Dell printer configuration web tool

I have 2 Dell 3000cn printers in the network connected as network printers.

I am only able to connect to a printer "printer configuration web tool" using the appropriate IP address.

The other printer, I get a response "unable to connect". I tried to connect with Explorer & firefox using windows XP pro, Vista and Linux mint as OS

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Hi Tim,.

Thank you for the update. I would still lean towards the failure of the NETWORK card, as seems to be problems with that specific Protocol. You can try to Flash the firmware to see if that helps at all.

Kind regards

  • Dell printer E525W want E-mail Hotmail account!

Hi, I just installed my new range of Printers Multifunction E525W and he want to email him. It keeps the error 016-507 JOBS FAILURE SMTP.

I'm scanning to email and scan to network folder.

The printer is connected wireless to my WiFi network at home and print wireless well.

2 things, I'm trying to achieve:

    • Scanning to a hotmail account.
    • Scan to network folder.

Can someone guide me through the settings please?  Help, please!

I went through the Dell technical support who are trying to help, but it didn't work. Someone has ideas how to overcome this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you read the User Guide? We do not know what you don't know... maybe you can provide more information about what you have tried

    For Scan to network folder?

    1. use the grouped Dell printer Hub to make the configuration of address book and shared computer configuration folder.

Or manually the installer with built-in web server printer

    2. 2 steps (on the shared folder on the computer and the configuration of the AddressBook to network printer)

    a. allowed shared folder on a network computer to which you have access to. open Windows Explorer, select a folder you want to share. A right-click of the mouse, clicking on share and follow the instructions on the specification of the name of sharing and access rights.

b, A browser, type the IP address of the printer in the address bar.  This will lead you to make the configuration of address book.

Address book you need to enter the credentials for the shared folder you want to access.

For the SMTP configuration. strongly recommend to use the printer Hub companion app that contains information on how to enter the address of the Hotmail/Outlook SMTP e-mail server

  • The print page opens not when I try to print a Web page.

I use Firefox for many months and so far I have had no problem printing a Web page. I was away for a week and discovered this problem yesterday when I tried to print a Web page. Maybe there was some changes during the week that I'm not aware of?

This happens on all websites or is it on particular websites?

Normally, a button to launch a page in the print format appears in a new window. Blocker integrated in Firefox allows popups generated by a user by clicking, but if you have additional security modules, maybe one of them is blocking those.

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

  • Dell printer home

I recently reinstalled my Dell V715w printer, after a hard disk failure, and it is printing very well. When I go to menu start (Win7) and show all programs, and click Dell printers he updates two elements, a folder with the uninstall tool, as well as a Dell printer Home link. When I click on home Dell printer, I get an error window saying "no compatible printer is installed. How can I solve this problem?

    shelquis,

If you restart the computer then pasted must print print jobs in the queue.

I guess that this is related to the IE11 and issue ToolTips.

Open Internet Explorer, click on help, then click about words of Internet Explorer. It should show the version here. If you IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, updates installed, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.

Restart the computer when you are prompted. Then see if your printer works.

The other option is to disable the ToolTips for the printer.

Start, Control Panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more control options. Tell him to never show. The problem with this setting is that you can not tell if you are weak of ink, printer jams, etc..

  • Printing a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file generates a file but it is empty. How can I fix it? I have Firefox 40.0 on a new computer laptop for Windows 10

When I print a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file, it creates a new file, but file Explorer says it's 0 KB in size. These .pdf files will open, but they are white - the only thing that appears is the outline of a page, without anything in the outline. When I print an .xps file, File Explorer shows that it contains 0 KB. When I try to open it, I get a message saying that the XPS Viewer cannot open the file. These things just started for me a few days after I installed Firefox 40.0 on a new computer laptop of Toshiba Satellite with 10 Home Windows operating system. I have the latest version of Flash Player (in fact, I just tried redownloading and reinstalling the current version; that does not solve the problem). I tried to change the format by default to print to .pdf file, but that has not solved the problem. I contacted the chat Windows support site; They told me that it was not a Windows problem. Is this a Firefox problem? If so, you can tell me how to solve the problem, please?

    Thank you

First of all, try to disable the extensions to see if that helps this, then try safe mode.

  • When I try to print a web page it says selected printer cannot be found? Never had any problems until I loaded Windows 10 down. I even updated to fIREFOX.

When I try to print a web page, it comes up with the message selected printer cannot be found.
It was ok until I downloaded Windows 10.
I updated Firefox to the latest edition, but still the same message appears.

    Any ideas?

Hello, please try refreshing firefox and see if that can solve the problem...

  • Size adapted during the printing of web pages no longer works correctly

If I choose the scale to fit, the impression is ridiculously small. If I turn off appropriate size and scale is 100%, it turns 3-page 11-page document and each page is trashed. He is brother laser & printing of normal files (not web) is fine, as is printing of web pages in IE. Tried to reset the settings of the print for brother in all: config.

Is a visible problem in preview before print or preview looks normal and only the real impression is wrong?

Firefox seems to use only part of the page? Sometimes, Firefox saves a wrong paper size setting. This can be a non intuitive such as name

    printer_printer_name.print_paper_data

At least two other users (one said he had a Brother printer) find this 256 value and change to 1 in all: config solved their problem.

  • Firefox only prints the date in prints of web page

I'm on Firefox 11.0 and are unable to print the date and time printed on web page is printed. Layout looks OK and includes the date and time in the bottom of the right hand. Versions prior (V3?) did print the date, but do not print the last few versions (or title numbers, URL or page).

You may need the paper size defined defined too much causing the URL don't not to print.

    Try resetting the printing preferences.

  • print not web page - menu "save under" if poster - unknown problem dialog box then appears. Only recently-, does not happen in Explorer?

Try to print a Web page or a selection from them.
When 'file' - select 'print' on the tabs of Mozilla, it doesn't. The print menu appears, but when 'print' clicked, the menu box "save under" appears. When "save under" is closed, a dialog box appears saying "unknown error during printing. Cannot print Web page unless a screen saver (ie the entire screen). This has happened only recently (update may). Tried it on Windows Explorer and all is ok

After checking the problem existed in all places - found silly finger pain. When selecting 'print' noticed "Selected printer" had been changed from my normal i865 of "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer"!
    Once changed back all O.K.
    Thanks for your trouble
