Using a Dell OEM Windows license/w COA on a Dell Server
Hello
I was wondering if it's in Microsoft's EULA to use a Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter license which will be purchased by EBay with original Dell DVD and COA stickers on a Dell server.
The list in question is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm//131778112449
I break my all-purpose words if I purchase these licenses and use them on Dell servers that I own and put the COA sticker on the chassis of the server?
Thank you.

OEM Windows license is determined as being non-genuine
I have Sony laptop computer which came with Windows Vista OEM. I was uopgrade to Windows & (also from Sony). When the recent reinstallation of the operating system installation of Windows Vista, and then upgrade to Windows 7, I installed Windows 7 directly using an image original Windows 7 and then used the product key I have upgrade DVD, to activate my Windowes. Although the activation is successful, Windows Update does not work, and I started getting messages that my computer is not running genuine windows. How to solve this problem? Thank you.
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

Report of an unauthorized use of the software windows
My faculty is using copies without a windows license. I know 100% that they use at least 30 copies of the operating system windows without a license. My University use about 30 copies, and primary, secondary, international school which is above my ability (in the same building) uses the same operating system windows without a license. I want to report to windows, how can I give this information for windows?

Hello world. I'm working on a rental of TI and customers our laptops rent company. The question is, some of these laptops were sent without the COA sticker on it. It is illegal for a laptop that comes with windows 7 pro with no COA sticker on them?
Its a dell laptop computer Vostro and they come with Windows 7 Pro. Yes, I can still use the Dell OEM disc to reinstall the OS and still make it genuine because it activates automatically, but it's still legal? No COA sticker? The question is, Windows 7 OEM version installation disc exclusively for their range of PC brand, that doesn't require activation (which means Windows is activated by default). This inherited feature is applicable for all models, regardless of the Windows license that contains the product.
For example, if you buy a Dell with Windows 7 Ultimate laptop preinstalled (you can find COA with the product key) and creates a recovery disk or an installation disc came with the PC, the work of discs fine with other models (works with the other model range of only Dell and do not agree with other brands like HP) that this also where Windows 7 Edition Home Premium or no windows (such as BACK or Linux in which case, COA is not present) was preinstalled. Can't find any question using the same Windows 7 Ultimate in these parts as these PCs also are the same OEM built. But this step is illegal according to the law, as the license is for Windows 7 Home Premium and no payment (for the upgrade or a new license) has been filed before using Windows 7 Ultimate edition. To stop this, Microsoft has improved the technique of licenses in Windows 8 where the COA/product key is embedded in the BIOS of the computer itself and so built the provided Windows installation disc with that particular PC cannot be installed in other PC, even if they are from the same manufacturer. In your case, lack of COST means, the label must have been damaged or removed or that the product is legally authorized to hold preinstalled Windows 7. In this case, he must purchase a new license. If the label is damaged or deleted, you can install the same edition of Windows 7, but that many want to confirm with Dell, using the Express Service Code or Service number, before continuing. -
due to a major problem, I have to completely remove the operating system (under license). can I still use this key to set up windows again? I have a key to the back of my sticker only computer laptop written "SOFTWARE OEM windows xp". Can I use this key with any windows xp cd? or I have to use a specific version? can u give me the link to download the specific version?
Thanks in advance
You must use the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer (or the integrated recovery system) - see you manual for more details.
The major advantage of this is that all the required drivers should be included, so that you can immediately connect to the internet and install all updates.
Reisntalling using the sysstem of correct recovery also means that you shouldn't need to use the key on your COA stiker - as key to 'master' of the manufactuerer is integrated into the system and should not require activation.

I have a bunch of license OEM Windows 7 Professional laying hens and forget for a few years in the locker.,.
Now I wonder how it can be used! or there is still a check is still unused or already taken.
WebLink might be good.
Thank you very much
PeterIf these are OEM System Builder licenses, they should be accompanied with reinstall media.
If these are OEM licenses belonging to DELL, HP, Lenovo brand computers, then you cannot install them elsewhere but the computer to which they belong.

I bought a used laptop with a version of Win7 OEM and license will not authenticate.
Hi, I believe that the seller must have used a version of Win7 OEM upgrade but wiped the original OS from the laptop. I've been going round in circles with the supplier for weeks now nothing does. They want to send back me the phone so that they can "Watch".

Hello
I need some real tips on Windows license manager that I don't want to go against all Microsoft software license.
As a backdrop, I have the following:
-an OEM Windows 7 Pro that came with the purchase of a Dell PC
-a license in Volume Windows 8 with Software Assurance purchased by my company
I would like to know if I can install the copy of the OEM Windows 7 Pro in a virtual machine on the Dell PC, while having a Windows Installer on the physical PC/computer Dell 8.1. i.e. physical Machine Dell PC = Windows Enterprise 8.1; Virtual machine in the same Dell PC is Windows 7 Pro OEM.
I don't want to do a dual boot to install because it will be difficult to remove once my 3rd party applications fully supports Windows 8.1; and I also want to keep my PC as clean as possible. I also can't use one of the Open License of Windows 8 as a lower upgrade to Windows 7 as this installation will take another license to use.
I read from the windows 7 EULA that:
'Use with Virtualization Technologies. Rather than use the software directly on the licensed computer, you can install and use the software within the virtual (or emulated) only on the licensed computer system... »
I was wondering that the clause applies, but I don't know if the OEM Windows 7 Pro can be activated on a virtual machine because I don't have the OEM product key.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, you can.

It's the same clause I was going to paste attesting that you can install the license OEM Windows 7 in a VM.
In addition, since you have Windows Enterprise 8.1, you can use the built in Hyper-v:
Windows 8 integrates into hypervisor called Hyper-V.
This requires that your processor supports the translation of the secondary addresses.
To see if your processor is supported:
Press the Windows key + X
Click on programs and features
Click on turn Windows features on or off
See if you can check off Hyper-V and all its options of void
If this isn't the case, it does not support Hyper-v.
You can use alternatives such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMWare Player.

HP: unlock OEM windows 7 for use with another computer?
Hello
I recently got a HP computer with an OEM windows installation 7. After the machine (fatal hardware failure), I tried to use the windows key to install it on another computer. However, the key is an OEM product and would not activate, so after talking to microsoft they sent me here to ask if the manufacturer could "unlock" the key for use with another computer (that I build from scratch).
So all this possible? Or do I have to buy a new license?
Okay, Ive talked to HP and microsoft and it turns out that the key has been blocked (pirates). So much for the purchase of second hand.

License OEM Windows 7 Professional 32-bit come with downgrade rights to XP Professional?
If I buy a copy of (System Integrator) OEM Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, does include downgrade rights to Windows XP Pro?
I build essentially the individual PCs for personal use and small businesses; However, I have a client who seeks PCs 35 at point of sale that will have access to a central server. Although I recommended the use of XP mode in Windows 7, my customer has been informed by its supplier of software that XP Pro is the best option for the current version of the software.
Although I could purchase copies of XP Pro OEM, my concern is that - during the life cycle of these PCs - my client will have to migrate to Windows 7, as new versions of its software point of sale are available. If possible, I would like the opportunity to buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses, installation of XP Pro with downgrade rights and later have the ability to change to Windows 7 without having to purchase new licenses. Is it an option if I buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses?
Also, I need 35 licenses for a single customer, volume licenses would be more cost-effective? My current Windows 7 Pro OEM or Windows XP Pro OEM price is about $ 150 per license.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Yes, a version of Windows 7 Professional OEM rights to downgrade to Windows XP Professional. Volume license is not a scheme of licensing "for resale.
