  No if you do not replace it you need to get an AMD... the AMDs all have the same type of socket and the Intels are completely different.

  In addition, be aware that more probably, HP will not in material support for W8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011. Some updates for W8, most drivers W7 will work in W8. Here's a http://goo.gl/TJCrA document that gives some information about the gel with Windows 8 machines.

  Hello. Can I extend my W530 Win8.1 display to a monitor Dell via HDMI or a HP via VGA monitor, but not both simultaneously. If I plug both monitors at the same time, then the HP goes to sleep and the Dell takes over the screen of the computer, without the possibility to extend.

  First of all, this is the card to your computer HPE-240f and your HP 2509 m monitors. "Stuck" HDMI, and VGA ports are Intel H57 chipset integrated graphics ports. These ports are disable when a graphics card discrete, like the ATI Radeon HD5570 which is included in your computer, is installed. The card that has a DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort output is your graphics card and not your TV tuner. Your monitors to 2509 m HP has VGA, HDMI and DVI inputs. Connect a monitor with a DVI cable and the other with a HDMI cable.

  I saw the screen shot, I think that Aero is disabled, or the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service is disabled or stopped. Try to run the troubleshooter 'display the Aero effects. " And when firstly, you had the drivers that do NOT support Aero and then updates, Windows does NOT automatically update the settings. You must recaulculate the computer for Aero Performance Index is enabled.

  OK (deep breath). I have a dilemma, and I hope that you all can help me.

  First of all, the HP laptop in question is a dv6-6119wm QE069UA #ABA, Windows 7 Home Premium.

  A month ago, it began overheating and then blue screened on me with a fan error. I ran it while I was getting this error, which was a mistake, because according to me, he has finally caused the hard drive failure after enforcement of reset factory several times. But I'm getting ahead.

Another hard drive WILL work in the dv6, and I had no errors on startup it upward.

  I have no recovery discs or store bought Windows 7, all came with the laptop preinstalled. But I don't have my key to the label.

  Then what should I do? I'm not exactly tech savvy, I know just enough to be dangerous haha, but I tend to go glassy when things get too technical. I thought I could get something Microsoft to reinstall my Windows but I guess they closed this path down a few months ago.

  I have access to 2 other laptops, both HP. A QE304UA of Pavilion G7 #ABA with Windows 7 Home Premium and a HP 250 G2 Portable F7V84UT #ABAwith Windows 7 Professional.

  So basically in order to encapsulate this novel to the top, which can do here to fix my dv6? How can I convince this other HDD HP rather than Gateway? I can create something from one of these other HP laptops? Download something somewhere? I don't want to have to buy Windows again. I love this phone and need her in my life as a game.

  You must do a clean install of Windows on them. The hard drive has drivers for completely different material. Too bad that you did not have your drive to retrieve the value. It would restore the hard drive to HP with all the drivers/software installed. It would depend if the hard disk is at least the same capacity or larger than the original. Recovery discs are reluctant to a smaller capacity hard drive.

  I have a hp pavilion dv6-2010sa and tonight I let it load on my bedroom floor a came after half an hour, he had a white screen. I held button / stop e down until he died. It was hot and so I'm guessing it's overheating. This has never happened before, so I was immediately back on because I panicked. The fan started the cd player its normal noise and all of the lights (like the hp logo and the sensitive keys) came. The only bad thing, is that the screen doesn't seem to work.   I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6-6c40ex Entertainment Notebook and issues with programs not working not properly. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop. I recommend somewhere around November 1, which ensures that the parameters that have been changed are fixed.

  When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.
