  Recently bought a HP Pavilion laptop and have tried to connect to my wifi at home.   Can you tell me if you have tried the steps that I posted in my previous answer and the results?

  You will also want to try to update the drivers for the card wireless on the laptop. You can find the drivers here: 15-n267sa HP Pavilion PC drivers. You will find them listed under network after you choose your operating system and click Next.

  There are a number of drivers here. Make sure you only download the drivers that match your exact wireless adapter. To see which card you have:

  1. Press the Windows Key + X.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand network adapters.

  Once you have checked the map, download the appropriate drivers and run the installer.

  Let me know if these steps resolve the problem.

  OK - I know this ground was picked up, but I used every fix recommended here & come again empty-handed. Here's the deal: I have two Macs: a Mac Pro (Basic) and an iMac (remotely). HP 960C has worked (via radio) w / iMac up to what I've updated to Snow Leopard - no surprise b/c HP 960C does not (and will not) Snow Leopard driver. Wireless connectivity for iMac is fine except for OJ 6500 a. I tried everything - washing & re - install the software from the Apple website. Connection via IP address instead of the standard method (automatic); After installation by using the IP address, I get: "(IP address) is currently unavailable." Please check if it is turned on & connected or try again later. "or"home network is busy. I try to send a print job - it goes to the 6500 but 93% finished and then permanently suspended. Printer icon bounce on star red w Dock & number '1' on this issue. In the list of printers, 6500 has a Red House, rather than a green.

  OK - I found the answer on the Apple site & boy is simple: (1) remove the printer since the two machines, (2) drivers turn off 'sharing' on the host machine, (3) install the drivers on the host, (4) install the drivers on the remote computer, (5) turn on printer sharing. Voila! It's a question of the order in which you do things...

  I just bought a mfp laserjet pro 400 m425dn printer/phtocopier and I can't seem to connect to our network.  I have it plugged into the router and it says "cable disconnected" without an IP address.  I don't have the USB cable to configure the machine and I was hoping to do it via the network (which tells me is an option).  I don't know if that has something to do with it.

  The printer should be released the box set up using DHCP for addressing.

  When plug you it into the router it should pull an IP address, if it is its cable disconnected then you might have a bad port on the router, a bad cable or a bad printer.

  Plug something else into the same port with the same cable and see if it works, if you have a defective printer and need to return it and get a replacement.

  You may also be able to find someone to replace the trainer who has the network port to it.
