Dell Stage & Windows 10

Hello

My laptop is preinstalled with Dell Stage. Since the purchase, I upgraded to win 10 of Win 7.

Dell Stage is not compatible with Win 10. (see below)

I tried to uninstall Dell Stage of my system, but that proved impossible.

I visited downloads Dell to try and get another complete version of the software pre-installed , but that seems also impossible as Dell downloads won't charge no matter what.

Dell Stage does not work on 10 to win. It was preinstalled on my laptop. I can't uninstall Dell Stage of my system. I can't on Dell downloads.

Dell Stage trying to load at startup, and it significantly slows startup.

So, what are my options?

After searching around, I discovered that even if you cannot uninstall Dell Stage, you can remove it from your startup program.  Cortana, type ms and click on System Configuration of the System Configuration box should appear.  Press start, then the Task Manager open blue.  Scroll to Dell Stage and highlight, then in the lower right corner of the box you see Disable.  Click to disable and close the box and restart the computer.  You won't be bothered again by Dell Stage.

Dell Inspiron laptop about 4-5 years.

    Running windows 7 Home Edition.

Does not start little matter what I tried.

If I remember correctly, I looked in MS-DOS mode and noticed that it said something like "x: win...» "that seemed strange to me because I thought that it should say"c: victory... "but as I said I am not a computer wiz so if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

I'm about to rip the hair off my head with my laptop. My latitude was blue planned, surprisingly I fixed it (don't ask how, you couldn't tell). Then my dell inspiron would not start right after my dell latitude fell out of my truck and landed on the sidewalk, wanted to kill the person, the screen is broken. I can use it but it is very difficult, see a mosquito net and not perfectly clear, works well. lol someone knows somewhere or that would install a new screen for a reasonable price? I live in the Boston area.

    Hello

Thank you for the update on the issue. I appreciate your time and effort in resolving this issue.

You can try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

You can use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot and repair the following items in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

    • A master boot record (MBR)
    • A boot sector
    • A Boot Configuration data (BCD) store

Note: When you are troubleshooting startup issues by using the Windows RE, you should first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If the Startup Repair option does not resolve the problem, or if you must troubleshoot more steps manually, use the Bootrec.exe

Use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/927392

If the problem persists, proceed to method 2.

    Method 2:

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Tool command prompt open in the mode of the Windows recovery environment .
    2. You will see X:\Sources
    3. Type chkdsk c:\ at the flashing prompt to launch the utility Chkdsk. replace c:\ with the letter of the drive that you want to run the Chkdsk utility. If the hard drive is d:\, then type that instead.
    4. After the "chkdsk c:\. "insert \f command to fix errors on the disk volume or the \r to recover bad sectors and then press ENTER.
    5. Restart the computer once the chkdsk command has completed.

Note: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive, it attempts to repair this sector, if all available on which data may be lost.

  • Using the step of Dell on Windows 7: how your choice to the top of the screen or restore changes

It is my second computer with Windows 7.  The first has a list of links that have folders for my programs on top of the screan I might add, delete, add my programs to and change the images of.  It can be moved around the screen and has been extremely useful.  I just got a laptop with Windows 7 and the list ONLY allows me to change the name of the tiles, which are MUCH larger and along the bottom of the screen.  A placement I find extremely difficult to use.  Is it possible to change this back to the way it was?  Or at least back up to the top of the screen?

    Thank you

Then "Java update fails to apply the changes to your system."

Then "error 1722.  There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.  A fun program as part of the Setup did not finish as expected.

Earlier, I had a problem with the video and had Windows reinstalled 7.  Now my AOL games don't show/reading.  JAVA said error 1722 is an InstallShield error code. It indicates that the installation process has failed. The exact reason for this error is not known at this time.  I was told to uninstall JRE (Java Runtime Environment).  I find two versions of Java on my system (no JRE) - Java (TM) 6 - update 14 and 14 (64-bit).  Should I uninstall both?... OR WHAT?

    Hi Betty48228,

Here's how to solve your problem:
    (1) uninstall all versions of Java.
    (2) the uninstall will probably fail. If so, get Revo Uninstaller free http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htmland uninstall Java in advanced mode (integrated Java uninstaller runs, failure and then Revo will delete everthing manually). You will need to restart your PC.
    (3) reinstall Java: http://java.com/en/download/

Your system could be achieved a malware.

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

Some malicious software is aware of the methods you're most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, command prompt, Internet, Google, etc.)

The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.

The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.

You can fool the malware (and then fix it).

Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.

Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize.  I like to call the copy:

    c:\windows\system32\jose.exe

Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.

The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a running process in order to thwart you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).

Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly).  If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but will be still infected your system.

Usually, there are a few other things that also don't work you would like to know later, so I recommend you do this:

Reduce the risk of malware by running some scans.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

It can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, test your task manager and we can repair any other pending issues.

If things look good, you can delete the c:\windows\system32\jose.exe file.

  • Wireless 365 Bluetooth module Dell on Windows 8 pro

Dell Wireless 365,370,380 Bluetooth module is the most common Bluetooth device that Dell uses. His normally supports the Widdcom manufactured by Broadcom and changed by Dell Bluetooth driver... But dell has removed the Windows 8 media in some old portable Windows 7 as N5010...

But fortunately the drivers windows 7 work correctly on windows8 and most of them is installed during the installation of windows... But the main problem is the Bluetooth (Dell Wireless 3XX module) driver

Broadcom has released their Bluetooth for Windows 8 PRO driver... driver Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 has support for many Bluetooth devices and module Bluetooth of Dell Wireless 3XX figure in the support list... But as Broadcom don't supply drivers directly to customers... they give him to the manufacturers of systems such as Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc. and change for the convenience of their customers.

This is the Broadcom Bluetooth driver 4.0 the Lenovo site that works well on the Dell 365 Bluetooth device without any compatibility issues, and also you can use the Bluetooth Control Panel, as you do in Windows 7

It is THE answer to the 365 dell driver installation!

Now I have BT on DELL xt2 Windows 8.1 AND WORKS BETTER than the BROADCOM option!

  • Dell stage blocking an icon

Dell stage blocking a shortcut icon on the screen of my computer and I can't get access to the icon.  Can anyone help?

    Hello JeanneCalkins_503,

I don't know what you mean by "Dell stage", but two options for you, both involve the Task Manager. In both cases, you use the Task Manager to access the shortcut that is blocked and give him a new place to become a shortcut to.

    Option 1 (preferred):

    (1) open the Task Manager (right click on the taskbar, and then click "Start Task Manager") find the shortcut that you try to access the Application from the Task Manager tab and right-click on it, then click on "put in the foreground.

    (2) take the icon with left click and move it stationed behind the dell Stadium. who will give him a different position when you close this request to its shortcut icon. Alternatively, you can right click on it again in the Task Manager and click on "expand".

    Option 2:

((1) to open the Task Manager (right click on the taskbar, and then click "Start Task Manager") find the icon "Dell stage" which hides your application shortcut and move it as 2) above (pass of the road somewhere elsewhere on the desktop), or close and then access and move the icon of shortcut to his blocking.

Let me know if you have other questions about it.

    Kind regards
