VGA HDMI Digital common so I have to say; It won't work buddy.

    You will need something like HDMI to VGA Converter that converts the digital signal into analog signal.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6119wm HDMI and VGA works do not both together

    Good evening, I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV6-6119wm Quadcore with AMD Radeon graphics card, which includes a VGA port and an HDMI cable. Together they are so close that you cannot connect both at the same time, but as I needed this so much, I cut the part on the side of the VGA cable to connect the two: the VGA and HDMI cables. Now they are connected.

    The runtime separately, they work very well: HDMI works ranging from office with the laptop screen and VGA works too big office that stretches with the screen of the laptop, but I want to run the extended desktop on the 3 displays: the laptop display, vga and hdmi. I tried to put parameters "- display - screen resolution" on Windows7 and when I try to "Extend the desktop to this display" if she s HDMI If VGA is work or vice versa, I get: "cannot save the display settings.

    Is the function of the use of two video cards at the same time is available? So then I m something wrong on the parameters, and if not, I'll have to look for an alternative to the extension of the workstations.

  • HTTPS with Wifi and 3G connections

    Hello

    I have a code to open a connection https using Connector.open ().

    I check for the MDS coverage and, if not true to add deviceside = false to the URL I check for BIS support and add deviceside = false and ConnectionType = mds public, otherwise I check to support DIRECT and add deviceside = true.

    It was everything works very well if you use a SIM card with BB internet services activated. Even though it was not a mobile connection but Wifi available it would connect via Wifi (that I found on other forums it seems to manage it's "free").

    However, I got a problem when you use an Orange SIM card with no active internet service. Even if there is Wifi available it wouldn't connect. I then added '= wifi interface' and 'deviceside = true' for the URL and it connects via Wifi.

    This is my code

    if( _mdsSupport ) {
                name = name.concat( ";deviceside=false" );
            } else if( _bisSupport ) {
                name = name.concat( ";deviceside=false;ConnectionType=mds public" );
            } else if (_directSupport) {
                name = name.concat( ";deviceside=true" );
            }
            else {
                name = name.concat( ";interface=wifi;deviceside=true" );
            }

            return Connector.open( name, mode, timeouts );

    My problem is that when I use a SIM card with no internet service at all or with the 3G, they both return with _directSupport (IE. CoverageInfo.COVERAGE_DIRECT is enough) but then none of them will ever connect if I have the network of mobile telephony, Wifi, or both.

    With the SIM card with no internet service I expected to return CoverageInfo.NONE and try and connect via Wifi.

    With the SIM with 3G, I expected him to come back with CoverageInfo.DIRECT but it does not connect successfully.

    Please can someone help explain this? I tried it on a Curve 8900 and the Torch 9800.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Peter,.

    I managed to get all this work on Friday. Thanks for your other thread with information on making connections. Between your phone and the demo app he began finally to all the senses. Still do not know why this is all handled by the API!

    I have test to try, and then sign in using BES and BIS, then Wifi, WAP and finally direct TCP, but you're right that I have need information about AFN to define.

    Thanks again for your help. Your son has been invaluable.

  • HDMI to VGA connection?

    I have a laptop ENVY 17-j101sa and I would like to connect it to a VGA projector.  (I didn't realize that she was no VGA connector when I bought it).  It is a question of making a simple HDMI VGA Converter, or is there a reason why that doesn't work?  This will be used to extend the Windows desktop, in fact, not for the projection of DVD.

    Thank you

    TQ

    HDMI to VGA should work fine. Type the Windows key and the P key and it will bring to the top of the projector setup toolbar.
