  I got this HP printer for a while and it worked fine.  Our old router is out and we had to get a new one.  Installed perfectly and printer continued to work properly.  The password for the router was ridiculous, that's why I changed it to something much more simple to remember.  Since then, my printer will not connect to wireless internet.  I have a ~ and reinstalled the printer but still have the same problem.  I thought maybe to try the former password would, but who does not work either.

  Anyone has any ideas that might help before chuck it and go and get a new one altogether?

  Easy things first.  Turn off the router and the printer.  Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes.  Turn on the printer and see if it connects to your router.  Status?

  If no joy, temporarily disable all security in the router.  Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password.  Status now?

  If OK, go back and add WPA2-AES with your simple password.  Status now?

  Can you tell me if you have tried the steps that I posted in my previous answer and the results?

  You will also want to try to update the drivers for the card wireless on the laptop. You can find the drivers here: 15-n267sa HP Pavilion PC drivers. You will find them listed under network after you choose your operating system and click Next.

  There are a number of drivers here. Make sure you only download the drivers that match your exact wireless adapter. To see which card you have:

  1. Press the Windows Key + X.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand network adapters.

  Once you have checked the map, download the appropriate drivers and run the installer.

  Let me know if these steps resolve the problem.

  Hello. A week ago my compact z3 ceased to make and receive phone calls and texts while the mobile web still worked very well. I thought the problem was with the service provider and they changed the old 3g to a new 4g sim sim. Now also Internet has stopped working and still no calls / texts pass anyway.   He ended up not being not at all a problem of sony. The phone had been stolen before I have bought, but had not been reported before now and now it has been locked. The one I got as a replacement (same model) works perfectly well.

Connection via IP address instead of the standard method (automatic); After installation by using the IP address, I get: "(IP address) is currently unavailable." Please check if it is turned on & connected or try again later. "or"home network is busy. I try to send a print job - it goes to the 6500 but 93% finished and then permanently suspended. Printer icon bounce on star red w Dock & number '1' on this issue. In the list of printers, 6500 has a Red House, rather than a green.

  OK - I found the answer on the Apple site & boy is simple: (1) remove the printer since the two machines, (2) drivers turn off 'sharing' on the host machine, (3) install the drivers on the host, (4) install the drivers on the remote computer, (5) turn on printer sharing. Voila! It's a question of the order in which you do things...

  I just bought a mfp laserjet pro 400 m425dn printer/phtocopier and I can't seem to connect to our network.  I have it plugged into the router and it says "cable disconnected" without an IP address.  I don't have the USB cable to configure the machine and I was hoping to do it via the network (which tells me is an option).  I don't know if that has something to do with it.

  The printer should be released the box set up using DHCP for addressing.

  When plug you it into the router it should pull an IP address, if it is its cable disconnected then you might have a bad port on the router, a bad cable or a bad printer.

  Plug something else into the same port with the same cable and see if it works, if you have a defective printer and need to return it and get a replacement.

  You may also be able to find someone to replace the trainer who has the network port to it.

  I just installed a new modem which has replaced a router and a modem.   But now my Printer (Deskjet j310a) HP does not work.  The window of the poster printer 'Wireless is not connected' shows you settings button choice: Disable wireless. WPS; Default values.  I don't know what to do and would like to return printer.  And before I changed modem, there was a small symbol of bluetooth on the bottom of the screen and it is gone now.  Any ideas?

  Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try channel 1 first and then the other one at a time.  Make sure that the printer and the router are spaced at least 5 feet.

  However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.
