Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility &; Windows 7
Hi all
Today, I got my Windows 7 upgrade disks and when I jumped into the Windows 7 upgrade wizard disk, it scanned my system for incompatible software. Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility was the single item on the list. The message reads as follows:
"A compatible version of Windows 7 from this software is not available in the upgrade DVD. Download a compatible version of Windows 7 from this software from the vendor's web site.
I googled this and searched the Dell website and forums but have not seen anything on this subject. Everyone knows about this problem?
I am running 64 bit Vista Home Premium Edition on an Inspiron 1545 laptop.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
The Dell utility does not have that much (in terms of added features). Consider to withdraw and let Windows 7 to manage the wireless connection.

Hello
Actually try updating your driver and check with Dell Support and Forums if necessary.
Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The

Initially, I have asked for help via microsoft's answer and with their encouragement I'm updateed each available player available on the DELL Web site, the reinstallation of VC ++ 2008.
I now concentrate on my WLAN card itself.
But may I ask if anyone here has any experience of this fault or he has seen before.
I am a little concerned that it is not marked up as a mistake by my notification Center.
Please, I have to say that after 2 hours of surveillance last night, I don't have my problem.
I am happy to say that own reconstruction has solved my problem.
Thanks a lot for all your help Dell-r .

error code to remove the Dell Wireless LAN card utility
I'm moving from VISTA to Windows 7 and I can't remove the utility of LOCAL network error Dell Wireless card, I couldn't remove the control panel nor.
Hi orionhunter,
(a) what is the error code? Error code would help us a lot to identify the problem and provide specific troubleshooting steps to solve the problem.
Try to remove the card Wifi from Dell in the clean boot state .
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.
Follow the steps below to put your computer in a clean boot state:Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.
1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.
2. click on the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
Note following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.5. click OK and then click on restart.
Now the system is in a clean boot state.
Check the link to learn more about the clean boot below:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Restart the computer in normal mode when you are finished troubleshooting.
1. click the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart

Unable to connect to internet wireless - WLAN card non - Satellite Pro M10
Hi, I just got a second hand toshiba satellite pro M10 and I just of him relandscaped and put windows xp home edition on it. What I would like to be able to do is to connect to my network wireless of families so that I can get rid of all the cables on the floor. My laptop seems to think that there is no wireless card installed well. Now, I had the same problem with the lan cable, but I went on the tosibas Web site and downloaded a patch and update the driver in Device Manager. I am not able to do it with the wireless as there are no drivers to download for it and there is apparently no for this device in the Device Manager. Could someone please help me and tell me what to do and how I can download a patch or fix the problem. Thank you, Andrew Reid
Hello
first of all, have you installed the drivers according to the installation instructions?
If this is not the case, this can cause problems. When you see the wireless card works correctly in the Device Manager, check if you get a signal of any router. If there is nothing the card WLAN is defective, or the router works with another standard (a, b, g).
Good bye
