  First of all, I want to say, this printer has been the worse product I have ever used in every category imaginable. It not worked properly since 3 weeks after I had, when he ceased to recognize the USB drives and memory cards.

  The problem I have now is that it will not print in color or black and white.

  I tried to print a picture and the color cartridge is almost empty, I went in the "printer properties" and choose "print using black ink only" because the black cartridge is full.   On the off chance that the black cartridge had stopped working, I replaced it with a new one now I got, and now it will print in black.

  It's already happened, where a new cartridge close suddenly stopped working. In the past, I tried to clean the cartilage of the ink (according to the directions in the link above), but it didn't work. The only solution was to buy a new ink cartridge.

  It is a problem out of dozens who did anything printing nothing but frustrating, to the point where I stuff my e-mail and pay for print work.

  Needless to say, I am replacing that pile of junk as soon as possible, and I'm never buying another Dell printer.

  No problem.  I'm always happy to help you.  Looks like you might be on the right track with the cable.  What you are discribing it seems it's a communication problem, more of a problem with the drivers.  Make sure that you do not use a USB cable that is more than 6 feet (2 m).  Anything more than that and the loss of signal can cause problems like this.  Let me know what happens.

• New Dell v525 will not print black

  Just got a v525w of my company for my remote desktop.  I went through the installation process on the disc, but the printer will print color not black, only.  All cartridges are new aluminum foil packaging and a quick search online has not turned upward all useful patches.  Touch the round black cartridge pad shows the ink in the cartridge, once again, don't think it's the cartridge.

  Any thoughts on how to fix?

  Phone support rep had me clean print head and that fixed it.  Such storage or shipping sometimes affects the print head.

  You probably lost your ink color, but still have black. Status reports sometimes show the wrong information of ink. Try to install a new cartridge (color) and try printing in color. If this wroks, I was right.

  I have recently installed WIndows 10 without checking the list of Dell systems that have been tested and support Windows 10. The new OS is nice, however, I can see the current boot on my laptop screen before the screen will Dim. After this point, I don't see what I'm doing if I connect my laptop to the tv with an hdmi cable.

  One of my friends with the same exact model which has also installed Windows 10 has faced the same question. We figure it must be a problem with the driver not updated for the graphics card. Is there anyone else with this problem or a potential solution? Thanks in advance for any help you provide.

  Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 product has not been tested for Windows 10 upgrade. I suggest you to reinstall the driver of the video card in Windows 8 in compatibility mode. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the operating system, then download BIOS BIOS section and the video section on the system video card driver and install it in compatibility mode.

  I have a laptop connected via VGA to this monitor and it takes size to display full-screen (ie. the image goes all the way at the edge of the screen).  My desktop PC is connected to the same monitor via a HDMI Monster of good quality cable and my resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 and again the display was about a black 1 inch around edge (ie. the picture is NOT all the way on the screen - there is about an inch all around here it's dark).  When I go to OSD, the Auto setting is gray.  The menu OSD tells me that I'm using "resolution: 1080 p".  I tried to reset the settings of the monitor, but that did not help.

  Because the screen is narrowed down, I don't actually use a native resolution and text rendering is horrible.  In some cases, it is so bad, it is difficult to read some screens.  I need to know how to solve this problem, otherwise the monitor will be back in the store.

  I think that there is a problem with my graphics card.  I connected another computer to this monitor via HDMI and the monitor worked fine.
