DEP closing McAfee - updated failed

A Windows Update has failed. Also, now the DEP farm my McAfee... and other assorted fun stuff:

I am early in naked before doing anything and asking what to do first.
I NEED AN EXPERIENCED PRO ~ but who can afford it?

DEP farm now all of a sudden my McAfee antivirus. And lately I noticed that my computer is answer snail-slow, then by restarting takes 10 minutes to load my desktop.
OK, I use Firefox, update windows with Vista Home Premium. My system just got an auto-update for windows and a message stated that 1 updates could not be installed. (Have no idea which) or why.

Now today my computer would not load my desktop when I turned it on.
I rebooted, and it finally loaded... but the messages DEP again... telling me that my McAfee was closed, after I opted for 'Find a solution online' and nothing happened. The icon in the task bar disappeared and my anti-virus program so closed and went.

Before you do anything, I want to know what is happening and hope for good basic simple step by step guide, because I know virtually nothing about computer programming and do not know what are the things.

I can't run my anti-virus program now?
Before I didn't even try, I thought that I was asking questions before attempting to find and open it.

* Remarks:
I only visit Facebook and YouTube regularly and sometimes to download a song or two on a free DLing program.
My emails come through Yahoo only and very occasionally, hotmail.

KB2467175 was released on April 12, 2011, and tons of users having problems to install. Turns out there was a problem on the end of Microsoft (a "detection problem") therefore MS re-released update April 21, 2011. But by then, the update servers have been flooded by Win7 computers worldwide trying to download & install (often repeatedly) a few other updates having a "detection problemsSo it seems that your Vista computer was caught in the maelstrom "Pefect Storm", unfortunately for you.

That being said, you have a problem on your hands if McAfee Internet Security always fails to load or if you are unable to update its definitions manually. Guess I'll know more this question when you post your follow-up.

Good luck!

PS: at least one (1) new, no security update will be published for Vista computers on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.

    Hello

If you have McAfee and Windows, you must do the following to get the patch to work properly.

    1. disable McAfee Firewall (or any other antivirus you have) and Scan of viruses in real time.

    2. go to the Task Manager and make sure that you stop everything works for Adobe. This includes Adobe Creative Cloud, synchronization of the base Office Adobe or a Service for Adobe Desktop Creative Cloud, broker IPC, everything. You can right click on anything on this list and either end process or end task.

    3. Once this is done, run the executable of Adobe Creative cloud as an administrator (right click on the file, select run as administrator)

    4. it fires all the apps that you just closed, but now they are not affected by McAfee.

5 put to day what it takes.

    6. replace your firewall and Virus scan programs.

If this does not at first, reboot the machine you and then try the same steps.

  • Satellite L755-S5349 - BIOS update failed - black screen

    Hello.

So yesterday, I got a Toshiba pop-up message to update my BIOS, so I clicked it and it started to update but then it says "error checking".

So I closed it, cause I had to restart my computer after one previous update with another program and I thought to try to update the BIOS after you restart.

But once it restarted it is off, so I tried to put back market but the screen is black, lights are immediately (food, batt etc.) and the fan works just as well. I tried to take the battery out and in again but screen remains black.

Could someone please tell me what you think it might be and what I have to do.

I also tried with a HDMI, but it does not recognize.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

I think I have bad news for you.
To me, it seems that the update of the BIOS didn't
Why? Who knows maybe that some applications that runs in the background affected the BIOS update process.

I've updated the BIOS on my laptop last night, everything went well. First, I downloaded the BIOS package from the Toshiba page. Then I unzipped the folder.
I closed all applications that looked like Firewall, antivirus etc software
Then I did the BIOS update

At least in cases where the BIOS update failed, you must get in touch with a local ASP Toshiba in order to solve this problem in the best of cases they need to update the module ROM again

During the shutdown, some files are 'configured '. Upon restart, during the boot of Windows GUI (circles of flight), there is a break-up of the code, something about the registry. I think that you run some aggressive scans on your system for infections malware\virus.  The fact that you get into any trouble with the Windows updates as well as 3 updates (Apple and Adobe) party leads us to a problem that is more then just a Windows Update issue.  You do not mention 2 firewall running.  You must disable one of them, because the firewall programs may conflict with each other and cause problems.  Here are some links with useful information about the protection malware\virus.
